  1. Gone by Wednesday (hope).
  2. So does no one have even a rumour from a Sunday tabloid to share ?
  3. How many tournaments is it now that Lumplard has failed to perform for England ? I think this might be his third after 2006 and Euro 2004.It seems a bit to familiar now seeing him playing as a shadow of how he does for Chelsea.
  4. Agree with the bit in bold, the German players are far more disciplined in their approach and better prepared mentally than our prima donnas. On the evidence served up so far the Germans should win,but its now a cup tie and the Germans are not invincible as Serbia proved so heres hoping...
  5. discharge
  6. Wasn't he asked to step down or was voted off the council for non-attendance?
  7. flange
  8. I used to go to a pub near Wokingham/Henley called The Ferret Inn where they brewed their own before micro-breweries became fashionable. I can't recall the names of the beers but they also made 'The Ferret Inn Cider'.
  9. If they did nothing else, their late winner against Algeria managed to bugger our prospects of an easier route to the semi-finals. And they did beat Algeria.
  10. I would be amazed if that was so.
  11. I remember him returning to The Dell with Hereford, unbelievable and emotional reception given to him.
  12. Laughable comments given his record of promotion and progress at Leicester but I wonder how these comments differ from the reaction on Saints Forever/Forum at the time Pearson was first announced to be coming to us.
  13. Perhaps because we have not reached the "decent level" yet ?
  14. I think Paine started in the first two matches before Ramsey went for his wingless system.
  15. But a ridiculous move by Pearson if reports of Hull's finances are correct.Personally I think Leicester have the better potential. It must come down to rift(s) with MM.
  16. Grew up with the early Beatles music, She Loves You,Help etc and despite it perhaps now seeming 'naff' to younger people it is difficult not to listen to those tracks without being moved by the sound. It is difficult to convey - to the young Badger for example - just how that music was so inspiring when first released and how the music scene changed because of The Beatles. I also like some of the early lp tracks, I saw her standing there, Twist and Shout etc.
  17. ample
  18. Wild guess - a day before or at the same time as our away kit is announced.
  19. Possibly, although I would not be surprised if we sign a younger keeper - with potential to play in the Premiership - once we are promoted to the CCC.That way we will have part of our Prem team in place immediately.
  20. What chance Manderpr!ck might try and lure Pardew to Leicester ? We all know the tw^t is obsessed with Saints deep down.
  21. hyper
  22. Not given him the No 3 shirt yet though. Not that it is conclusive by any means.
  23. He also wore yellow in 1966: Yes,I remember when GK's only wore green in league games. I think Shilton and a couple of others broke rank c1974 with different colours - blue, and Shilton I think once wore white against us - but generally it was green.
  24. It wasn't a handicap for about 60 years before the trend to gk multi-range of colour kits.
