I know we may not rank him as the best footballer in the squad, and I know he isn't the most popular player on this forum either. But his devotion to the club is great, and he loves the club. From what other players have said he keeps people amused in the dressing room and at training, so perhaps we should all stop giving him so much stick. Ok, if someone has a crap game then fair enough, but some of the stick he gets on here... you would think he is a League One version of Ali Dia. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2029848,00.html
  10. RIP, shame he hasn't seen us get out of this league yet, but at least he has been to a saints Wembley win and enjoyed a great promising season.
  11. I wondered the same thing, except I doubt Reed will be involved in transfer negotiations which is often within the DoF/Sporting Director's remit.
  12. Dawson though has also been linked to Fulham and the yids ...I suspect he might prefer a club at a higher level.
  13. I was told by a Man City fan at the time, and have since read that Lawrie and John Bond came to an agreement after Lawrie agreed to let Steve Williams go to City(plus cash adjustment). The then City chairman Peter Swales vetoed it in fear of a backlash from their fans.
  14. MLT's first v Newcastle 1993(or 4?) is my favourite individual goal, but the Channon v Liverpool is easily the best team goal. If I have to come off the fence, perhaps Channon's goal shades it for several bits of individual brilliance..the overhead kick by Armstrong who incredibly is also involved in the start of the build up...how much ground did Armstrong,Channon and Keegan make up for that move?...and the wheeling arm celebration to end it..
  15. Athletic surely ? And as someone else has mentioned, there is always the prospect of Aldershot as well. ...and Argyle!
  16. Interviewed for what, the Bristol City job? I can't see Hughes in a DoF role, and he would probably see himself in a higher profile role than Saints.
  17. cuckoo clocks?
  18. Only problem is that the shellsuits might blend in with some of the Medway towns own lowlife.
  19. I remember Neil Ruddocks injury time penalty winner v Newcastle c1989.
  20. miniscule

  22. That bloke's blazer is far classier than chef's trousers, blue wig and clown shoes don't you think?
  23. Fair point, although a distinction I would make is that he still seemed young and hungry enough to prove a point and succeed.I always felt that with AP his best days might not be behind him.
  24. Interesting conspiracy theory but one rumour today - Mail on Sunday - is that Coppell will take over at Bristol City. Like you I want AP to remain. Should he leave then I don't want us to again go down the route of allowing a previous name to use us as a means of rehabilitation back into the game (ie Hughes,Curbishley etc). This however is hypothetical so no point proffering candidates.
  25. What was the backgound for that get up ?
