  1. How much is the extra cost to be breastfed ?
  2. Yes,its the OS promoting Wotte "by association".Ask Hiddink about Wotte, that might be a more illuminating reference. Rather like Lawrie trying to publiscise the brilliance of appointing Pearson on the back of a vague (name dropping) reference to Sir Anal Ferguson who rated Pearson highly.A reference and endorsement never seen or heard of elsewhere.
  3. "Only Rupert Lowe had the foresight to appoint Sir Clive Woodward as a football manager, and now the premiership beckons...".
  4. BO!!OCKS. What evidence of managerial potential ? Thats two f^ck ups,out of two, skates and Wycombe.I would not wish to see him at St Marys.
  5. Ditto. How we need someone in the Ted Bates mould again now.
  6. I'm too young - even though I'm now well into my forties, and a miserable bast^rd in my own right- to remember, but I am aware how Big Ron,And John McGrath would happily stand shoulder to shoulder with my Dad and Grandfather getting seriously p!ssed in a lock-in in the 60's. Now of course players would only want to be in exclusive clubs, not drinking with the masses.
  7. Did you lift that from a Spurs site ?
  8. Actually,I'm pleased for his sake he is not.
  9. A topic for a different thread perhaps, but yes you are right. In summarising the enormity of Lowe's mismanagement and achievement,he has undone the great work of both Ted,and Lawrie.Indeed once Lowe's tenure has finished neither Ted nor Lawrie need have existed, and the club will be turning back nearly fifty years.
  10. WGS is only a contender to make the numbers up,nothing more.Always felt Alan Ball was destined to succeed at Saints as a manager, but sadly not,his tenure cut short in my view by boardroom mismanagement (DoF and all). That was a sign of things to come.
  11. Ted Bates. As much as Lawrie did at the club, and as great a hero he was to me in the 1970's/early 80's his achievements are dwarfed by Ted. Although Lawrie elevated us into the big time Ted took us from obscurity in the old third tier (south) into Europe. (No doubt in my mind whose achievements we now need to repeat.)
  12. Reminds me of a secular analogy someone made earlier..... We must be approaching Planet Rupert.
  13. Ditto. Except I would always worry that Rupert might want another go at this football thing at his local club.
  14. In the clubs defence,we once signed a goalkeeper from Wolves who had earlier conceded nine goals in one match at The Dell. Not that I'm overwhelmed with this signing;but possibly on par or better than Pulis ?
  15. But they don't have to be as they are still very productive cheap labour in the sandwich factory. No doubt lured into it by false promises of carving a better life as a professional footballer.
  16. I bet his mum insisted he had a 'bowl head' before he went back for start of term at Radley or wherever.
  17. Joe Bolocz ? Agree.Obviously he is Lowe's mole in eastern Europe.KVDW is no doubt the 'go between' or fixer. Perhaps is just too 'Smileys People' but you never can tell ,can you? Especially these public school types,I never had Rupert down as a modern day Burgess,Philby or McLean either.
  18. WTF ? Actually I think it shows beyond reasonable doubt that I can't read Hungarian. Translation anybody ?
  19. Some England youth international from West Ham,dubbed the 'new Booby Moore',or possibly the 'best new Bobby Moore since Rio,or that Tompkins kid' seen at a fiiling station near Basingstoke. He'll sign by teatime I'm told.
  20. Good summary of the two of them.
  21. Fair point and an important distinction. So,who is it,and what is the rumour ?
  22. Is this a former/currently injured centre half,as this rumour was posted a week or so ago ?
  23. Half time (entertainment) floor show in corporate.Possibly a lesbo-combo with one of the blonds towards the back in photo one. Or perhaps they were "guests" of David Pleat.
  24. Don't you mean Wright ?
