Apart from us, the Dutch are probably the biggest bottlers in my lifetime. Obviously, they won ‘88, but they were far and away the best side in ‘74 and somehow contrived to lose the final and ‘78 they were as good as the Argies. Fully deserved, Czech’s have been really good. But, when are players going to realise that sometimes it’s better to let a goal scoring opportunity happen, than stop it and get sent off.

We used to laugh at the South Americans & Latin Europeans for their biased and ridiculous nationalist commentary, but now we’re just as bad. You can’t listen or watch without pundits personal support becoming obvious. Both domestically & internationally, and it’s unprofessional.
