Nothing I’ve seen from Boris the past 2 years indicates that he’s a libertarian at all. The Boris who said he’d eat his ID card if asked to produce it, is a million miles away from the one we see nowadays. If the behavioural scientists present him with models that show restricting freedoms will increase vaccine take up to near 100%, you can’t seriously believe libertarian ideology will stop him. It’s funny isn’t it. When he started this line of the thread by calling anti Vaxers bell ends, he was clearly referring to white people like Piers Morgan & Matt Le Tiss. Regarding refereeing, there’s an interesting article in The Mail from Clattenberg. He claims that UEFA have specifically told referees not to blow for cheap free kicks, the thinking being that a high % of goals are scored from them and therefore they have a massive impact on the game. As a result the free kick count is the lowest since the 80’s when they started gathering statistics. You might think this would translate into the domestic game, but maybe not. The second lowest count was the last Euros, and nothing subsequently changed domestically. Watching referees wave play on when someone falls down like they’ve been hit by a truck is a breath of fresh air.

What people are saying is (in their opinion) he wouldn’t have played for Southampton if Ronald Koeman wasn’t manager. It’s not that difficult to understand. The fact he went off and played for another club doesn’t make a blind bit of difference to that.

Why don’t you just admit you didn’t realise or forgot that Koeman had “high profile” jobs outside of Holland prior to us. The discussion wasn’t about his record, but the profile of the clubs he managed. If you think Southampton is a “major job”, then his jobs in the Portuguese & Spanish leagues were, regardless of where they finished. You’ve changed the terms of the debate because you made a chump of yourself.

Why would it be a”bad thing”. There is an off button. I wouldn’t think a leftie news channel was a “bad thing” I just wouldn’t watch it. The only “bad thing” is forcing people to pay for something they don’t want to watch.

I haven’t really watched. I saw a bit of Dan Wooton but his voice does my fucking head in. I barely ever watch live tv and certainly hardly watch the news anymore, so there’s an opportunity to win me over. If they ask people questions, listen to the answer and then subsequently ask the next question based on the discussion, then I may watch regularly. A right wing host asking gotcha questions and imposing their opinions on the guest is just the same as a leftie doing it.
