I’ve always been too pessimistic
-
Some people were right about England and some of you were wrong. Fry was one in the right camp, so now the insults start. It’s there for all to see
-
Really? 😂
-
Are you for real. The thread is full of people slagging Southgate, Kane, Sterling, Rice, Phillips off. Full of people “supporting” Scotland or having no interest in England. Luckily for them (and you) the mods keep deleting posts that quote them.
-
That’s why Southgate left him on. That’s good management Some of the posts on here about Southgate & Kane need to be filed as classic gold.
-
That wasn’t what you said. Your exact words were “everyone’s vote should mean something”. Please explain how a vote for a losing candidate means something under PR, but not under FPTP
-
3-1 piece of piss
-
It was Roy Keane who called Arsenal a team of Son in laws. Blokes you’d like your daughter to marry, but wouldn’t want next to you in the trenches. Remind you of anyone?
-
I’ll be giving it large down the boozer tonight. Telling my cronies how we’re as big as Liverpool, Utd, Chelsea. When they laugh at me I’ll just give it the old , “how do historical records have any bearing on the 2021/22 season”. That’ll shut them up,
-
What on earth are you on about. Unless you have one representative per voter there will always be voters whose vote doesn’t translate into their candidate winning whatever system you use. Every vote means something, not just the ones that the winning candidate gets. If I’m the only bloke voting for Fred dustbin lid Jones, how does my vote mean something under PR and not under FPTP

This is rubbish. I don’t dislike him, I just don’t rate him particularly highly as a footballer . Why we have to keep getting this playground “you don’t like him” pony is beyond me. It’s nothing to do with him ducking out of the way of a shot, I didn’t rate him before that. It was just an example of where your biblical obsession with statistics doesn’t show the true picture. Last time I looked there wasn’t a statistic of which midfielders duck. Probably because it shouldn’t happen. As for this manly footballer pony, I don’t expect you to trawl through my posts as that’ll bore you to death, but you’ll find fulsome praise for players like Tadic and Le Tiss, Lallana. Hardly tough tackling “manly” figures.
-
Well in that case you’ve got absolutely no chance of forming a Government.
-
Neither can I. The only hope we’ve got is they punch each other out and final is one game too many.
-
But what about the stats?
-
Nope. Had you meant that, you’d have written “we will fall apart without him”.
-
Let’s hope Italy & Spain have a long gruelling, end to end, injury ravaged semi final.
-
Armstrong won’t make the 11, dear god.
-
That’s all well and good. Please give us some examples of when it’s all fallen apart without him. That was what you claim.
-
As good as the Italians were, their rolling about and cheating at the end left a bad taste. Typical, they’ve been like it for years. I hope the Spanish beat them AET on Tuesday .
-
We were a lot worse without Ings
-
Course it is. Some people can’t see beyond “stats”. I have t got a clue if the blokes any good, I’ll watch him play and then decide. I know it’s old fashioned, but that’s the best way.
-
Stick to the point chump. What rules are not being followed? You don’t have to use the app provided you provide your contact details. You either don’t know or you're taking the mick, which is it?
-
When exactly have we fell apart without him? Our worst performances have been with him.
-
Agreed. If only he’d played in the 9-0, the Spurs, Leeds, Newcastle & West Brom debacles. If only he’d been available for the pathetic semi final surrender. It all falls apart when he’s missing….
-
Lets just hope Southgate isn’t as dopey as some of our posters and sets us up properly. I reckon we’ve half a chance, unless we try and outplay them.
