The worst thing that can happen is some 20 somethings mother or grandmother will die, one of the 200 or so support staff may die, a neighbour or agent. Some people may decide that if footballs back on, social distancing isn’t as important as before, potentially spreading the thing. Those are the worst that will happen, I’d say the best thing that will happen is a couple of 20 somethings get a cough. One thing for sure, if something does happen you’ll be first in the queue criticising Boris for allowing it to happen. One or two people may well die as a result of football matches restating , the question is whether stopping all football is proportionate to the risk. One or two people probably die driving to games each season, yet we don’t ban driving. People have died fly helicopters to & from games, including a friend of mines brother many years ago. Yet we still allow it. Society needs to get back to normal ASAP, otherwise the damage will be felt for years to come. Playing football again will send out a signal we’re going to have to live with this thing. The Government have scared people half to death and boxed themselves into a corner. We can’t go on like this until a vaccine is found, and we can’t stop playing football until then either. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

You said he’d taken us into administration twice. For a bloke calling Boris a buffoon & attaching the line “ignorance is bliss” to Leavers, you do seem rather unfamiliar with the truth. Following on from your “traffic only down by 10% “ lie earlier, you do seem to have a bit of form in the pony department. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

What will be different in Sept than in June? If the it’s agreed it’s not safe for players in June, what will make it any safer in Sept. The “stay at home” brigade will have a logical and powerful argument in Aug that football accepted it was unsafe in June, so it’s unsafe now. I don’t particularly want a restart, I think it’ll be a farce. But I’m concerned that by accepting they can’t, it will be a longer wait for the new season. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

The problem with cancelling this season is the precedent it will set. If you don’t finish this season, what will be different about next season? Will there be a cure, a vaccine? Maybe less people will be dying, but less people will be dying because of lockdown, not because the virus has disappeared. And what happens if a spike occurs in Nov/Dec and as many people are dying as now. Logic dictates you’ll have to stop again. If the Government or football itself decide it’s unsafe for fit healthy men to play football this season, what will be different about next season. If you accept it’s unsafe in June it’s going to be harder to argue it’s safe in Sept if nothing has fundamentally changed. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I travel to work everyday & it takes me 40 mins to get the 6.5 miles from one side of Poole to just outside Bournemouth, It’s taking me under half that now. To claim traffic has only dropped by 10% is complete and utter pony. Till about 9am there’s barely a car on the road. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Not for £19.99 a season I won’t. And for that reason, I’m out. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

What on Earth are you waffling on about. Every single PM in my life time has had supporters, officials, & allies that weren’t elected. Some of these unelected people, actually made decisions and even got paid for it..... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I’ve come to the conclusion that without football there’s basically a load of pony on in the evenings. The new chase thing, where weirdos and odd balls try and beat the chasers, pony. An itv police thing in Amsterdam where they all talk English, complete rubbish, & this from the channel that gave us Frost. Gino, Gordon & some French halfwit, lamentable. Netflix, the occasional gem, but mainly over rated tripe. Amazon, see above. BBC, apart from 4. Rubbish. BBC 1 is right on tripe. 2 is cooking shows & travel shiete . Gold, Drama, Alibi, like Groundhog Day, same stuff over & over. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Take the **** all you like, but there’s now proof a bloke in France had it in December. The positive sample was taken a week before China first reported the outbreak to the WHO. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Interesting, that makes more sense. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

The Bally one stands out for me. Unforgettable goals, 4-5 at Norwich after 2 horrendous home results over Easter. Last day wasn’t as dramatic as others, but it was a great run in. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Perhaps they should have named the show “From 2-11” instead of top 10 then. I’m looking forward to The top 10 bands show on BBC4, in which they start by naming The Beatles as number 1, but don’t include them in the top 10. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I had the weirdest cough I’ve ever had in the middle of Feb. Had a horrible persistent dry cough that I just couldn’t shake off. I even missed the Burnley game, not because I felt rough but because I didn’t think it right to be constantly coughing on the train. I also missed my mates 50th for the same reason. It was horrendous, even hurt my back coughing so much, but had no other symptoms of anything. Didn’t even cough up any shiete either, totally dry cough for about 3 weeks, then it went away. My snap dragon is convinced I had it, I’m not. Mainly because nobody I drank with, live with, or work with, got the same. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Good to see Soggy hasn’t pegged it. Watched some pony last night. Snap dragon was watching Hustlers. Normally I turn over when she’s watching her rubbish, but thought I’d pretend not to be interested but look at some babes. Looked promising, a load of strippers started ripping off blokes. Fit birds shaking it all about, what’s not to like. But what a load of old pony, I didn’t have to pretend to her I thought it was rubbish, it was rubbish. Horrendous, avoid.... It was a load of old pony anyway. Shearer is the best player from outside the top 6. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

What, and you think the Country is function now? The country will have to accept deaths to start function again, just as it accepts deaths to keep it moving. It’s no more abhorrent that football is played again than hairdressers or coffee shops reopening. Nobody will blame some bird giving blow drys or serving coffee if the numbers spike, why should footballers be different. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

If the maximum speed limit on any road was 20mph, we’d probably cut deaths caused by car accidents to a handful a year. By your logic society is saying over 1,700 deaths is ok because you can get to places quicker. People die doing things that they strictly don’t need to. Flying, mountaineering, sailing, driving. How many people extra are going to die because football is being played behind closed doors? The whole things been blown out of all proportion, and I speak as someone who lost a loved one to this virus. If football never restarted nobody would ever die because of it. Nobody would suffer a heart attack in the ground, nobody would have an accident travelling to the match, nobody will drink too much watching Super Sunday in the pub, nobody will bang their head fighting rival supporters. There isn’t any safe activity whilst this virus is around, unless you want people to stay indoors permanently, you’re saying a few deaths are ok. Why can you stand that, but not football being played? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Not at all. But I do believe bowing to political pressure from the Chinese over this issue is pretty low. We need total transparency at this particular time. Luckily, a lot of MEP’s agree, no surprise Little Europeans defend it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Allegations that our wonderful partners in The EU delayed & then changed their report into the virus after pressure from the Chinese . Obviously, not true. It’s all “confusion”. The European Union’s foreign policy chief said there was some confusion as there was a confidential one intended for diplomats, and a second for the public that was released on Friday. “There are two different publications. Don’t make the mistake that the second one is the first one with a little bit of change” He said. Oh ok, thanks for clearing that up. It wasn’t changed, they just wanted to keep the critical one secret. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Worst Performance by an Otherwise Competent Player
Lord Duckhunter replied to Lighthouse's topic in The Saints
Lovren was a pretty good player for us, his performance at White Hart Lane that season was abysmal. A clear indication of things to come. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
The thing is, SARS should have been a wake up call for these ****ing idiots. You can bet your bottom dollar the next virus will come out of China again, I bet they don’t close these markets, stop eating or doing whatever they do with these animals. Imagine the lefties outrage if this had come from Chlorinated chicken, yet we mustn’t call it the Chinese virus. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Some journo , I think it may have been that arse Henry Winter but I can’t remember, was on radio. He claimed he’d spoken to a lot of premier league clubs & the general consensus was they’ll be about 200-250 people involved staging a closed doors game. This excludes any police or stewards needed outside to control any numpties that turn up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
