Theresa May and the death of the Tory Party
Lord Duckhunter replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
God you really are simple. Hunt- no chance Gove/Hunt- no chance Gove- Slight chance. In what way on earth is teaming up with a remainer going to get Gove enough leave votes? The pinkos stop Boris campaign looks to have been as successful as their Brexit policy. Still by winning the MP’s vote & then smashing Hunt in the members vote, he’s got a huge mandate. Contrast that with Steptoe who wasn’t wanted by a vast majority of the PLP. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Complete pony. Every single remainer or anti no deal member will vote for Gove anyway. The key to his success is winning over the no deal people or people who haven’t forgiven him for knifing Boris last time. How on earth does forming an alliance with Theresa Mk2 help that. An alliance with Raab, or even Baker might make sense, this does not. You form alliances to reach out into a part of the party you can’t win with. Not the part of the party whose support you already have. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Surely you aren’t suggesting joint leaders, green style. I presume you mean that one of Gove or Hunt will run against Boris promising the other will be his deputy. Which one do you suggest stands aside. Hunt can’t beat Boris with or without Gove. The only way you don’t get Boris is if Gove outshines him comprehensively during the hustings. He doesn’t need Hunt to do that, he’ll get the “Remain “ part of the membership with or without Hunt. Having Hunt tethered to him will only make it harder to win over Boris voters, not easier. Like it or not, the vast majority of members support Boris’ position, to win them over the last thing Gove needs is a bloody remainer holding him back Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

There’s a big decision for Hammond, Rudd, Gauke, Clarke and other Remainiacs. Do they back Hunt & watch Boris annihilate him with the members, or do they swing behind Gove and hope he exposes Boris during the hustings. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Gove overtakes Hunt. Getting tasty now. Gove V Boris is the right choice and one that should of been put to the members prior to May. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Complete and utter nonsense. It’s a transition period which we pay for. Instead of posting this nonsense “10-15 times” I suggest your time would be better spent looking up other FTA’s that are in place around the world. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

And his own MP’s. You think this Brexit stuff is a mess, just watch Corbyn trying to get half his crazy **** past The Civil Service, Parliament and as you say The Lords. Never underestimate the establishment’s ability to deliver exactly what they want. They’ve got a taste of over riding the masses, they’ll not give that up easily. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Nigel is more of a Tory than half the wets in the parliamentary party. The sooner the sweaties **** off the better. NI is a throwback to the last century. Ireland should (and will eventually)be united. Personally I’m not a Unionist, but the establishment should be grateful that Nigel is. The biggest unfairness in politics at the moment is the inbuilt anti English bias of our institutions. The West Lothian question wasn’t solved, it was ignored. One day English resentment will build and someone like Nigel will lead the movement for change. After Brexit it’ll be the next big storm hitting the pinko establishment. They can’t understand Brexit, they won’t understand English nationalism either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Gove is head and shoulders above the rest in terms of substance, ideas & delivery of those ideas. In a zombie May Government he’s the only minister that had vision and clear thinking. He’s not everyone’s cup of tea but he’d drive forward his vision, whereas some of the other soft arses would let the civil service manage them. He’s obviously on the wrong wing of the party for me, but he’s sound. We need more like him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

IF he was a lib/dem. He is a ****ing lib/dem. What makes me laugh is pinkos who love him, Wollaston, Allen and others as if they’re somehow different from other politicians. In fact they’re far far worse. They’ve basically rocked up in the Tory party because they’ve more chance of being elected as Tories than Lib Dem’s. If the Lib Dem’s & Labour were the 2 major parties they’d be in one of them. They haven’t got a principled bone in their bodies. Any party that increases their chances of being elected they’ll join. Cameron has got a lot to answer for, encouraging these chances. Luckily, via deselections the members will drain the swamp, but it’ll take a while..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Great article about the great pink Hope from the Spectator, sums him up perfectly. “For Woke Britain, Stewart has now firmly established himself as the least-nasty member of the nasty party. That could help him pick up votes from Labour and Lib Dems in a general election, but it can’t help fill the enormous void at the heart of his pitch for the leadership. He is offering nothing other than the faulty deal which Theresa May negotiated with the EU last November and which has already been comprehensively defeated in the Commons three times – once by a record margin. Rory says he doesn’t know where to start when listing his weaknesses, but I suggest that he puts at the top a failure of imagination and limited reasoning powers to think through a problem. He is all presentation and little substance – which makes him even more an archetypal politician than the opponents from which he is trying to distinguish himself.” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Course he would you clown. Just as Tony Benn did when he lost the last referendum. Krankie and the SNP sweaties are still campaigning for independence, is that somehow not democratic. If you can’t see the difference between campaigning for what you believe in after the result has been enacted and campaigning for the result not to be enacted, then there’s something seriously wrong with you. Exactly. I’m hoping our next leader brings in laws that severely restrict postal voting. Only registered disabled, people with a doctors note or can prove they’re on holiday on Election Day should be eligible. Proof of ID is a brainer prior to voting, yet labour oppose this, we all know why. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

“Fraud or not”. What a damning indictment of the lefties on here. They just don’t care about democracy, provided our corrupt postal voting system provides the “correct” result. For the avoidance of any doubt, had The Tory party worked with a convicted vote fixer, had supporters claiming they burnt 1k of Labour votes, had people taking photos of their X (presumably to receive payment) I wouldn’t be so blasé about it. Our electoral system is facing massive problems with corruption and it doesn’t help when Labour complains about every measure designed to combat it. Surely voter fraud should be above party politics. Certain communities need to be called to account and fraud routed out, but our lily livered pinko political class are too scared to do so. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Stewart Jackson tweeted that the postal vote was 79%, everyone knew then the game was over. There’s clearly widespread abuse & corruption, but as it favours the established parties nobody in power cares. Here’s the 18 authorities the electoral commission identified as most at risk of fraud. You’ll never guess which ethnic group are most prevalent, and which party they vote for. I doubt anyone is shocked. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Spot on. Did you hear his responses when asked what he’d do if the “citizens jury” recommend leaving without a withdrawal agreement. Pure comedy, as he waffled on. You’re right the fact lefties approve of him is reason enough to chuck him out the party. I’m not a big fan of Boris’ he’s borderline pinko for me, but we’ve no other option. Dom is the purest Conservative in the contest and Gove has an impressive record of actually getting things done and despite being a bit wet in some aspects, has a far better grasp of political thinking than Boris. But Boris is a vote winner out of the bubble. There’s going to be a election to get a proper Brexit and he’s got the best chance of winning that. That’s why he’s got my vote at the moment. Boris’ camp will be absolutely delighted if it’s him and Rory the Ego in the final 2. IF & it’s a big if, something happens to Boris prior to the final and he somehow manages to stay off the members ballot, it still won’t be Stewart. You can rely on the members to ensure that won’t happen. The blokes a lib/dem and we’ve had enough of them infiltrated the party. He needs to join Allen & Wollaston and **** off. Some people transcend the generations. You’re not”stuck in the past” if you enjoy Shakespeare or Lennon & McCartney. If modern politicians had one tenth of Maggie’s foresight & guts the country wouldn’t be in such a mess. Instead of achievers like her, Norman Tebbitt & Nigel Lawson, we’ve no marks like Rory Look at me Stewart & Chucka 3 parties. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
