This time last year the performance at Norwich was far far worse than today. For 70 mins we were OK. Lukaku then started to get it into feet & bully our centre halves. Swap him over with JRod and we'd have won. Personally I didn't think it was too bad until that point. Fonte & Yoshida clearly at fault for 2 and 3 goals. 2 points Our last away performance was the best of the season. You'll only know at the end of the season whether our rotation policy works. If we're going into March /April with the squad still fresh, and not too many stress injuries , then it clearly has worked. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anyone who thinks that without mane , Vic & Pelle we are as good a squad as last season is deluded. Puel didn't sell them, so it's not really his fault. Even the blind can see Puel has been given a worse set of players than Ron had. To be in a similar position after half the season is a pretty decent achievement. So if somebody posts that "we've gone backwards" you can't use the fact that were higher in the league than this time last season to disprove that. Perhaps you should tell the "we've gone backwards" brigade ,to wait until the end of the season , rather than the people pointing out the inconvenient fact that we haven't if you use league placing or cup run as a measure. While you're at it also post proof that he "blamed his predecessor". I've never read or heard him blame Cortese for anything. Is it really his fault that players leave, he's tasked with running the club on a SUSTAINABLE level,to be self sufficient. If you're comparing this season to last, then surely Koemans abject league cup defeat against Liverpool (and you could throw in Sheff Utd as well ) should be compared with Puels win at Arsenal . Clearly Liverpool are far better this season and this is a 2 legged affair as opposed to a one off home game. It will be a miracle if we win, but that's nothing to do with Puel or his "failings". It's probably the toughest draw we could have got. Both MP & Koeman wasted good opportunities in the cups. I watched plenty of shiete last season, Norwich away, this time last season was woeful. EL was as bad as this season without beating Milan & Prague . Liverpool in the cup , WBA away, Watford away. I went to 8 away games before seeing us win (at Villa). So there was plenty of shocking performances , it hasn't just started this season. And Koeman had Mane & Vic . Personally I think Koeman & Poch would struggle with these players. It's the weakest squad for years and the fact he's got us into a semi final and higher in the table than a year ago, whilst playing more games , says to me that he's doing a pretty decent job.
