He looks like a bit of a steady Eddie to me . Never really makes a save that has you thinking " how did he get to that " but never really let's one in that should be saved . He saves ones he should save and lets in the ones that he shouldn't . On the whole I'm pretty positive about him , comfortable with his feet , experienced and seems to give the back 4 confidence . Would be happy for him to sign permanent as him and FF is a pretty decent one & two

By " most people watching " I assume you mean you, unless youve conducted some sort of poll. Howard Webb said technically it was a second yellow , but said the ref was " managing" the game and wanted to keep 11v11 & Graham Poll wrote in his article that it was a mistake and Lucas should have gone . I'll take those ex refs views over " most people watching". My point is that is not for refs to" manage " the game ,but to apply the rules. Its not for them to decide whether a game stays 11v11. Swearing at the ref is another example. If the rules are that it carries a red card punishment , then a red card should be shown. If it means games up up being spoilt because its 9 v 8 that's the players fault , not the ref. Refs are not applying the rules consistently , you'll never stamp out mistakes as they're only human, but they are not helping themselves .

The problem with referees isn't the lack of videos but of consistency . More and more they are being encouraged to " manage " the game , rather than follow the rules . Once they start " managing " the game , you end up with unfairness and inconsistent decisions . Lucas committed a yellow card offence against Chelsea which should have resulted in a sending off . Tough decision to make , which maybe changes the whole game, so clattenburg " manages " the game and keeps 11v11. Much easier for the same ref to send Palaces Gayle off for 2 yellows or for Sundays ref to send Victor off with minutes left . Funny how in the interests of keeping 11v11 the big clubs seem to be the ones benefitting .

Don't quite know what happened there , at 2-0 they were gone , finished , yet we were so poor second half that we gave them a sniff . Just glad it was boscombe , because a half decent side would have punished us ( as Leicester did). . I thought Cedric was our best player second half, defended well .

I live and work amongst them . The "two team " ones are giving it large , but the two I know who have only , and do only support Boscombe , are bricking it. One of my oldest mates has followed them through thin & thin and I'm travelling up with him tomorrow , he's said he'll be happy with anything under 3-0 . He reckons they're shocking defensively

I would be OK if this " second booking " unwritten rule was applied across the board , but its not . ****enburg sent Dwight Gayle off for 2 bookable offenses , but lets Lucas off for his second one . I guess one plays for palace and one for a big club .

Are there many straight chicks in Brighton , it could be quite a good place to go pulling if there are . The more gay men there are surely there will be quite a lot of desperate hetro women . I guess the only problem maybe managing their expectations as most gay men I've met are pretty good looking and incredibly in tune with what women want. In fact , they'd be great bird magnets if they were into that sort of thing . If chicks are used to living in the Gay ghetto of Brighton , they may expect me to comment on their hair or spend time on myself getting ready .

Does Gaston get credit for the second goal, was it some sort of " assist" , I'm sure the Gastonettes can find it somehow. Perhaps the relief of seeing the genius leave the pitch , meant the villa players switched off and allowed Davis to find Tadic to set up Pelle. A bit like a batsmen seeing off the quicks and then getting out to the part time bowler after losing concentration . Personally , I'd rather Ron got the credit, wanting to put the game to bed he decided he'd had enough of Gaston mincing around and put some proper players on .

He gave it away playing simple passes, his through balls went straight to the keeper and he was too weak on a couple if occasions. One time in front of the Kingsland he completely missed controlled it , giving very simple possession back to them. He got nowhere near creating goal scoring opportunities. Although he did play a 8 yard pass to Yoshida , a pass that every single player on the park could play, but will no doubt go down in Gaston folklore as a perfectly weighted , inch perfect one that put the ball on a plate for Yoshida to tap home.

And don't forget , he hasn't had a full season , he's young and in a foreign country, he clearly has talent, he played well in the villa game , and he turned the game against Liverpool

Hopefully the Gastonettes will STFU now . He was average at best , and that's being kind to him. I just wish I had a £ for everytime he gave the ball away , cause that would've paid for a few noggins afterwards . Thankfully we've only got a few more months of him nicking a living off us .

Rubbish , he won a header that Liverpool defended poorly . Point me in the direction of one neutral or one report that claimed he " turned the game " . It's not like he did what Long did for Ireland or against Leicester last season . He won one poorly defended header for gods sake . It's becoming the bestest greatest header ever won in Saints history , the Gastinettes are wetting themselves over that header and then the famous Bestie like run ( that wasn't even shown on MoTD) . The only clever thing about him is the way he's managed to nick a 50k a week living .

So had Long and JRod been fit , he'd have been on the bench . Like he was when they were fit? . Clown

Don't you think that most of the meat heads are just part of the herd . That on their own at work or socially they would just get on with it and not bat an eyelid . I'm not saying it's right and it is upsetting for the targets of their abuse , but football does tend to bring out the worst in people .

I suspect most team mates will have suspected anyway and the rest won't give a shiny shiete . We had a bloke at work who made a big fuss about coming out , and made a big announcement . He then got upset because most of us didn't care and the rest thought he batted for the other side anyway . It was the non event of the year , that then became an event because of his reaction to the fact that nobody thought it was a big deal .

When was the last time we finished above them ?

I thought we played better in the 3-1 game . One thing I remember about the 6-3 was a discussion in the pub beforehand , where we all agreed that we couldn't have picked a worse time to play utd as they'd lost by 5 at Newcastle the week before . Never in a million years did we think we'd top that .

I hope it's not JWP ,otherwise I could be the first to suffer a ban . I moan and shout about him not getting stuck in and poncing about like a big fairy , every time he plays .

I would hazard a guess that we'd have finished in exactly the same place but with a few more million in the bank .
