  1. Should add that this is only if the stress isn't on the first syllable.
  2. Are you questioning the facts or the grammar? Using "an" before the letter h isn't grammatically incorrect, both variants are considered valid.
  3. Isn't that two wins over Millwall this season? With our home record, surely most wins we get away mean another double? Can somebody who can be bothered check how many doubles we've got so far and how many we can still get? Dunno if anyone knows the most we've had.
  4. As a manager there'd be Alan Ball, as mentioned in his wiki page, ahem:
  5. Has anyone ever done this to great success? A few have gone both ways and been OK, including some of our favourite players, but has anyone actually managed to be hero at both clubs?
  6. He made 150k last year and he lives in a student house-share? Something there doesn't quite sound right.
  7. Great, football snobbery. What a tit.
  8. My favourite oddity of this game is that you can be in a fight, the opponent is just swinging his sword or whatever for the killer blow, and you can quickly eat a few bowls of soup, a beef stew, twenty apples and a few pieces of salmon before he makes contact, then you're all better again.
  9. Wasn't Hawkeye invented in Romsey? Up at Roke Manor? I spent a lot of my childhood roaming the grounds of that place.
  10. Turkish is living the dream, as long as the dream is to spend half your life on internet forums making thousands of posts that are mostly just petty, sniping and spiteful.
  11. I believe Junction 9 works with this sort of thing and has been known to help out saints fans at mates rates.
  12. Sorry mate, that's younger than teenage and pretty sick imo.
  13. The sad thing is, if it lives within its means, the west just doesn't have the resources to police the world any more. Over the next hundred years I wouldn't be surprised if the west is forced to take a less active role and the international policies of other countries start to dominate world politics more. You never know though, the west might keep living on credit to inflate its world position for years to come. Is the west the Portsmouth of world politics? Living on credit to keep in the big leagues? What do I mean by "the west"? Frankly, I have no idea, but but the future world will probably be led by the Sino-Norwegian Empire.
  14. No, it's not a threesome. Ha! You fail! Loooserrr!
  15. Feeling a bit ashamed to be in my forties and buying a game like this. haven't touched anything like this since the nineties, but wifey travels lots on business and I was looking for a way to waste long evenings after the kids had gone to bed. So I got this for my laptop. I hated it at first, having never played any modern 3d games (except a bit of a go on GTA SA). I ran into walls or round in circles, while my companion did all the fighting. Never had any crashes and it all works bug free, which is nice. I've got into it now and it's pretty good and way too addictive. They're a bit clever, because it's all very easy to do, but they manage to make it seem like you're achieving something skilful. I discovered you can get your smithing up to 100 in a couple of hours and make any kind of armour or weapon, also levelling up a lot as you do it. It's nice that there's so much to do and you can do it all at whatever order, time and speed you feel like. I can't believe I'm writing this nerdy nonsense.
  16. A rowing machine. Took up tons of space and bust my knee the second time I used it. Also the computer was no good and I could row for ages without it really measuring any progress. I sold it for a profit and bought a cross-trainer for a few hundred quid, which is far better and I use for at least an hour a day without ****ing up my knees.
  17. The odd thing with the Beatles is that you imagine they were around for ages to release all of those songs, but they were only really big for about 7 years. Compare that to any other band with a fraction of the output. How long were Oasis around for example? My major epiphany in life was probably realising that I didn't believe in God. Sounds silly, but it really did just occur to me one day like a bolt from the blue and everything became very clear at that moment.
  18. Makes me laugh that delldays and turkish, who always go on at saintandy666 about being too young to comment, have both posted on this thread, despite neither being old enough to have a ****ing clue. No self-awareness or sense of irony at all.
  19. Yes, I think we should definitely get somebody to loan us somebody who can ably replace the best player in the league. I'm fairly certain that most Premiership teams have got someone of Lallana's quality who they don't really need in their squad. I'm also very concerned that Puncheon didn't take the opportunity in 46 minutes yesterday to show he can play as well as the best player in the league. We should never play him again and get somebody else to do the job as he's clearly not capable. And if that person that we get in on loan can't show that they are as good as Lallana in 90 minutes, we should send them back to their parent club and get someone else in of Lallana's quality from somewhere else. Sometimes I wonder what the **** Adkins and Cortese are doing if they can't do something as simple as this.
  20. The food is very bland, but I have been there quite often when quick food was needed. Just a plain burger though and never fries, there's not too much unhealthy about a lump of beef in a low quality bun. What I don't get though is how, in this day and age, they can still not manage to make passable coffee. Seriously, you can get good coffee everywhere nowadays, how are McDonalds still managing to get it wrong?
  21. Do we do it just to annoy them? They never seem that bothered. I'd be bothered if they called England Sussex or something. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holland
  22. That's a staggering comment. You have to balance the importance of playing at the top with the importance of paying bills?
  23. " Or we all accept that Pompey is a lower league club and drastically reduce the outgoings on wages."
  24. Can't believe how much money people spend on this sort of stuff. my wife's got one, but that's from her job. a lot of people seem to use them mainly for trivial stuff. Most of my students have them, seriously, how can either 17 -18 year olds have this much disposable income, or their parents see it as necessary to pay for them? I know people over here are a bit more flush in comparison to the UK and other countries, but I bet it's a similar story there.
