Fair comment. The issue is about Sovereignty, not finances. That's where the argument will be won or lost. Most people have no concept of what a billion actually is. They just know it is big, but debating whether it is 278billion or 314billion or 76million is meaningless to the majority.

Where would Toby be if Poch wasn't at Spurs?

Bosnia have just formally applied. And Turkey are lining themselves up.

I don't think this debate is going to be won or lost on dodgy statistics.

Remind us again what the odds were on an outright Tory win last May?

With Brooking being mooted to succeed Dyke I don't see any real change coming any time soon.

Nah that wasn't them. That was a different Portsmouth Football Club, one that was run by crooks and ne'er do wells.

You do realise that most people don't get a kick out of reading about what goes on between dirty old men and schoolgirls? -
What is the amount that is avoided in tax? Or did you mean evaded?

Well you certainly wouldn't catch me signing a contract with all those nasty conditions in it.

I dunno, do you? Maybe this will help 7,000 redundancies over 5 years in an organisation the size of the NHS is a drop in the ocean. You do know what a redundancy is, don't you? You can't make a person redundant, it's the position that becomes redundant.

All fair points, but the reality is that neither the funding nor the staffing levels have declined at all, never mind significantly, since the Tories came to power. They have both increased. If labour really does want to have a go at the Tories, pick a proper soft target. There are plenty of them out there.

Is that true?

Well that's hardly a reliable source is it? It's not like you've actually read it on Facebook or anything.

I wonder if they've dipped a toe in the "Let's ask the bank for a loan" pool yet?

I used to work for them forty odd years ago.

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES

The point about this case isn't that a man raped a women. This was a gang of a dozen serial rapists who repeatedly raped a child. All of them were ethnically south Asian and all Muslim. That is relevant. I can think of at least two similar recent instances of large gangs of south Asian Muslim men operating in Britain serially raping young women and children. To pretend it isn't happening is just plain stupid, and not a suitable subject to use to score cheap points on a forum. Take a deep breath and try to put yourself in those little girl's shoes. Some of you are fathers ffs. -
Not really. An example I noticed from last month when I was actually paying attention was their news headline that China's economic growth for 2015 was the worst for 25 years. That's hardly fairly balanced is it?

My experience of premium brand "non-apple at half the price" products is that they don't break so you don't need to take them back to see how good the customer service is.

The difference between football and other sports is that most footballers think it is OK to cheat. And are happy to keep on cheating until somebody stops them.
