  1. And Dunk has just clearly handled then scored and VAR says its OK. WTF?!
  2. If it makes anyone feel better, Burnley got rogered hard by the ref today.
  3. No they didn't. The ref awarded it on the field.
  4. I think a point would be a decent result. They outplayed Liverpool recently and our spine and bench looks pretty Championship today.
  5. We bought Salisu because we needed an upgrade at centre back. Sticking Stephens in would be completely retrograde, if Salisu is fit enough.
  6. Epstein should have hung in there. He'd be free now.
  7. Disappointing not to see Chilworth, Wellow or Lyndhurst on the area round-up.
  8. People who begin answers with, "Listen,....". Blair seemed to start this and now loads of people do it. Rude, arrogant, aloof, slightly sinister, cuntish way to converse. So, people who begin sentences with, "So", as well. Jelly-brained morons.
  9. I'd start Redmond upfront and let Walcott continue in midfield. Walcott is finding great pockets of space in his current role and it seems a shame to lose that as well as losing Ings. Give Redmond a crack up front and if it's not working we've still got options on the bench. Also, Armstrong back in for Djenepo.
  10. Are factless Allen’s books written as well as his articles?
  11. I'm reading that the UK paid more than double the EU, per-dose of the Pfizer vaccine and, had we joined the EU's purchase scheme, we would have saved half a billion pounds. Also, I see lots of EU countries imposing unilateral border restrictions. How can that be?! We need to leave to take back control of our borders, don't we?
  12. Not a handball because it came up off his leg? Seems a bit perverse. It's his fault it hit his arm.
  13. Their shout under the Bednarek challenge in the first half was as much of a pen as our second half shout. We got what we deserved. We hardly created any real pressure on the goal all match. The one time Romeu decides not to foul someone going past him.... Still a decent enough performance. Ings is not playing at his max so let's hope he gets back to it soon.
  14. That's been coming. Piss poor defending.
  15. Strange half. Great for 25 minutes but quite sloppy for the rest of it. Armstrong needs to be more careful on the ball. It's interesting how he was swapped sides with Walcott tonight but I'm not sure the left side suits Armstrong much. We are also treading a fine line between confidence and taking liberties on the ball at CB / CM. I think we need a second goal. Ings looks a little off 100% as well. I'd be tempted to put Redmond on before long and push Walcott up front. Adams excellent again. On another night they would have got that penalty shout so we've rode our luck a bit.
  16. Maybe his daughter can take over from Kenzie when she starts to go downhill.
  17. A team of Forster, Valery, Salisu, Stephens, Vokins, Diallo, Slattery, Djenepo, Redmond, Nlundulu and Long/Obafemi ought to be plenty good enough to see off a poor League One team. It's not like they are all shrinking violets or kids - half of them are full internationals.
  18. Is this before or after Deutsche Bank collapses?
  19. Just seen another replay of the pen that was given and, actually, it was correct. I thought it hit someone else but there was a deflection off Kamara's arm first, and it was stuck out, so it's a good call.
  20. That shouldn't have been a pen. His arm was in front of his body and didn't make his silhouette any bigger. Lemina had a good game.
  21. Is Turkish really this stupid or is he just trying too hard?
  22. Yeah, he's doing it because of his respect for the justice system and the rule of law. 🤪🤪🤪

Good job our public discourse is measured, intelligent and thorough. Oh.

Yes, of course. Why would you not?
  25. Hardly. He's an adult, albeit a young one, being asked to train and play football whilst having more money than he could ever spend and being given every assistance imaginable to find a place to live, get a phone, travel etc... This is clearly not "settling in". Clearly something is up. Aside from a very serious illness/prognosis I can't think what it could be though. Even if it's some sort of family tragedy or ongoing mental illness I can't imagine being kept out of competitive matches, even youth matches, would help for such a long period. I agree that there's no point seeking to pry into personal affairs but it is odd and it's quite normal for football fans to wonder what the problem is with their big summer signing and to discuss it on a forum. Especially when the coach has previously said he was hoping to have the player playing after an international break which has been and gone. Whatever is up, I hope he gets better soon.
