Yeah, he was excellent. Clinical finish, good outlet, great first touch and hold-up, carried it forward with purpose and "won" some fouls to relieve the pressure. We need to give him a run in that role. Just a shame if Ings is now injured as in the first half some of our link up play was actually pretty decent.

Hojbjerg did give the ball away a lot today but he's one of the only players with a decent mentality and I think we do need his fight. Look how many of our players were on their knees, head in hands when Watford scored. It's pathetic. There was plenty of time to get the winner but they just send Watford the message that the game is now theirs for the taking. We've managed to assemble a right group of fannies.

That was literally the only contribution he made and that was a mis-hit shot that ballooned off his standing foot. We were much better when Ings was on. Austin wouldn't get a game in a top Championship side.

Can't be bothered to talk much about the match. Same as usual. So here are some ratings: McCarthy - 7 Cedric - 6 Hoedt - 6 Yoshida - 7 Bertrand - 6 Hojbjerg - 6 Lemina - 8 Armstrong - 7 Redmond - 7 Gabbi - 8 (man of the match) Ings - 7 Austin - 5 JWP - 5 Obafemi - insufficient minutes

Giving Austin a positive for caring? **** me. He was dire. Complete passenger.

It's utterly outrageous if anyone gets in criminal trouble because of this (the bonfire video, not the fire). The invidious creep of thought-policing and the desire to platform-everything is a far greater threat to all of us than some puerile half-wit prank. There is a Procrustean attack on privacy of thought and privacy of conduct underway, often well-intentioned but ineffably stupid, which is really no good.

The pay is **** so it attracts mainly: - people for whom money is largely no object; and / or - people who are unlikely to succeed at anything else and are a bit odd.

I know my fate. One day my name will be associated with the memory of something tremendous — a crisis without equal on earth, the most profound collision of conscience, a decision that was conjured up against everything that had been believed, demanded, hallowed so far. I am no man, I am dynamite.

You can overlook the role a few of us (ubermensch) have played if it makes you feel better.

My sources are telling me that Reed is on his way.

What about Wee Ross? If he's staying, can we get him a suit that fits, at least.

It looks like Trump's spokeswoman - is it even an intern? Either way, shocking bare-faced lie. Although that's normal for Trump.

But if Keith Sidebottom had been in our youth team he'd be hailed as the next Paul Scholes. Give Sidebottom a chance FFS!

P.s. I hadn't seen any pictures of him before his debut at The Dell. I thought he was a massive black bloke. But that was actually Ken Monkou with a haircut.

Why did we sign him straight from the set of a 70s porn film?

Me too. It's ridiculous but has obvious appeal to the "open minded".

P.s thanks for the heads-ups on this thread, which I will check out.

Seeing as we’re talking football podcasts, if you’ve never listened to them then it’s worth checking out The Magic Sponge. Not on any more but some of the episodes are quality. Jimmy Bullard is a regular with a couple of minor comedians. The had guests including Ray Parlour, Perry Groves, Lee Hendrie, Razor Ruddock, Stewart Castledine, Jeff Winter, Barry Fry and others. It’s usually quite funny.

The point is, they play 442 but in a way that makes sense. We don't. So going like-for-like seems a bit silly. This would actually be a game where 352 makes sense.
