  1. Or maybe the whole report is a crock of ****e.
  2. Maybe it was £3m p.a. for a pre-agreed permanent deal to take effect at the end of the loan. £3m p.a. after tax would be about £110k gross a week. So if that's what he wanted, then he wanted to be our best paid player (by some distance).
  3. So not only do you have the financial risk of something going wrong but it could also **** up a family member's "dream move"? Is it really worth getting involved? Is the family member absolutely adamant that the land should stay within the family at the risk of up-risking their own dream move? And if you plan on selling half of it anyway ASAP then how does that square with their wishes? I would pay some money for the expert advice ASAP if you're determined in principle to go ahead!
  4. Maybe he said, "yeah, £2m is fine" and then when he turned up he said, "actually, I want £3m after tax". Who knows?
  5. We're three matches into a run of 5 games where we should have been looking at at least 9 points and we've got three points, having lost two matches to poor teams. If we don't beat West Ham or Sunderland or we pick up any more key injuries I'm going to start having a sneaky peak at the relegation odds.... I don't think we'll be bad enough to get relegated but could be worth a "softener" just in case!
  6. I don't think too many people are "sharpening pitchforks". On the whole, he has done excellently for us. This time he has clearly not. That's what people are talking about. And he said Fonte wouldn't leave without a replacement. Anyone suggesting that the replacement was supposed to be Stephens or Gardos is a trenchant buffoon. And, yes, he should have known that Redmond, Tadic and Long would miss lots of chances because that's what they have done all their careers. The same way that most people also knew Austin and Rodriguez would be unreliable and the same way that everyone knew we would score ****-all goals between our central midfielders as well. On the whole, Les Reed, great job. This season, poor (other than signing Boufal who I think will turn out to be a brilliant signing).
  7. I agree, apart from the bit about having more respect for Puel if he kicked-off publically. That would be unprofessional and I've got far less respect for people who can't deal with their grievances privately.
  8. I wonder how much Taylor is paid? Utterly pointless signing, by the looks of it!
  9. Will there be dildos? #bants #lads #football #fannybatter
  10. Sources are telling me this one is close.
  11. Ouch! Desperate stuff. 2/10 at best. "Itk" equivalent of sticking Caulker upfront for the last ten minutes.
  12. "Ball or aerosol?" "No, it's for my arm pits."
  13. I agree completely. But some people's wrong apportionment of criticism to Gardos needs correcting!
  14. Sorry: me highlighting Stephens' errors proves your point that it was all Gardos' fault? Interesting.
  15. Goodness me, no. There is no point signing a striker who is not as good as the ones we already have.
  16. That's bull****. First goal Stephens suddenly stepped up strangely, allowing the pass to go where he had just stood. Second goal, he let Welbeck go. Third goal he gave the ball away.
  17. Stephens having a mare. At least Gardos seems OK.
  18. Saw the Arsenal team and got enthused. Then saw our team......
  19. I think there are two issues here: 1) what are the rules? 2) are the rules enforced at the turnstile? My response was in relation to item 1 only. The ST purchase rights are for the ST holder. That's really simple and is why I am surprised if the club was vague. In terms of their response it ought to be very black and white. In relation to number 2, however, I very much doubt that your daughter will have a problem getting in with your old man's ticket!
  20. They shouldn't have been vague, it should have been a straightforward "no". Your dad's ST entitles him to purchase a ticket for himself, not for your daughter.
  21. Fry, don't shoot the messenger! I'm as surprised as you that all known football matches decided in this way have been wrongly reported but that seems to the the case. I checked the rules. "Counted twice". 2-1 defeat tomorrow is a 3-2 win on aggregate. 5-4 defeat tomorrow is a 9-5 aggregate win!
  22. 3-2 win under the rules. Fact.
