  1. I can also endorse The Oak Inn at Bank near Lyndhurst. Proper forest feel and some great food. Not cheap but then few good things are.
  2. Cortese may have dismissed the bids. As a consequence we may have had little money to spend on incoming transfers without borrowing. In turn, I doubt we would have done any better next season as the squad (in terms of genuine quality) would have still been too small. If we accept one or two bids but sign four or five good players we may well do better next season. I say, chill out.
  3. This is probably your best ever post. Well done!
  4. Cole would be welcome from me if he's happy coming off the bench and doesn't expect silly money.
  5. You're a proper idiot. But you're funny.
  6. Good place for a party. Recommended.

Ridiculous to mention Wanyama in this context. He is improving all the time, is only 22 (I think) and is already very good. Easily worth what we paid for him.
  8. Every time he would have a run in the team he seems to get injured (like since Jay Rod got injured). I like him as a player and he has generally contributed well this season when he has played but I'm starting to think we might struggle to ever rely on him.
  9. Lallana wasn't that great last season. Puncheon was better. Is Puncheon worth 25 million? If we sell Lallana but sign a couple of decent attackers and a decent goalie and MP stays there is no reason why we can't do just as well next season.
  10. I still think Cole is better than Baines. Baines is easily beaten.
  11. Even if they take you to court (v unlikely) and win (v unlikely) you would just have to pay the charge within 28 days of the judgment. It is EXTREMELY unlikely you would have to pay anything over and above the initial amount claimed and you would only get an adverse credit history if the judgment remained unpaid after 28 days. Caving in just supports this sham industry. Ps. A court claim is validly served on a last known address so moving house and sticking your head in the sand is probably not the best action.
  12. He's a proper muff magnet that lad. Fair play.
  13. Try not to be a self-important buffoon who adds little value and gets in the way of real professionals doing their job. I don't know you at all but that is my tip.
  14. I find his comments quite reassuring. I think he's happy to see out his contract but also happy to discuss a longer one if the club show a desire to push on. Good, no?
  15. I think there is definitely a tendency to call black players "lazy" more readily. Puncheon and Guly both got called that yet both were extremely hard working on the pitch.
  16. Giaccherini? He hasn't been amazing this year but clearly has talent and works hard and has a year in England under his belt. I think he would suit us quite well. Poyet doesn't seem to rate him. Shouldn't cost too much. Worth a bid?
  17. Why do so many people think it is a good idea to wear a long tie with formal wear? It looks infantile. Bow tie, cummerbund or waistcoat. Our players ought to manage it. They earn enough to go to a tailor and get a good dinner suit that will elevate them to real elegance. Instead they turn up looking like gormless sixth formers at a prom trying to look "Hollywood". This is something the academy needs to work on.
  18. Hopefully our squad have all sobered up by the weekend.. .. Would be good to give United a sound beating but 3pm on a Sunday, players looking to avoid injury and nothing to play for should be enough to ensure it's all a bit flat.
  19. Some great memories in that video and some very nice goals. It reminds me what a great laugh the last few years were for Saints. I hope it doesn't get stale now we're in the Prem. Good luck Guly!
  20. Indeed. If we're talking sitters then Lambert at Sunderland.... Gallagher has started three league games and looked very promising. Two of those three were against Arsenal and Everton so not exactly poor teams. He will be a very useful player. Put it this way, he looked much better than Shaw did in his first couple of senior games.
  21. I completely agree. Apart from having an incisive forward, the rest of our team is really as good as virtually anyone in the league. I hope the board are serious about pushing on as I genuinely don't see any reason why we couldn't finish above Spurs, Everton, Man U and even Arse next season. If Liverpool lose Suarez we could finish above them too. I might be getting carried away but we control games so well. Every single match this season has been competitive.
  22. Lol. Bitter? His influence was overwhelmingly positive for the football club and anyone who can't see that is blinded by bigotry
  23. Hypo, so we're all clear, can you lust the disgusting things where death is the best outcome (as per your earlier comment) so that we have some idea where the line is? Thanks mate. You're a legend.
  24. Your posts are very odd and generally premised on the overriding need to look hard or "scene". You are either joking (which isn't funny) or have some sort of deep-seated insecurity. If the former, please stop. If the later, just chill out, you're making life much harder for yourself than it needs to be.
  25. The transfer "debt" is payments not yet due. It's not borrowed money. I think the "difficult" comments were more about the difference between the reality and what Cortese had initially budgeted for (ie. they've found out he has spent 15million more than expected). I don't think they were saying the business is financially vulnerable.
