I agree. I will not go to another match if Lambert is picked.

It appears Sir Rickie is not playing to his usually high standards
benjii replied to Rasiak-9-'s topic in The Saints
Agreed. He's simply not very good anymore. It's like playing with ten men half the time. Start Gallagher whenever fit and run the rule over him for the rest of the season. -
My squad: Hart Foster Forster Walker Clyne Cahill Jagielka Smalling ?? Baines Shaw Cork Carrick Gerrard Wilshere Lallana Chamberlain Townsend Welbeck Rooney Sturridge Lambert Carroll
-
I don't care who they pick, we are better than them and will hopefully want it more.

You win **** all apart from " most predictable, monotonous, un self-aware, onanist" as per every other competition. For what it's worth my entries are Bujumbura, Burundi and Kigali, Rwanda, which I dare say the board is slightly less acquainted with than a commercial airline FFS.

You're right actually. Apart from missing two golden chances, giving the ball away continuously and killing a lot of attacks he was quite good. The fact is, his performance levels are now consistently inadequate. He still scores some great goals and produces some excellent passes and touches (not last night though) but I would say he has far more poor games now than any of our other regular starters. In away games and against the better teams he often struggles badly. He would probably do better in a less dynamic and more rigid attacking side but that's irrelevant really. He's a great player to have in the squad but we need to replace him in the starting eleven if we're going to push on next season.

We were excellent. Desperately need an alternative to Lambert though, he had a mare. I would start Gallagher on Saturday.

Beautiful performance so far but Lambert currently the weak link again.

http://m.thelawyer.com/news/practice-areas/litigation-news/largest-ever-sdt-fines-upheld-at-high-court/3016029.article It's a good job Pompey were being run by upstanding people at the time these "largest ever" Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal fines relate to (Fuglers, not to be forgotten as an important member of the supporting cast) otherwise there could be some sort of suggestion that PFC were trying to engage in dubious behaviour and are a bunch of cheating, thieving, ****s.

I would pick: Borutch Chambers. Font. Yoshida. Clyne Wanyama. Davis JWP. Guly. Rodriguez Gallagher bench: KD, Jos, Targett, Morgan, lallana, Lambert, Isgrove

Is it part of the BBC charter that a double-decker bus must be used as a measuring rod?

Agreed. It might have helped us establish our game*better in the first half. They won a lot of second ball in the middle of the park. Box's biggest strength is gobbling those up. Second half, they sat back more and arguably Cork would've been more use but I think we needed to establish a stronger platform from the start yesterday. Was also a shame Gallagher wasn't available as Lambert had a dreadful second half
-
I would make some changes for Tuesday so we are fresher for Sat. Maybe start with Clyne (on left) Chambers on right to give Shaw a break. JWP for Lallana. Gallagher for Lambert.

I have reported parking "debt collectors" to the OFT and Trading Standards before. They are interested in malpractice and there's OFT guidance on the conduct of debt collectors. I threatened to sue one for harassment ( I still might if I get the time). They sent me a really stupid letter in response. As others have said, they send out mass- produced letters in the hope that people are intimidated into paying up. A debt collector has no legal status over and above any other person. It's a self- appointed moniker. It's ****ish work for ****s.

Not true. The " who was driving" question is irrelevant. The amount claimed is almost certainly unenforceable regardless.
-
Lambert still has excellent games but he provides little impact against the better teams. Good squad player but we need better.
-
I actually agree - Barry and Carrick are the only two who compete with Cork really. No doubt Gerrard will play that position though and will constantly play stupid passes and give the ball away.
-
I'm with Art. Give Gallagher a run out but stick big Kenny Monkou up front and pump it forwards for the last ten minutes.

Lol. Thanks so much. #ITK

i think we always have targets, it's just a question of whether we decide to buy them or not in any given window. We are pretty certain to finish 9th or thereabouts so it was probably felt that we should give the squad the chance to develop until the summer as there was no point investing a load of cash to finish 9th more emphatically! With Ossie-gate, we have maybe accelerated on a target on the basis that it's now worth it overall to spend some money. i think we will be looking for a loan for Osvaldo with a permanent transfer obliged in the summer.
-
MP sounded pretty confident of a signing which makes me think it's a long-term target that we had lined up rather than an opportunistic swap or someone being hawked around late in the window.
-
Sadly, it's hardly a problem with the way he's been playing lately. We looked so much better night with a centre forward who can actually receive an offensive pass without killing the attack.

Does anyone think the Syrian champions from a couple of years ago will be crowing when the civil war ends? Perhaps the winners of the Rwandan Cup in 1993 look back fondly on the "great" year of the genocide when their adversaries were too busy hacking/ burning/being hacked/ being burnt to pit up a decent challenge? Apparently FC Hiroshima didn't lose many matches in 1945/45 season and are rightly proud of the fact. None of these losers have anything on mighty Portsmouth though who can look back with the utmost pride on seven years of pain, genocide and obliteration and know that they are, without a doubt, the world's most bestest trophy caretakers.

Some of the negativity on here is amazing. Personally, I am excited to see him tonight. Much more excited than I would be by the prospect of watching Lambert lumbering around and getting tackled or passing to a defender, as per usual whenever we play a decent team.
-
If we sell him for 18million Euro he would have turned out to be a pretty good signing TBF. Played in excellent results at Anfield and Old Trafford, scored important goals against Palace and City, sold for a profit, contributed to team bonding by giving the players a cause to unite around. Fair play.
