I would start with Rickie on the bench. He was excellent against Newcastle but they gave him loads of space. I think he has more chance of making a big impact if we bring him on later in this one. Back five picks itself. Morgan and Cork are no brainers. In front of them I'd have Davis, Lallana and JWP with Jay Rod upfront. Lambert, Ramirez, Gallagher, Guly, Hooiveld, Reed and Gazza on the bench

Decent enough figures in my opinion. We came a long way quickly and needed to invest in a few quality players. The circa 20mill we need to pay next season should be largely if not completely offset by additional revenue. Wages are at a manageable level. Also encouraging to hear that further Liebherr funds have been coming in. Overall, I bet those figures are healthier than a lot of clubs.

Interestingly a transcript has recently been published of a case in the Bristol County Court where Parking Eye took someone to court. As far as I know it's very rare that these companies ever bother doing that but it seems as though this one does. Anyway, the judge rips them a new one and awards 45 quid to cover the defendant's husband taking a half day off work to babysit during the hearing plus mileage and parking costs for attending court to the defendant. The transcript is actually quite funny as the judge is a little whacky and clearly thinks the whole thing is a little contemptible. Rodriguez did well, both in the central role and when he moved deeper in the second half. Lambert was really good when he came on. I wish we used him off the bench more often as he can make a greater impact that way. Clyne was excellent too. There's no way Walker or Johnson are better than him. Shame Roy has ignored him. It was almost too easy in the first quarter of an hour and we coasted through the rest of the first half to be honest. Shaw was a little sloppy with the ball going forwards (excellent in the second half though) and we didn't get the ball to Adam or Gaston in enough dangerous positions. Boruc looked like he had a hangover or something but thankfully Norwich were so poor it didn't matter.
