  1. I hope so and he rolls around by the corner flag again.
  2. Thanks y'all. I'm actually going to be in central London on the day (meetings in the City, what, what) but the Clappers tip is a good one for after.
  3. Most don't carry on for months whilst clearly insolvent and continuing to spend. And that's without even touching on the lack of sanction for the obvious criminality that was going on behind the scenes.
  4. Hello everyone. London Bridge is not working next week so the usual train to South Bermondsey and back takes a long time and involves interchanges. After the match it'll take an hour to get to Waterloo from there. Wondering if anyone has walked to Surrey Quays tube before after a match there? That would seem to be the quickest way of getting home but I don't want to scuff my Gazelles, break my Sergio Tacchini zip top, or lose my Acquascutum scarf. Will I be safe?
  5. If you price season tickets too low in reliance on Sky money, what are you going to do if you get relegated, increase prices? Like someone else said, it's fine if you're Dortmund/Munich/Barcelona but it's too risky if you're Saints. If people want prices to drop they need to stop buying tickets. At the end of the day, from a business perspective, if you're selling out 80%+ of the ground then prices, by definition, are not "too" high. I wish it were cheaper but it would need some sort of central governance to achieve. Can't expect clubs like Saints to take the risk alone.

    Taider <3

    Yay, I love Deppo.
  7. Sounds funny, but an interested Osvaldo would have won us that IMO. Not sure Lovren would have prevented either of their goals and maybe their centre back wouldn't have got done by Tadic for the first! That said, Lovren will be the biggest miss over the season.

  9. That's what I would pick as well. Hopefully Gaston is available too for the bench.

  13. Maybe we're looking for a right back who could do a job at CB. No idea what sort of player Byram is?
  14. The girl. "Keep it on".
  15. As an aside, I nailed a girl in the yellow away kit in Cardiff after the cup final. True story.

  17. Sorry, do people seriously think Schneiderlin is going to play?

    Shane Long

Defence is still the worry. Rest of the squad is fine (assuming Long and Garcia are signing). It's just a question of whether Koeman gets them playing effectively. We don't really have good wingers so I would hope we find a system that doesn't rely on having good wingers! I've mentioned it a couple of times but I think a diamond formation would play to our strengths.
  19. He's excellent and his passing is much better than given credit for on here. He takes so much pressure off the centre backs.

Forster Clyne - - Font - - New CB (Yoshi) - Bertrand -------------------Wanyama (Cork)----------- ----------Morgan/JWP---- Taider/Davis -----------------------Tadic (Ramirez)-------- --------------Pelle(SG)------Rodriguez(Long) To my mind, that's a very decent team provided we sign a good CB. Lots of competition everywhere apart from defence. I think we will have more options off the bench this season, at least.

    Shane Long

My thoughts really. He's not bad at all, offers something different to the other players in the squad and reinforces an area where we have no depth.
  22. How long has he worked with you?
  23. I would set up like this to begin with: ---------------FF------------------- Clyne--Fonte--Yoshida/new--Bertrand --------------Wanyama------------- ---------Cork-----------Davis--------- ---------------Tadic----------------- ---------------Ramirez--------------- --------------------Pelle------------- Central mid is our strongest area so let's play a diamond and pack it. I know we won't get behind Liverpool like that unless Clyne gets forward but I think it would give us more stability than the 4-3-3 and should help cut off the supply to Liverpool's front three. I also have more faith in Gaston working a goal from nothing than in Isgrove/Mayuka doing anything effective. If we can frustrate them for a bit and have them pushing forward we can swap Gaston or Tadic for a packer player and look to spring counters. Davis and Cork to run their arses off knowing we have Taider and JWP on the bench.
  24. I can see Newcastle, Stoke and Swansea making ground on us and possibly overtaking us. Would I rather be West Ham, Villa, West Brom, Sunderland or one of the promoted clubs? Probably not and I expect us to add a couple more quality players. It seems clear we were prepared to drop around 15 mill on Rojo. So I reckon 10-12th.

    Taïder

I thought Wanyama was our best player but Taider looks like an excellent all-around midfielder. I think we should play with a diamond as midfield is clearly our strongest area.
