  1. I think this is one of my favourite forum posts. Alpine expressing concern about "the manner of our support".'kin 'ell! PMSL
  2. It's rubbish but not because it isn't stripes or has some gold on it. It's just a rubbish piece of design. The Bristol City one looks rubbish. The Swansea one looks rubbish. It's rubbish. Could I please urge anyone who thinks it's rubbish not to buy it FFS?
  3. Sounds like a low-grade B&B.

Much prefer close-up magic than staged productions. Don't really find them entertaining. That is obviously a fake arm. What else could it be? What's entertaining about that?
  5. I've seen a lot of Celtic fans point to the Barca match as evidence of Wanyam's awesomeness saying things like, "he bossed one of the best teams ever". Well, here are the stats from the 2-1 home win: [h=3]Stats[/h] [h=5]Celtic[/h][h=5]Barcelona[/h][h=5]Possession[/h] 34% 66% [h=5]Goal attempts[/h] 3 25 [h=5]On target[/h] 3 14 [h=5]Off target[/h] 0 11 [h=5]Corners[/h] 2 7 [h=5]Fouls[/h] 9 9 [h=5]Offsides[/h] 4 Now, don't get me wrond, that was a great result for Celtic but, let's face it, they got dicked and a combination of goalkeeping and less-than-usually clinical finishing along with some cinical finishing of their own won them that match. As Window Cleaner says, even if they had been the better team it would not prove much. One should always do well to remeber that Vincent Pericard once played for Juventus.
  6. He was an important part of staying up. Loved the goal against West Ham(?)) when he headed the ball and post. But, ultimately, he was a bit rubbish. In fact, that game in general was class. If I remember correctly Berkovic scored a cracker and Doddsy did a cynical professional foul on Hartson and took a red card for the time. Of course, what is quite likely is that my brain has merged together a bunch of incidents from different matches and none of that happened concurrently. What was the match where Scott Hiley did the best ever goal line clearance? He was running backwards towards his own goal and headed a ball off the line. In front of the Milton, I think. Might have been the same match. Dunno.

  8. You could try not being a *****.
  9. Thanks Matt-chew. I was good spiritedly trying to save my employer the cost of a phone call. Anyhow, I have called Zebra and this scenario is apparently normal and your response is correct! :) It takes the club's systems a few days to update and there is no email confirmation. Just a postal one after a few days. I am "in that number". Lovely stuff.
  10. Hello, Can someone who used the Zebra option online confirm what sort of confirmation they received? I completed what seemed to be all the steps (I did my online signature after inputting the SMS code etc...) but all I got was a screen saying it was complete. I haven't received an email from the club or Zebra since. Is that normal? Cheers!
  11. Lallana doesn't deserve to be in the starting XI based on last year's performances so it hardly makes sense for him to be the captain. The captain needs to be an automatic pick. Based on last season that permits: Boruc, Clyne, Morgan, Cork, Lambert, Rodriguez (and Shaw but he is hardly going to be made captain as an apparently injury-prone 17 year old). I would say it should be Morgan, unless any of the new signings are a better choice. Of those players listed, I doubt Cork, Lambert and Rodriguez will be automatic picks next season.
  12. Smalling would be a great signing. I think he is an underrated player and the fact that he can play right back to a decent level kills two birds with one stone as we have no cover there unless Chambers is deemed capable (before anyone mentions Yoshi, he is gash at full back). It would leave us with some serious competition at centre back, even if Fonte and Jos leave: Yoshi, Lovren, Forren, Smalling. I can't see it happening though, for some reason.
  13. The other day, all the water in my house was actually sucked up my taps!!!!
  14. I know you need to be careful with Youtube videos but he does genuinely look to be a league above any of our current players. ----------Morgan-------Banega--------- ------------------Ramirez--------------- Would comfortably be a top 4 midfield IMO but the overall effect of the team would depend on who is in front of them. We would probably need to upgrade Lambert and Lallana to get the most out of them.
  15. He's got a hell of a strike on him with both feet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bLuT8dUbLg&feature=youtube_gdata_player
  16. Yeah, Turks, every time I read one of your half-a-dozen types of post it reminds me what a funny and well liked contributor you are. If only there were more like you and fewer dim-witted, monotonous, bores.
  17. One billion seats at 50p each.
  18. Usual Patred attention-seeking-tart behaviour.
  19. Carlton Palmer was quality for us! Speedie and Dixon were proper ****e though. Also, as others said, Mark Hughes was a disgrace.
  20. Strange "column"... more a weird stream of consciousness. Still, Matty is a legend.
  21. I don't know.
  22. My thoughts too. He saw the Tweet and thought it would be funny, or one of his mates saw the Tweet and stitched him up. Either way, not worth getting too excited about.
  23. Actually a counter-productive attitute from those clubs IMO unless they have aspirations of developing Category One status academies themselves. They would be better off trying to work with us so that those good players which remain local to them due to the satellite arrangements are sent to them on loan etc.. If the centre closes the best players will still join the best academies, they will just have to uproot from the area. Those smaller clubs aren't going to start producing Bale's and flogging them for £10million if we shut the centre down; they will continue to lose them as 15/16 year olds for minimal compensation.
