I was driving down the M3 once and over the crest of one of the hills (probably the Twyford Down cutting) on a very sunny evening. It was just as the sun was about to set, you know, when everything goes a bit hazy and colours tend to merge into one. Anyway, I had just passed a sort of whitish strange looking car at about 85mph when I looked in the mirror and saw it was actually a marked Panda car! Doh! What a knnoooob. But they didn't do anything at all so it was fine.

Because the death penalty is final and offers no hope or chance of repreive to those wrongly convicted. You will now say, "I mean only in cases where there's no doubt, no doubt at all", to which I will say, "the burden of proof for all criminal convictions is 'beyond reasonable doubt'; ie, no reasonable person can doubt the accused carried out the act; ie. there is no doubt. If you want to formulate a different test then go ahead but you will never remove the possibility of grey areas and miscarriages of justice."

? It's not a time travelling dildo but it's the best we've got.
-
Indeed. Let's sign Ormerod, Higginbotham and Oakley as well. It might make no sense but at least they played for Saints once.
-
Exactly. The only caveat would be if we had been asking Stephens to play a deeper role he is not usually used to, which is a possibility I suppose.
-
Can't see anyone asking for wholesale changes. What I would like to see is us sign a CM who offers us something different to what we already have and is a good player. I'm not convinced at all that Stephens offers us anything new.

Only if Fabregas has his heart set on Barcelona.
-
Ahh, I see. So this tweet is basically the equivalent of a post on here. In that case, I expect the news to be Owen and Jancker double-signing.
-
Who the feck is Connor Armstrong?
-
Ahh, well if someone tweeted it.... TBH, it does sound like a signing from that earlier Sibley tweet about "getting it ready". If it were ST prices or kit related I would've thought it would be ready in plenty of time before "go live".
-
Why do you keep saying that?
-
Apparently it's about Adkins. He has signed a 4.5 year extension - that's the news.

Apparently Adkins signed a 4.5 year extension - that is the news.

Or we keep him and get some really good players in anyway. That is obviously better.
-
Birds can get tits out when we score.
-
I think when we score we should all jump up on our seats, drop our pants, flop out our dongs and windmill our man meat like uber-spazs.
-
Wrong thread?
-
No doubt he would still be good but I imagine he is on uber bucks and if we sign a forward it should be a dynamic, pacy forward. We have enough good creative players already. I would rather have Owen, Ba, Anelka or Drogba TBH.
-
I might get an ST next season and if I do that area would probably be my first choice. Behind the goal in the Northam is too common. The Kingsland/Northam corner is decent but you can't really hear or see the away fans which I think detracts from the spectacle a bit. Anywhere nearer the Chapel is a no go.

They ripped our defence including Perry and Thomas apart once they brought on their illegally signed highly-paid subs, TBF. For the first 75 minutes we outplayed them.
-
TBF, they don't have that many "average" players. They have under-achieved woefully as most of their first team are good Premier League players who will be in demand.
-
And maybe Bournemouth too. They are proper hard.

It's weird. I'm not trying to snipe at anyone but: 1) ST will be on sale sometime between now and the start of August. If you have the money to buy it now, why the impatience? If you don't have the money to buy it now then surely the later the sale window opens the better. 2) You know roughly what it will cost. It will cost between 100% and 120% of whatever it cost this year. You don't need the price to be published in order to budget, more or less, for it.

Good knowledge Chez - yes, I think that is what I was thinking of.
-
Someone had an owner/player once. Well, I think someone let the owner on the pitch for the last few minutes of the last game.
