Butterfield has been much the better of the two this season and is easily good enough to do a decent job next season (he is better than most of the right backs that played for us last time we were in the Championship). Richardson is quick and strong and a useful member of the squad but seems to make far more mistakes.

Whether they go up or not will have zero bearing on whether they sell CMS - he is going anyway.

I agree - it's such a shame he's damaged his relationship with the club over the last couple of years and made himself look a bit of a tool.

How is goal difference not "our own merit"? I take your point that some daylight is a nice sort of feeling but frankly, a GD as superior as ours suggests we are much better than 3 points does IMO.

The only reason we are "hated" is because we have, over the last two years (and will continue to do next year on occasions), been playing against largely tinpot opposition with deluded, miserable, downtrodden fans used to seeing other tinpot clubs turn up to play dire, uninspiring football in front of dire, meagre and uninspiring away followings for the sole purpose of perpetuating the humdrum and ambitionless existence of their dire, meagre, uninspiring, humdrum, downtrodden tinpot club. As we climb back up we will move into the "largely indifferent" category and possibly progress into the "well liked club with good fans" category as we move into the Prem. If we start achieving real success in the Prem we will probably move towards being unliked again. HTH.

I understand that previously the club ran a direct debit scheme with no additional cost. This is clearly bonkers and no wonder it was stopped. A lot of clubs offer a scheme through some sort of third party to whom you will pay extra. However, if the club doesn't do this then there is nothing whatsoever stopping any but the most hard-of-thinking fans from arranging their own "installment" plan (credit card, small loan, saving up through the previous season etc...)
