  1. Antonio Cassano. Complete headcase but utterly brilliant when he can be bothered.
  2. Predictably, the overblown and irresponsible hype has been far worse than the reality.
  3. His defending was pretty ropey at times but he was only 17 and it was obvious that wouldn't be his forte as his career progressed.
  4. Exactly. A full-back has no right to consistently be man of the match.
  5. Have some of that you thieving ****.
  6. Osbourne just pointing out that, even with the cuts, Government spending will increase over the next four years due to the interest repayment obligations on our debt.
  7. Fair play. Big society all round. Repsonsibility, duty, pragmatism and consideration.
  8. Defence spending should be savaged. We should contribute forces to NATO, UN etc in the same proportion as similarly sized Euro countries and apart from that we should mind our own business.
  9. Ahh, sorry, I didn't pick up on the Cameron dig. No doubt the private sector will pick up the people that it thinks have something to offer. I'm no economist either but evidently whether there is a net saving or not depends on a huge number of factors such as: mean time of unemployment, average wage of dismissed employees, savings on pension contributions, savings as a result of streamlined operations etc etc, blah, blah, blah. What would be a complete crime would be failing to address state sponsored inefficiencies and gravy trains at this time of economic difficulty.
  10. FFS - seriously, it's turning a tap on dearie. I don't agree with the attitude that if he couldn't get someone to do it as a favour he would let the tenant wait until Friday - that is indeed reprehensible and a dereliction of responsibility - but there is nothing wrong with getting someone who is not a fully paid up professional to turn a tap on. EDIT: and it doesn't look as though he was planning on making them wait anyway.
  11. You moral bankrupt, you spawn of the devil, shame on you and your ilk.
  12. Yeah, that's the "****ing mental" option.
  13. I would imagine the private sector has already been hit much harder than that.
  14. Derby and Forest are both much bigger than Leicester IMO. I would say Leicester are about the same size as Pompey, Milwall, Fulham etc...
  15. Has anyone figured out wtf Bridge Too Far is banging on about yet?
  16. Are you ****ing mental or just trying to get a reaction?

    The 90's

How could I forgot Barry Horne's goas!? It curved right, then left, then dipped, then rose a bit, then curled again... Also, that cup match against Spurs. FFS.
  18. If ever there was a case for a Rule 1!!!

    The 90's

This echoes my thoughts exactly. Yes, it was a shame to miss the early 80s successes and yes, we had a couple of rotten seasons, but what a laugh overall. So much fun. Particular stand out memories are Matty against Newcastle, Liverpool at home with the orange ball, 6-3 v Man U, Matty's free-kick against Wimbledon, West Ham (?) at home when Mickey Evans headed the post and ball into the net, Villa fans in fancy dress invading the pitch, £3 pay on the day for league cup games, Marco Almeida(!), Cosimo Sarli(!), Franny, Doddsy, The Ugly Inside (despite the politics it was often pretty funny), The Polygon Hotel, On The March, "One Vision" by Queen, being able to say stuff to the linesman and knowing he could hear you, being able to say stuff to opposition players and knowing they could hear you (eg. David Beckham wedgie-mooney), leaving parents' evening early to go to a match... ahh, great days!
  20. The cuts really aren't as big as the doom-mongers would have you believe. They are around 4%. Public spending has gone up under Labour by many, many times that amount. Have your lives all improved by 60% under Labour? The issue is that spending cuts are usually mitigated by governments by some monetary loosening, however at the moment there is no where to go on the monetary side apart from up. The key therefore will be to ensure that confidence isn't rocked too hard - as everyone knows, expectation is a huge driver of macroeconomics. It would help if all political parties could try to work towards this rather than run purile and infantile arguments about "hitting the bankers instead" etc.
  21. I'd sooner have West Brom in the Prem than Leicester. But I agree with your general point.

What do you mean? I can only see one person in that picture.
  23. Thanks. It just felt right. Of the moment.
  24. It's ok, the man from Frankfurt will be coming with the money soon; once he's picked up his noodles.
  25. Nah, it's still funny. And you still come across as a thoroughly unpleasant **** without a single redeeming fibre to your being.
