  1. While I don't doubt he sees us as a stepping stone, maybe the way the club backed him 100% after that 0-9 has bought us a bit more time with him. Perhaps he'll see out his contract, or even agree to a one year extension (with a get out clause if a giant club comes after him).
  2. Tranmere 3-0 down at home. That's a Tranmere score line that brings back bad memories.
  3. Considering their goal shouldn't have stood, Ings chance cleared off the line, the handball penalty not awarded to us, and the other chances we had, I feel Spurs are fortunate to still be in the competition.
  4. The 27-year-old has been a key player in the Southampton side since arriving from Borussia Mönchengladbach and his performances have caught the eye of Leicester, who The Sun report have made a £15million bid for the Dane.
  5. The start of our demise was getting rid of Pele, Mane and VW without adequate replacements, and the nail in the coffin was sacking Puel. The start (hopefully) of the resurrection was appointing Ralph and getting rid of the clowns.
  6. I'm glad we're not West Ham.
  7. True, in the 2002/03 season Hammers went down with 42 points, but WBA and Sunderland below them had only 29 and 19 points: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2002–03_FA_Premier_League#League_table Still, we can still hope West Ham repeat their feat!
  8. Dalek has been exterminated apparently, so no more reminders that for the last 15 seasons he'd predicted us finishing 17th and the club would be happy with that. Bearsy was always good for a laugh. Long lost in the woods it seems.
  9. 1st half hour we were even more magnificent.
  10. Yes, Wee Ross, Dr. Honeydew and Bunsen have thankfully left, but how about the incompetent scouts who recommended the likes of Elyuseless, Hoedt, etc.?
  11. Having scouts who don't recommend shite players would help too.
  12. Don't you mean "You have to feel sorry for the little shit"?
  13. Yes, one of our underrated managers who was treated shabbily in the end. Sadly in poor health now.
  14. Good read. Cheers.
  15. Extra time. https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/manchester-united-wolves-fa-cup-17575298
  16. Utd 0 Wolves 0 at half time. So far so good. Hopefully no-one breaks the deadlock and the ref has his red card locked and loaded.
  17. Ah, the good old days, when many footballers lived in a cardboard box and headed wet leather balls that weighed more than bowling balls. Sadly, many of them have brain damage now.
  18. And it could've been us™
  19. Why would anyone want sleeping giants coming back into the PL? If they get established again in the top flight it makes clubs our size more vulnerable to relegation. The more minnows in the PL the better, I say. Except the Skates, of course.
  20. They have a decent squad, and more importantly now have a world-class manager. We could finish ahead of them, but I wouldn't touch 150/1 on them getting relegated with a barge pole.
  21. And the catalyst for all of this was perhaps the "blessing in disguise" 0-9.

    Che Adams

Yes. As long as the one and only scoring striker never, ever, gets injured.
  23. Yes we do. I'm getting a a sense of deja vu, all over again. A year ago the club loaned out Cedric and did not bring in a replacement. A gamble which fortunately paid off. Getting rid of Adam's, hoping Ings doesn't get injured and not bringing in a goalscorer, would be an even bigger and stupider gamble.
  24. If I remember correctly wages alone are £80+ million per year. I stand to be corrected.
