  1. Good point, well made. (No pun intended.)
  2. Shame we don't have big Vic available as an extra topping to that sandwich.
  3. A playmaker isn't much use if our only reliable goal scorer gets injured. We need another Austin in January for back up/rotation.
  4. Isn't that a bit like saying the only concern about the Titanic was keeping it afloat?
  5. Hopefully his Chambers cock up will give him second thoughts!
  6. Not to mention not replacing Mane/Pelle/VW, many midweek Euro games which required rotation, and no Gabbi until January (who then got injured after the cup final - in which we played brilliantly and should've won). But as I've said before, some of the Puel-out mob will never admit they were wrong. But at the end of the day (if reports are true) it's the players who forced him out that are to blame.
  7. We need another goal scoring CF in the Austin mold (for rotation, injuries, suspensions). Also a decent back up goalkeeper.
  8. Also no one mentions that after exactly 4 minutes of added time the ref blows, just as we were breaking and were about to have one last chance to win it. Fair enough maybe, except I wonder why the same didn't happen when City scored against us just after the added (5) minutes were up? Rhetorical question of course.
  9. Wasn't bad, but could've been better. For starters Gabbi should've come on for the knackered Austin after 60 minutes. And Redmond (if he really insists on picking him) should at least be on the right, with Tadic on the left. I don't know how long it's going to take MP to figure that out (obviously it's going to be even longer than it took for him to realise that he needed to play Austin for more than a few minutes).
  10. Not yet. Only if he also gets them to a cup final.
  11. If reports of this are true then indeed the players involved are mainly to blame. Just like they allegedly were when Sturrock was forced out. And we all know what happened after that.
  12. I've being saying it for more than a year, having a centre forward who can score goals lifts the whole team. In January we need to bring in another if possible, because Charlie can't be expected to be fit for all the season.
  13. I like it too.
  14. I'd actually go further and say he'd be world class if he could get 40 a season.
  15. I 4-1 would like us to give the skates a good rogering. Are they still in it?
  16. Whatever, it was a clear chance, which was my point. Not a criticism of Austin, he did well to get to it. VVD's was a free header, he should've buried it.
  17. True dat.
  18. I must've watched a different match. Today Romeu was superb, maybe only eclipsed by Bertrand. He was also excellent against City, and is finding his form from last season.
  19. On the top of my head I counted 4 clear cut chances for us, free headers for VVD and Austin, Boufal's clear shot at goal (which he skied), and Bertrand's cross which should've given Austin a tap in. What are Bournemouth's 5 better chances that I missed?
  20. Which one is that, getting to a Cup final and deserving to win, or finishing eighth?
  21. He's still one of the best managers in the world. Well, amongst those who've won sod all. But it's a miracle what he's achieved with Spurs, considering what a weak squad he has to work with. I mean, apart from Kane, Delli, Alderweireld, Rose, Vertonghen, Walker, Dembélé, Dier, Eriksen, Wanyama and Lloris who else do they have?
  22. You seem to have forgotten that Pulis never gets relegated. Oh ...
  23. If it's on penalties against Germany I will definitely throw something large and heavy through my TV screen.
