  1. What you are saying would correctly apply to Puel last season. But this season we have a manager who is doing far worse with a stronger squad and no midweek European matches. Just like Gray and Wigley, it's clear MP is out of his depth.
  2. I think you're missing that we had a crap squad at that time, and he performed a minor miracle to keep us up. He's also someone who won't take any shit from our current crop of prima donnas.
  3. I'd much rather we bring back the other Nige.
  4. I certainly hope that you slapped him in the face with your glove, and demanded a pistol duel at dawn.
  5. Hoedt has already made it clear that he's pissed off. I feel even worse for Yoshida, who's been playing very well, and is a model professional who is being dropped to accommodate a **** with a polar opposite character. Not to mention young Stephens, who's now completely out of the picture.
  6. That's some really serious revisionism there.
  7. 8th and a cup final with a weaker squad and many more matches vs. very possible relegation (and obviously no cup run) with a stronger squad and no extra matches. I'm not gloating. I wish the Puel out mob had been correct, and we had replaced him with someone who could do even better. Anyway, as many have said, Puel is irrelevant now. The main thing is to get the current clowns out asap (MoPe, Black and Watson).
  8. In fairness we do play each real match with an inflatable in goal.
  9. Except last season, when you were totally wrong. And the season before that. And the season before that. And the season before that. And the season before that. And the season before that. And the season before that. And the season before that.
  10. This. But most of the Puel out mob won't admit they were wrong.
  11. You're being unfair on monkeys.
  12. It does actually. Just like Nicholl -> Br*nf**t, Luggy -> Wigley, and Pearson -> Poortvliet did.
  13. True. And that's what forced a decent manager Luggy out. We all know what a disaster that led to. History is repeating itself. He'd keep us up.
  14. ...
  15. If we can sell him for a decent wedge, and use the dosh to get in a striker who can score goals, and a goalkeeper who can make saves, we'll be in good shape.
  16. With our physios' track record a "minor niggle" could mean half a season out.
  17. If we would've bought him in 2013 we would've sold him in 2014.
  18. Our Pelle did pretty well for them.
  19. It's not that arrogant to reject Everton's approach.
  20. I wouldn't say no. We desperately need someone who knows where the back of the net is. He's not been at his best for a while, but maybe worth a short term loan (if no-one better is available).
  21. If he was world class I'd turn a blind eye to all of that. But he's not, so I wholeheartedly agree.
  22. Yep. We're ****ed.
  23. They certainly aren't. They still have to play Sevilla and Moscow, and need a win against one of them to guarantee going through.
