  1. Reminds me of the 2002 WC match between Germany and Saudi Arabia. The Saudi manager was busily making notes and giving instructions. I can't remember if it was the 7th or 8th time the ball flew into the back of their net when he threw down his pen and clipboard.
  2. Decent managers sacked unfairly and replaced by disasters. History repeating itself? Nicholl -> Br*nf**t Luggy -> Wigley Claude -> MP?
  3. And sacked a decent manager and replaced him with a clown.
  4. If Mane, Pelle and Big Vic were in the team I'd agree with you.
  5. So maybe it wasn't Claude's fault last year that we only finished 8th and got to a cup final.
  6. I haven't got around to reading it yet.
  7. No Mason Crane. I guess he's on drink duty again vs. the Windies on Thursday?
  8. The whole of Scotland disagrees with you (strangely enough!)
  9. Along with Walker, Hart and Dire (apart from the goal). Rashford has been ok (apart from screwing for their goal) as has Ryan.
  10. Dier is absolutely dire. Edit: Oops.
  11. If England don't qualify the English (Sweet) F. A. will probably reward him with a contract extension.
  12. It's ridiculous that GD is the first tiebreaker, it should be head to head results between teams on the same number of points. GD is too easily skewed by results against the crap teams (especially when they've been eliminated and can't give a toss in the later matches).
  13. And therein lies the rub.
  14. Abbott was the only bad (awful) player. 40 runs off his 3 overs, and out first ball. He was the difference between the 2 sides.
  15. Not bad, low into the corner. Better than you-know-who.
  16. I'd say there's no doubt about that. Long flourished with Mane next to him, and has gone downhill since he left.
  17. The proverbial group of death.
  18. Yes indeed, we always seem to be at least one window behind in one position.
  19. That sums it up perfectly.
  20. True, but it's early days. They want to hook the subscribers, so I am wary of bait and switch.
  21. Well there is a bit of a difference between fixated with a stroppy CB, versus the possibility of a multi-billionaire buying your bankrupt club. Not that I was in any way involved in yacht-watching, of course.
  22. Why not? They're not Scotland, and they're only 3 points behind the top two teams.
