  1. And you ignore that's when we lost our best player and captain to injury (and our other CB to West Ham).
  2. Top post. Shame it'll fly right over the Puel-out mob's heads though.
  3. I certainly underrate the mistress. But good luck to him, I'm sure he's a very nice person.
  4. Eric Black has left Southampton football club by mutual consent. Nigel Pearson returns to the club as assistant coach to Claude Puel, to sort out player fitness issues, and to give them a good kick up their cry-baby bums when necessary.
  5. Good point. I also heard that if we have a negative goal difference we will have to enter at an earlier qualifying stage (early July I think).
  6. Romeu too. I don't know why he always has to play him. And why he only picks his favourites. And why he keeps rotating as well. Branf**t in!!!!!
  7. Why? Don't you know if Utd win they'll qualify for next season's CL, which means their EL spot goes to the 8th placed team, which may be us?
  8. Behave. Smalling, Carrick, Mata, Rashford, Mkhitaryan, Martial, and yes Rooney would walk into our team. Fellaini, Herrera, Jones and Romero (MotM) would have a good shout too.
  9. You means the ones who sold Mane, VW and Pelle and didn't properly replace them? You're right though, thankfully the Puel-out saps here aren't making the decisions.
  10. He's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't, and damned if he goes in between. Poor old Claude.
  11. But then they'll crucify him, for "only" drawing against a second string team.
  12. Good question. How about Bertrand?
  13. Getting rid of Nicholl and replacing him with Branf**t was also a risky appointment.
  14. If Utd win EL and hence get into the CL I'm guessing Everton may go straight into the group stage (taking Utd's higher EL spot?)
  15. The Puel-out mob remind me of the old Nicholl-out mob. Same mentality, and possibly the same outcome if they were to get their way. Which they won't, thank goodness.
  16. They've just lost, so now cannot make the CL. EL is already assured (bastards), and they've recently been picking up injuries almost as regularly we were. Throw in the upcoming EL final, and it would make sense for JM to send out players in nappies. Which means of course he'll pick his strongest team. Good question.
  17. Just catching up, currently wading through hundreds of posts. This is just like old times. I wonder how many Mickey Mouse Club jokes I'll be able to count? That's an image I need to get out of my head.
  18. And not playing 3 matches per week for months on end, and not having key players injured for most of the season, and not having your captain sold in the window without an adequate replacement, and not inheriting a squad with 3 major players sold and not adequately replaced.
  19. This post is far too sensible for this thread. Ok, carry on everyone.
  20. I'm sure Claude is very relieved that you aren't making the decision.
  21. Tadic's was on target, not a great hit but not bad, and it needed a good save. Long's didn't hit the target, which is unforgivable.
  22. But if Hull win CP are back in it.
  23. This, in a nutshell. Bring in Nasty Nige Pearson to sort out our appalling injury record, have Reed bring in quality players to fill some obvious holes, and then I'm looking forward to Puel orchestrating an exciting campaign next season.
