I don't recall anyone saying admin would be a cakewalk. People like myself were saying it was a necessary evil and that we would have to endure short-term pain for long-term gain. I'm afraid your analogy simply isnt correct. Lowe and cronies were not genuinely interested in selling their shares for a realistic price and thus we could not attract investment. We had to rid Lowe and cronies and we had to rid ourselves of the PLC structure in order to attract investment and present a sensible business model for running a football club in this day and age. We would not have gotten rid of those two things without admin. It was indeed the necessary evil and Barclays knew that well and were prepared to make us resort to that once they had lost faith in Rupert and his business plan. I expect you and I are both frustrrated by the present situation and would like things to move on quickly but that is unrealistic. These things will take time. I will of course be wrong and will admit that if the club is not bought and we are wond up. I pray to god that doesnt happen, as I'm sure you do too. I'm one of them right here Nick. I still maintain that admin was the best way to rid the club of it's daft PLC holding company and the likes of Lowe. In time this will prove to be a major turning point in the fortune of SFC. It will take time. Nick, you are few years' too premature with your "I told you so" type comments. Enjoying my third season in the Championship with Eastleigh whilst we build a new 18,500 seater stadium in time for next season. Whilst in the BSS look for players from the Welsh leagues. When in the BSP and Div 2 look for players from the irish leagues such as Bohemians. Div 1 and Championship look for quality players from national teams' U.19/U.21 squads and from the trial days. Francis Laurent (french forward) and Danny Wright (Forward/AM)(S****horpe?) are must buys/loans for Eastleigh along with Steve Elliott (RB/DC from Lewes??). The thing that pis$es me off however is that any time a decent bid comes in the Chairman takes matters into his own hands and sells. I now go to the player transfer centre and put a very high asking price which means that clubs tend to offer that price. I also offer players to clubs at a higher price than the one accepted by Chairman to at least recoup a little more revenue, which seems to work about 75% of the time. Hopefully I can build a squad to challenge for promotion once the new stadium is built.

I would go as far as suggesting that if we are relegated next weekend after the Burnley game it will speed things up quite considerably. I would also expect some of the potential buyers to fall away to leave serious bidders.

I would agree however with the bit about having sunk so lowe (but I'm sure we are going to see our club rise once again sooner and be stronger once we are taken over). I would also agree that we were sold down the river as a result of the reverse takeover.

Nope, rules are rules. You can't just go around docking points and making up rules and breaking rules because you feel someone deserves it. The PLC is in administration and therefore it would be wholly improper to favour one creditor over another by paying the £50,000 to Bournemouth. Bournemouth will get their money in the end.

Relax Alpine, these things don't happen over night unless it is done by way of pre-pack, which is not the case here. The Administrators are busy making sure they get the best deal possible. Bidders may be waiting to see our final league position before making an offer. Bidders are also busy gathering finance. All of this takes time. Expect to see major developments within a month of the last game of the season. Until then relax and enjoy the fact that Lowe and his muppets have walked away with nothing but egg on their faces.

I would not normally have expected the council to want to get involved but with strong rumours that Aviva would be prepared to accept a lot less for the stadium than they are owed it would be a good investment for the council. It would also be a good investment for anyone else buying the club which is why I don't think the council will buy it. I suspect the administrator would prefer to see the stadium go to the new owner unless somehow there was a way that he could get more cash in by selling to the council (unlikley I think). I suspect also that any new owner would want the stadium as part of the overall deal.

It is a good thing. We were facing relegation regardless of the administration situation. Don't think that's changed things on the pitch. So glad that we've finally got rid of the PLC structure and the main owners. Looking forward to the fresh start and the hope and optimism we can truly all gleen from that. Any hope whilst under Lowe was tempered by the fact that things were never going to be good enough and that the club would always perform within itself. I'm not sure when the good days will return but I believe they will come back sooner than they ever would under the Lowe/PLC structure. GM, I'm not sure many people are enjoying things the way they are here and now, but this is a transitional phase. I am excited by what the future may bring.

It should not slow the process down at all. The process is actually fairly simple. The onus really is down to the bidders to due their due diligence and put a bid on the table with evidence that it is substantiated. If they don't do it in time they lose out. Simples. I can't see any problem with us getting this done within the requisite timescale, whatever that may be.

You cant go around making up the rules after the event mate, there would be chaos. Trying telling any business that they should be penalised, pay tax, undo a deal because whilst they had had regard to the law and didnt infringe it they are morally wrong. ******. The FL should remove this loophole once Saints have been let off if they are really that bothered. Rules are rules - we should all have certainty that if we abide by them we will be fine. The PLC and the club Ltd co are two entirely separate people. It's the same as Gaydamack going bankrupt - that it quite different to Pompey fc going into administration. It astonishes me that people simply cant get to grips with this after all this time.

I think the rules are based on going into administration rather than on insolvency. By the way we are insolvent on the basis that as soon as Barclays called time we were no longer able to repay our debts as they fell due.

We will get away without getting a points deduction and the FL will vow to fill the loophole to stop similar cases happening in the future. So the FA should set new rules to stop this happening in future. They should not make up new rules after the event purely out of perceived 'fairness'.
