I''ve been there and to be honest we weren't much better before. We still created enough chances Sat to have won, no different to Plymouth/Orient

Vodka/Redbull and cream? Sounds kinda wierd to me
-
Spilt Vodka/Red bull over the laptop sat night and have sticky knobs (so to speak) Agree with you tho, it is annoying.

Are things really that bad? Ok Last night was a shocker but not unexpected. but win our game in hand and we're in a play off spot. A far better position than last season. We have agueably the best starting line up in the league. We have wealthy backers that seem determined to carry out Marcus's dream, and that family have entrusted NC (a very well trusted friend of the family and to run the business. His task is to make Southampton FC stronger in every department to enable us to compete at the very highest level. To this point we have no knowledge as to the reasons for AP's dismissal so until we do (if we do) everything is pure fantasy/speculation. Im not pro or anti Cortese or anyone else but Im pro SFC which is all that matters. We need to realise that alot of the decisions NC has made or will make will not be popular with us supporters. Why? because he is responsible for maximising every available stream of income from the club, that is part of his job. The reason we don't like it is because it's always the fans that have to pay more. That's just the way footy is now. Im fairly confident that we will get a good manager (who as NC has stated would be suitable for the task of getting us where we belong which is surely what we are all after. Until we know the facts I feel this rollercoaster of anti Cortese feeling is a dangerous game could be the one thing that derails the dream for all of us.

Yeah It's been a whole day now. What the **** is taking Cortese so long !!!!!!

I have to agree with a lot of what Alpine has said recently. I think the pre-season was a shambles. Yes I know we picked up injuries but we had bits n pieces teams playing in these games and never got any momentum to take us into the new season. After watching 3 games its obvious many players are not as fit as they should be and I think that AP sacking could have been the result of this. I'm not saying I agree with the decision but we did seem under prepared for the start of the season.

Yawn Yawn Yawn. What a very sad person you are.
-
Is that a Michael Palindrome then?
-
Why? It's not like the players need a rest. Most of the team looked unfit Saturday so surely these players need more games rather than training to get them match fit. Really think we should go for this one and try and get the feelgood factor going.

Markus's dream/vision was to see Saints get to the premier league. I feel sure that his family will be even more determined now to see that through. What better tribute could there be for such a great and highly successful man. Whatever happens he has left the club with many of the foundations for success already in place and I for one will be eternaly grateful. R.I.P Markus

+1 He really is the most boring, depressing, irritating person on this forum bar none! Couldn't make it today but from reports of people who ATTENDED the game it seems that even without the likes of RL/ Spiderman/ Puncheon and Lallana we dominated against a strong Reading team and only lost by giving a few fringe players a run out in the last 20 mins. Surely even the most tedious and negative person can take some positives from that.

Revenue and customs block attempt from Poor smuff to come out of admin. SSN
-
I think you could be spot on with this Trousers. This would force them to exit administration without the cva therefore incurring the -15/17 points penalty. I reckon the HMRC would see this as the best warning shot to other clubs thinking of talling the p!ss.

Just ordered mine. Had to wait for my new Halifax credit card to come through. (11 months interest free) Works out better for me than the installment plan. Just have to find a card with a similar deal for next season. Happy days COYR

According to Radio Solent sports news this morning their "sources" claimed it was withdrawn because of something in there that AP was unhappy with. Apologies if already posted.

And thankyou Phil for falling asleep on the 8.42 back to Salisbury. It meant more vodka for the rest of us . Did Foxy make it back ok.Think we were all a tad wobbly when we left Leicester Sq. "no singing in the pub please" LOL -
Pre-season "friendly" at AFC Portsmouth in the BSP would be nice! Then fly off to the sun for a week of intense karaoke singing with Big Phil in Dubai. Character building stuff!!
-
Once Brighton's new Falmer stadium is finished you may be able to rent the Withdean Stadium. Maybe a tad big for you but them sailor boys will no doubt enjoy goin down there (so to speak)
-
Mr "S" from Salisbury prob has a nicely coloured leg after getting a mauling from a police dog. Looked rather painful when he took off the bandages in the Kingsland Tavern! Still at least he admitted it was his own fault. 59? Old enough to know better lol;)

I think the financial criteria for conference clubs is as strict if not stricter than the PL and would not accept you. The non league set up has had financial problems for years, this is all new for the Prem league, but you can be sure that whatever happens football finance will have to change as a result of all this. I do hope you survive but at a lower level, just wanna beat ya twice a season
-
Get In there. Yo Phil, See ya there. We'll be on the Noisy Salisbury bus!!!
