  1. He hates the FA He hates the FA Bradley Wright Phillips He hates the FA
  2. That's officially what we've been docked points for. 'Breaking insolvency regulations'.
  3. Unfortunately the Trust, and Nick Illingsworth, leave a very bitter taste in many fans mouths. I cannot see a push for a 'Trust-fronted fan ownership scheme' being anything other than a failure. If the whole fan ownership thing is to be successful then it needs to be started from a completely blank sheet. I'm sure the large percentage of fans feel someone as publicly outspoken as Nick (who splits supporters feelings almost as widely as Rupert Lowe) should not be involved in key decision making whatever his good intentions. I'm not questioning Nicks loyalty or tireless hard work, just his suitability to be neutrally representing the fans.
  4. I agree. And it has to be the BBC version.
  5. No good to me. Not good enough on the road for our needs. If I was looking for an out and out off-roader then that's what I would go for.
  6. No worries! I know the later ones (that weren't built by Nissan) were a bit of a pig. Mainly because they were built for the American market.
  7. Why's that? My mechanic's told me they're pretty bomb proof. They are mechanically identical in every way to the Nissan Terrano. In fact they are basically Nissan Terranos with a Ford radiator grille.
  8. Unfortunately I was out-voted on that one!
  9. Having been bitten by the off-road bug after a couple of top weekends on Salisbury plain and I'm looking to get a 4 x 4. In order to get the missus to agree to me having one it has to fit a practical criteria as well so it must be a 7 seater. I'm on a budget of £2k or under and currently looking at 3 options. Either a Mitsibushi Pajero/Shogun on around a K or L plate, a Nissan Terrano on a P or R plate or a Ford Maverick on a P or R plate. Does anyone have any experience with any of these, good or bad? Also, does anyone have any other suggestions on what I could get on that budget? I don't want anything with hyper-mileage either!
  10. Oh bugger. I better stop watching it then. I'm 36!
  11. Is 24 the right age to be a football fan then?
  12. If you really did get 9 GCSEs at A to C (which I suspect is not the case) then it's a damning indicment of our secondary education system. On the subject of this thread it was a real shame to see people leaving after the 3rd goal but I can understand why they did it. I was close to it myself but bit my tongue and remained planted in my seat. Had the club not been in this unfortunate position I would have walked out and I suspect those that did head for the exits were far from plastic. It's far more likely they've been to every game so far and could not believe what was unfolding before their eyes. We are better than our performance on Saturday and in a typical Saints tradition, a team that have been tragically poor all season turned up looking like league winners. I think, under the circumstances, a little frustration was allowed.
  13. To be fair Corpse it was maybe 2 or 3% of the crowd but you're never one to let the truth get in the way of a good argument are you? *edit * This is again shown in your post above. £5? It was £15 actually. £5 for juniors yes, but £15 for everyone else. I haven't read any of your over-optimistic, misguided ramblings for a long while. It's good to see they're still as chuckleable as always. Keep it up son! Oh, and in your defence the Primus thing was very funny on Saturday. It amazes me how people have the inabilty to read a players name on his shirt! To be fair he did look like the mighty Linvus though.
  14. Craig David - A 21st Century Elton John!
  15. He's just pumped a load of cash into sponsoring Brawn F1 so pretty unlikely!
  16. Ken Bates!
  17. It worries me more that he may have been here in an advisory capacity to dear old Wupes.
  18. All ties in with the Ken Bates thing. Maybe he is assisting Lowe in buying back the company? Interesting!
  19. Seriously though. It's not like there's a lack of connection between Mr Bates and clubs in administration is there? Be scared, be very scared! Is there any way of finding out if that is actually his personalised plate?
  20. I was following a tasty, top of the range VW Toureg 4x4 with the number plate K 84TES along the Southampton to Winchester section of the M3 this morning. Could the bearded tyrant be sniffing around the carcass of Southampton Football Club or was he just down here to advise our beloved ex-chairman on how to fold a club and then rebuy it for peanuts? This could be meaningless as I have no way of knowing if it was indeed the man himself (the Toureg had dark tints) but it seems a big coincidence to me. Scary thought either way really though!
  21. Great race, looks like it's going to be a good season. All in all I enjoyed the BBC commentry and we look like we could have 2 English drivers in with a shout this year. All in all me's a happy man.
  22. I think that would be the best thing yes. I don't expect there'll be that many of us so I'd say 1 only, definately
  23. I have started a fantasy F1 league up for anyone that's interested. It's at; http://www.fantasy-f1.net The league name is Team SaintsWeb and the password is SaintsWeb76 Registration is very simple and not at all long-winded. It's going to be a difficult one to call this year, especially in Australia!
  24. None as far as I'm aware. Isn't that the point I'm trying to make though? Or am I lost here?
