  1. goal. own goal. ******
  2. come on lads, get stuck in... COME ON YOU SAINTS!!
  3. we r playing in red n white...
  4. Radio Five Live Extra is covering the game today, but only if you are in the UK. Broadcast starts at 14:45.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/5livesportsextra/schedule/
  5. Well seeing as it is going to be raining hard up in Burnley this afternoon I reckon it will be a really scrappy, physical game. I reckon we will still come out on tops though. I'm predicting 2-3 to Saints. Come on You Greys! (or are we in Red n White today? forgot what Burnley's strip is...)
  6. if the lads took some viagra they would be excellent at keepie-uppy
  7. The reason, in my book, we aren't scoring is the usual lack of killer confidence whne getting near the box. The old saying "you miss 100% of the goals you don't go for" comes to mind. Got to have someone who is prepared to have a crack at the ball. Not every goal needs to be elegant and well formed. At least not in this league. Just have a frickin' crack at it!
  8. Which is all we need to do this season. Of course we all want to see good football but, in my book at least, avoiding relegation is THE most important outcome this season. And hopefully avoid it without coming down to the last 7 minutes of the season like last season.
  9. Good goal by Bradley. Excellent couple of saves by Kel, kept us with one point. Dissapointing not to get our second win at home. Still, a point is better than none but we have got to start winning at home. Had a good chat with some Owls in the pub before the game. A nice bunch of lads.
  10. Well I like the fact that I have been guarenteed a second ticket. It is actually really nice to be rewarded for being a STH once in a while, after all I did give the club £450 in cash in the summer so I guess this is a way of the club saying thanks. And besides, with only about 10,000 ST it still leaves another 10,000 tixs availbale for general sale/members
  11. it seems that this 0800 number problem is because it is out sourced. Call me old fashioned but outsourcing never helped anything work better, only cheaper. And cheap is not always better.
  12. good point - but then again when we come to sell players to overseas clubs then we take advantage of the weak exchange rate!
  13. in my limited understanding of property law I would imagine that although the club (plc) might have an option on the land, the only way they could gain financialy would be to sell that option, but then there they might be barred from selling the option. Would certainly be a good way to pay down some debt BUT only if it still means that the club could expand the stadium when/if we need to. I would have thought that a big plus point as far as any potential investor is concerned is that the stadium could be expanded. After all, in three years time we could (yeah, I know!) be champions of Europe and as such will need a bigger stadium!
  14. not in my warped imagination you can't!
  15. and there was I thinking you were the owner of the nice jiggly pair of basookas in your avatar..
  16. geek alert
  17. I think it is great that we are playing Wednesday on Saturday. A tad confusing for the diary but hey, that's life. And here's a bit of general knowledge: did you know that Chefeeled Wednesday actually started out as a cricket club? The cricket team got bored in the winter, what with no cricket to play, so started kicking a ball around. Eventually more fans turned out to watch the football in the winter than the cricket in the summer so they disbanded the cricket club and went full time with the football. Weird eh?
  18. Yeah, I agree. A very expedient service. I emailed the ticket office the other day to change my address and got a reply saying all was changed within the hour. Now if only my frickin bank could be so engaging.
  19. SMS will be full. I reckon there will be a lot of disappointed walk-ups on the day. And well done to Lowe (it's a rare event when I praise him but credit where credit is due) for putting the price of the ticket up to £30. The club needs all the cash we get at the moment and people will still be happy to shell out a few extra quid above the normal price in order to see us beat Manure.
  20. Or how about the stewards grovel on the floor in gratitude that we all decided to turn up and help pay their wages
  21. absolutely. if super Kel goes then we can all start planning our league one away trips...
  22. Please, please, please, please, please dear God let the club hire a catering company who can get good pasties in. How hard can it be? Two seasons ago I could look forward to a really decent pastie at half time. Since then they have not been good. Now call me a pedant if you like but a football club with out decent pasties is like a broken pencil...pointless.
  23. Exactly! And all these modern day 'necessities' are in fact luxuries. I have a friend who runs a successful business, has a good stable family and social life and doesn't have a mobile, car, internet or exotic holidays. He always seems so happy and stress free....
  24. Ah! Now that's why I am a Saints fan! Soothing classical holding music, which I think I am correct in saying is a spot of Mozart! The skates would probably have some nasty X-factor tosh.
  25. Thanks, but even that number is engaged.... Ahhh! Can we assume that as ST holders we will still be guarenteed to get our own seats if we buy at the game tomorrow? I hope so.
