  1. On the subject of dodgy knees, (the list is impressive!!) maybe finally our Chairman and the club in general have learned from past mistakes. It's been enough with Svensson's knee for the past 3 seasons, so maybe Davis's transfer isn't all the doom and gloom it appeared to be. When he starts playing regularly and playing well for Stoke I'll grieve. Till then I'm inclined to think it's another nice bit of smart business by Rupert. Afterall we did take a dodgy injured Pulis Junior in part exchange. As for Rudi, hasn't it occured to some people he might have failed a medical at Ipswich but due to the old pals act between Sheep****ger and Lowe it's been quickly swept under the carpet awaiting some overseas idiot to come along and sign him. No point in alerting one and all that we have all these senior players with hidden injuries if we want to cash in on them in January. Cocaine by Eric Clapton is very popular these days amongst highlife sportsmen
  2. The expectation today after seeing the team sheet was so bad for me, that for the first time, for as long as I can remember, I didn't even bother logging on. I went to bed and have just woken up and all was just as I expected. Just how much longer are we going to avoid using experienced and senior players in the mix?
  3. I think taking a consideration of reviewing the first 10 games at the beginning of a season would paint a very different picture. We have notoriously bad starts to each season and some who've started well have seen the season peter out. I have to laugh at the deliberate exclusion of Paul Sturrock who turns out to have had the highest first 10 games total. It might be worth noting Plymouth were below us a few games ago and are now in the top 6. Jan will do okay this season and anyone who thinks otherwise is biased or in for a big shock. He's once again shown he's prepared to sacrifice one or two games(especially televised ones) to get things how he wants them. We have the players, we have the right managers and we will get the right results over the whole season.
  4. I really would like to see something done to invite Keith Legg to contribute in the form of his Matchday reports and make available some of the magnificent material that used to be posted at Saintsforever. In my books Keith's contribution to this website is the one ingredient that is missing, that would spice things up.
  5. Nice of the Donnies to give us a FREE match commentary today. http://matchlive.safc.premiumtv.co.uk/mlex/258741/matches/10172006/2686762/match_console.html?clubid=undefined

    Safri sale?

That'll be nothing to all the fun and games if Newcastle ever get taken over by the "Hello dare" Nigerian Synicate. If he falls for it, Ashley will reap his just desserts.
  7. Good news getting Dyer out of the picture. His inclusion has only led to better players not getting to play. I'm sure it's all to do with the pay off to Sheffield United for the loan of Lucci Luk at the end of last season. Makes cents! Good on your Rupert
  8. The Radio Station would be lined up as part of Harry Redkrapp's retirement parcel. What better person that Harry to spout endless crap over the airwaves. Beats Will Cope anyday.
  9. If I won a 100 million I'd buy up Skatesville and the Cherries, sell off all their players, pay off Redkrapp to go into retirement, then bulldozer the Farton Rust Bowl, sell off the land and reinvest the whole sum total I'd have obtained into Saints, ensuring Rupert was solely in charge and given full reign to make the club great again. And for good measure I'd close down all the supporters forums so as to allow him and the manager to get on with the job in peace and without all the ITK commentators and IKBTY's

    Jans Verdict

It's sounding more and more like Jan would have been the ideal choice to replace Georges Prost in the system set up.. I still believe he has what it takes and like to think he's using these early games to test out formations and will go on to win in the long run. His comments about the other teams in the past not doing well in the opening 10 games but later gaining promotion lead me to think this. After all, look at Sunderland 3 seasons back, or Crystal Palace who were bottom at Christmas and went on to get promoted. He's still experimenting and I'd convinced he's got one or two aces up his sleeve in the form of the senior players he's not used. We can but hope. Very little choice in the matter. It's swim or sink like a stone.
  11. Am I the only one who's noticed that Michael Svensson who was supposed to be back playing today, is to be seen? Looks very dodgy and we're back to the days of the big coverups.
  12. Praise the Lord we still have supporters like Derry, Elmore and Yorkie. It's many a year since I was last so proud like I am of the fighting spirit of these young warriors who just don't give up. They have nothing to be ashamed of. The British Empire was built by sending such young guys like this into battle and the next generation of success st our club will be built and founded on what we're watching right now. Had Lancashire not been sent off and Holmes not mowed down we would very unlikely not have lost 4 -1. Jan used his head in playing Lancashire knowing full well he has to blood players to survive a long hard season. Had his options not be reduced he could have played Perry or John later in the game. This was Game 5 and another 41 League games to go. Do people have such short, fickle memories? Would they have prefered to send out a team of donkeys, has beens and mercenaries? I'm proud of being a Saints supporter again when I see our players battling the way they did. Rome wasn't built in a day and we have other players behind the scenes. We still are entitled to bring in loan players. No need to panic and why did we need to show every other team our game plan, our set pieces on TV? Hopefully that's the last game for a while before the cameras. We hardly ever win when we are on TV. I'm more worried about all the big money flies that will be buzzing around the Saints jampot hoping to cream off the best of the crop, than how the season will pan out and develop. Davies kept the goals in single figures and a couple of other experienced heads brought in will soon have us winning and picking up points. Lads, there are some of us who were proud of you, know you'll get there and silence these weak hearted, fickle minded supporters who are just baying for us to fail, for Lowe to be proved wrong. Onwards and very definitively upwards.

    Scouting

Seeing that Agent Dennis "C O C K" Roach has been a long time pal of Rupert Lowe, I can well believe he and his band of Merry Men of Brown Envelop Distributors will be involved somewhere along the line. What happened to Stewart Henderson by the way? I was unable to connect for almost a month. Did I miss something? Can't find him mentioned anywhere. What person better positioned to have the knowledge of the good players around.
  15. Kevin and being ex Saints definitely isn't the flavour of the week. First Kevin Bond Monday, then Kevin Keegen Tuesday, so who's next???
  16. All the best to you Mick and and a speedy recovery.
  17. Copy URL into http://youtubeloader.com/ and you can convert straight away to MPEG4 or just FLV format
  18. Nice to see another of Rupert's protegés Stuart Gray getting that fantastic win at Bolton as Northampton manager. Says the Reebox is his lucky ground as he also took Saints there and won too. Along with the win at Middleborough it was the highlight and only candlelight in his elustrious reign at St Mary's.
  19. Simon Gillett is 5ft 6 ". It is a topic that was discussed two seasons ago. Gordon Strachan is the same height.

    Hats off to Lowe

I've said this many a time in the past. When Lowe first took over 12 years ago, he let a lot of people know that he wanted to find the means to remove the old guard, replace them by a younger, more efficient and effective board. He was constantly fighting to achieve and look to what lengths he had to go to achieve that goal. I honestly believe that Wilde was part and parcel of the plan to bring about that change, only that a certain Leon Crouch became the fly in the oinment, which resulted in a different approach. We've had the players but beyond Strachan, Hoddle and Luggy we didn't have the motivators, managers with their hearts in the right places to get the best out of the players. Redkrapp let his doubts on his move to Saints rub off on the players, so much so they too had doubts of where the club was going. I've often said Lowe was a visionary, before his time in history. I can only hope he'll curb his ways and continue to work silently and effectively in the background. Only the time will tell, for many, they may not live to see who was right or wrong.
  21. Selling Davies for 1.5 million and getting Alan Bennett in on a Free from Reading isn't a bad bit of business. You know it makes cents!

    Graham Hiley

I should like to wish Graham every good luck with his new job. To stay as long in his job at Saints as he did was an enormous stunt in the development of his talent. He was made for greater adventures and I hope he's not left it too late and this move with really take him places. All the best Graham and a big thank you for all your past Contraversial bits.
  23. I might remind people that opening an account at Justin TV enables one to log on to private members channels. And may I also remind people the easiest and fastest site on the web to get banned is at Justin TV.
  24. Being left in the darkness Rasiak -9 you can't see, so you know nothing. Those who know nothing can't tell, can't spoil things. Seek and you will find. Well done Giordano, there are true Saints in our midst who dare to think more about others than just themselves. Top man!
  25. You might blame Microsoft updates for many of the weird happenings of late. Seems there are layoffs and they're getting bored so they're drumming up business by creating their strange and unexplicable browsing events.
