  1. Very interesting indeed about the missing 40 million. Something I think 99% of Saints supporters have been suspecting for the past 5 years. Maybe, finally the chickens are about to come home to roost. Why in everything does David Jones, Finance Director, always come away squeaky clean? http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/apr/27/southampton-burnley-championship-relegation
  2. Totally agree with this point of view. We the supporters, the players and coaches have all been unjustly punished by the Football League when the true culprits have got clean away, are playing to recuperate their ill gotten gains and warped investments. I can't see why a supporter group cannot and will not take the former culprits to court. The Football League needs to be reported to FIFA in order that the Administration regulations ensure that they punish the true culprits and not the victims. Where is British Justice when the Football League is allowed to drive away from football the very people who've supported the game all their lives. We all have to stand up and be counted faced with the likes of Lowe, Wilde, Crouch, Askham and Co. They must never ever set foot again in the corridors of power at St Mary's or any other football club!
  3. From someone who's spent the past 5 years posting links both for radio and TV coverage I'd really appreciate any link to enable me to participate in this final home game. Thanking you in advance, any kindhearted soul.
  4. Totally gutted and fear more bad news will follow. I only hope that the players go out in style and manage to savour at least the last remnants of pride we have left by winning our final two games and sending the likes of Forest down. Next we can expect the Administrator to announce that, following the League's deduction of points, all interested parties have decided to end their interest in purchasing the club. More likely is the League will dig up other skeletons and more points will be deducted. One thing is certain. We have to accept that it'll be at least 2 seasons before we stand a chance, if any, of getting out of League One.
  5. The more I think about GM's wonderful scheme the more I believe the British and French Media should be immediately informed of GM'ds correspondance and what has taken place way back in 1338. This is the stuff big news stories are made of by the likes of CNN and seeing Monaco and the Grimaldi dynasty were founded the ill gotten gains of a pirate Grimaldi won't go down too well in Royal Circles. Name and shame and better still if someone in the area can claim descendancy from the Southampton Mayor or Administrators of the time. Go for it!!
  6. A brilliant scheme indeed. Next ought to be the holding hostage and to ransom of the Principalities current day investment in the fair city of Southampton, namely Grimaldi Shipping Company Agencies Ltd Currie House, Herbert Walker Avenue, SOUTHAMPTON, SO15 1HJ Tele:02380210250
  7. Monaco is home base of "French Connection" WILLIE MCKAY, brown envelope distributor friend of many a manager and agent within football.[-X :DMaybe Fabrice Fernandes plans to make a reappearance after 5 years out in the cold, protecting his and McKay's interests overseas.
  8. Just note Norwich's position is every promotion and relegation. We were born for one another and this season seems cut to size for us both.
  9. Some folk don't seem to realise that there has to be two clubs worse off than us to escape relegation with Charlton. Norwich seem to be fated along with Saints for relegation and promotion for as long as I can remember. I'd have loved us both to have escaped with Barnsley and Forest going down but sadly I don't think it'll happen.
  10. Yorkie's post has said all that I'm feeling myself. Sadly, I too, shall be really astonished if someone or somebodies come along and buy the club, especially after today's fiasco. If anyone has ever worked for a Dutch boss perhaps they know like I do that they can drum up so much fear and confusion that any normal human being can't function. Jan was different but Wotte has lived up to the steriotypes I've often encountered. He was the wrong choice when it was clear the Dutch experiment wasn't working. It makes my blood boil when I think of all the possible replacements available and out of a job, not to mention our very own Stewart Henderson. Why the hell hasn't Svensson pulled on his boots, for I can't believe he'd not have been capable of putting in a better performance than so many players in the squad? It's not too late and why can't he bid farewell as a player by appearing in next weeks team. Better still is if Wotte is no longer about by Monday, and the likes of Franny and Matt le Tiss don't get behind the lads for our finale. Southampton Football Club that we all have loved for so many years is dead and about to be buried. Flowers and wreaths are the only thing our supporters need to take along to St Mary's in order to send out a message that it's all over. RIP.
  11.:mad::mad: I thoroughly agree that Wotte should stand down immediately and leave Henderson and Svennson to run team for last two games. Henderson knows the players better than anyone and should have replaced Jan in the first place. Come on Saints Web Forum, lets see some action and get support for immediate action before Wotte puts out another feeble selection for the final games.

  13. One club that has struggled financially for years and have a very strong supporter input on funds is Kilmarnock in Scotland. I have pointed out to the Trust (but obviously ignored) two years back that their supporters finance entirely the club's Academy, one of the best north of the border. I recall the fans raising 30,000 pounds in one month of bucket collections and various social events for their Academy 2 years back, which sadly shows how ineffective our own collections have been. I do NOT want to be accused of criticising the wonderful people who gave generously and devoted their time to our own campaign, just somehow I believe it's no more than ****ing in the wind whilst genuine support right across the supporter base is lacking.
  14. Why should Barclay's be worried when they'll be covered by insurance on the overdraft? In the current crisis all they have done is exert pressure on clients so that they can activate insurance claims. It is to be wondered whether this wasn't the only reason they pulled the rug from Lowe and Wilde's plans for survival. At the same time I've felt Lowe and Wilde had taken enough from Barclay's manoeuvering, and just put the company into Administration to have and be done with their petty games.
  15. Sadly, too little too late I'm afraid. Had the other results gone our way then this would have meant something. Alas I fear for the remaining games and chances of leap frogging the other teams.
  16. :smt097 It's Wotton's omni presence in the squad that has ensured Saints haven't won a game recently. And who can blame him doing what he can to help out his beloved Plymouth. Why the hell can't Svensson get his boots on and do something useful for the defence in these final games. What have we got to lose now?
  17. It's all over baby blue!
  18. As .comsaint would have said back in 2001. KEEP THE FAITH!
  19. I have to scratch my head in dismay when I see all these claims and conterclaims, denials of blame. Lowe claims he's not responsable for the wasting of money but there is one of the biggest wastes of club money that has, as far as I know, never been used as ammuniation to hit back at his claims. We all know about Delgado, about how much was written off, but has anyone done as tally of how much was wasted on compensation and confidentiality clauses to all the managers, coaches, even players that Lowe removed during his tenure. I'd bet that it makes a whole lot more than the amount wasted during his absence from the boardroom. Anyone know how much? Must be a tidy sum and could even believe the clubs still paying out to some individuals to keep them silent.

    Team for Watford.

At this moment in time I question the allegiances of Paul Wotton, Luggy's one time favorite son. No coincidence the defence has been letting in goals with Wotton in the team. Anyone with solid credentials and loyalties but this guy, especially when Luggy's been calling for Saints to get the points deduction. I feel sick that Watford are escaping relegation and have Rasiak in their midst. Surely, considering our circumstances the administrator could request the FA quash all the loan agreements namely Dyer, Rasiak and John.
  21. I heartily agree that the sudden reappearance of Crouch with McMenemy towing along really sends out as bad a message as Lowe and Wilde. It truly stinks. The more the two of them have appeared the more downhearted and depressed I've felt at the sight. I want to see all past players of the Boardroom Wars swept well and truly out to sea once and for all. Dispatch them on an Isle of Wight Ferry, the lot of them. I'd like to see a poll on here to send out the right message that the majority of supporters don't want to see any of yesterdays men ever again within the walls of power. We need a clean slate, a new beginning. Why are Crouch and McMenemy doing it? For exactly the same reason Lowe and Wilde were...................to try and scrap back their ill begotten gains earned in days gone by.
  22. "Where has all the money gone?" Where has all the money gone?". "Gone to accountants everywhere, when will we ever learn, when will we ever learn"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is one common denominator in the entire tragedy. One who survives every twist and turn, every cull and relegation!!!"....................... ..........David Jones, Finance Director! With some much money earned and received and then gone missing, why has there never been a full scale audit and inquiry?
  23. Incredible. Wee Gordon has come out in support by saying he's flabbergasted cos he always classed Saints as the best financially run club in the country. Now WGS isn't short of a penny or two and would make a perfect inside football person to lead a consortium. Especially when the timing fits in line with him needing to get away from Celtic.
  24. A Sir Alex and Darren Fergusson, a Harry Redknapp and Jamie or a Frank Senior and Frank Junior Lampard but most likely of all a Tony Pullis and son Anthony.
  25. If you love Southampton Football Club and Saints stand up, huh???? Well at this moment in time, if you love Southampton Football Club and Saints, why don't you all just shut up. Let the Administrators achieve what they need to do and present Saints as an asset that a worthy buyer will be interested in paying out good money for.
