Yet another case of b u ll s h i tt in g ticket office staff or posters from this forum posting exaggerated ticket sales prior to the match. What happens? Many intending to buy or go at the last minute are put off thinking it'll be too late to get a ticket. Thursday some idiot posted on here that he'd been told there were already 26,000 tickets sold. Someone, somewhere neeeds to get this issue sorted out, as people are not turning up that could do. And what about season tickets then? Got a long way to go to catch up with Norwich's 18,000 season tickets sold 6 weeks ago.

I can see BBC Radio Solent getting the job. All will depend on whether we remain independant or sign up for Premium Sport. I'd prefer we sign up for Premium Sport as they do a good deal.

Forward to the Past comes to mind. I thought we were going to move forward not resurrect the past. His sending off and attack on the ref is one of the saddest moments in all the time of following Saints. How about Blackstock to thank him for his **** ups in the play offs or some of the other ghosts from the past. He's been a total failure seeing how we paid 2 million for him and were told he had a great future ahead of him. That was 6 years ago. If anyone, it's Matt Oakley we could do with bringing back.
-
Before making fools of ourselves could you please provide a confirmable link to this information. Nothing would be worse than give him a rousing Happy Birthday and him not know what the f U cK we were on about.

The sad thing is that a stadium full of potential regulars look to be shocked into returning for the rest of the season. I feel he should have waited till we had signed one or two players and had our next manager in place. As long as the players on show give it their all folk will understand but any lackluster performance like last season and a slaughtering will be a complete commercial disaster.
-
Happy Birthday Thorpie and many more of them. How come you and Master Bates forgot my birthday last Saturday, the 11th? I'm expecting you make both make amends. Anyone see that Neil McCann is looking to take his first job in football management having gained all his UEFA badges down during numerous long lay offs?

Firstly I posted 3 weeks ago that newspapers north of the border had posted that Strachan was returning from his holidays in Malaga on the Friday of that week. He's been sighted around since then. He's also said he wants to end his career working with youngsters and our Academy would present a truly great job for him especially with all the necessary funds available. I'd be delighted for Dennis Wise to take over as manager as he's just the type of no nonsense manager who hates the media and gives 110% we really need. I'd prefer having Gus Poyet in with him as the two together were unstopable at Leeds. And Newcastle fans have been posting that Wise should not have been kicked out and actually did a pretty good job. It was all prejudice like at Leeds because he was a ****ney.

With Stoke and other Midlands clubs mouching around and buying our players one gets to wonder whether Anthony Pullis isn't working as a soccer agent on the side. After all, it seems to be an attractive business for the sons of Premiership managers. What the hell is he doing at the club anyway? Certainly not playing football.
-
Thoroughly agree with you Col. Strachan's not my first choice but the fact Henderson's been put in charge to get on with the build up shows to me that someone has big confidence that he'd do okay in preparing the squad. That points to Gordon who will be quietly preparing behind the scenes for recruitment whilst still enjoying his wee break.

You know well that I've been harping on about Karma for the past 7 years and since we left the Dell things have definitely not gone well for us beyond the Cup Final under WGS. Oddly it was Strachan who refused to allow the Cedren Dragonoak, the Witch, into St Mary's to perform the full pagan rites. Maybe the new owners should bring her along for the opening match to pour virgins wee on the corner and goal posts. Phil, you say the takeover seems to have ended 6 years of bad luck but have you forgotten Pharoah's Dream of 7 fatted cows and 7 lean cows that Joseph interpreted as 7 years of plenty, 7 years of famine. I've always found life runs in cycles of 7 good years and 7 difficult years. Let's hope Lowe's decision not to invest after the Cup Final was divinely inspired and we are at the doors of a Golden Age. Certainly we reaped what we sowed where Skates were concerned and our fortune dipped as theirs was on the rise. Let's forget about all our south coast neighbours less we end up in the Blue Square. The North London Yobbies present themselves as the object of future nastiness.
-
Well said Phil. I was elated over the takeover, the departure of Wotte and new contract for Kelvin Davis. Then the usual psychopaths appear and create hysteria that is beyond all belief. I am coming to believe that SFC is supported by inmates from a lunatic asylum. Tony Adams is so desperate for a job that he has touted himself for nearly every position that comes up. Recently he bluffed the Scottish dailies into believing he was on the short list for the Celtic job. It got so bad the club issued a statement saying his calibre was even under consideration. We also have Skate infiltrators on the message boards who are lapping up this kind of rumour mongering and the resulting hysteria. On top of that you'll have one or two disgruntled bidders for the club only too happy to muck stir, ensure that there are few season tickets sales etc... I'm slowly coming around to believing we have to make a clean break from the past and that also means ditching the likes of the Saints Trust, and this message board. We need to get back to roots, to have admins that are admins and not those who stir up the mistrust and hysteria. All this type of 606 rumour hysteria must be banned and decent forum football chat restored.

He and Dennis Wise are a superb team. Wise got the Directors job at Newcastle due to his sharp eye for spotting up and coming star footballers. Basically those he and Gus brought in are those worth a bob or two today. Strachan's best indication that he might take the job is that at the time of him taking his year off he said he wanted to finish his career in the lower leagues working with youngsters. Could our Academy hold a big attraction for him. So much for Liebherr appreciating German speakers. Wotte speaks fluent German but didn't last 2 minutes. In fact Wotte love of talking too much to the media didn't go down well with Liebherr. That's why Wise would appeal. He hates the media and talking to them. yet he gets on with his job and gets results.
-
After this evenings further announcement of Andrew Oldknow as COO, I fear that Mister Liebherr will have us all going Wilde in no time at all. All along I have felt that all the previous players would have a hand somewhere or other in one or more of the takeovers. Crouch was clearly involved in Pinnacle, Lowe I am certain was involved in this late bid from the World Financiers and Mister Liebherr I fear had Michael, that dear sweet man from Burley as his trump card. As I said earlier, those purchasing Season Tickets before the full team is announced would do well to be on their guard. Either that, or be prepared to place the poison chalice to their lips and bear all consequences from so doing. (There may indeed be other further surprises, and although I doubt know that Lowe would be in their immediate plans, this man who is so loothed may actually lust for a position as Director of Football with the honourable gentleman from the Nederlands as his yes manager )
-
Not wanting to spoil this wonderful day and the tremendous news concerning the club and future, but I smell a rat, a dirty great big one. Why would our new owner choose not to announce the management team and board of directors till middle of August. If you're buying a Season Ticket ensure that you insist on conditions for reclaiming your money back. Not following me??? Insist on your money back if Messers Lowe and Wilde are appointed to the new board. I somehow think the only reason for delaying the announcement of the board is that one or both of them will be appointed. We can be pray, but, please cover your options.

Fry - Takeover is almost complete. Funds being transferred.
ART replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
Fantastic, I see it already. Redevelopment of Britannia Road and St Marys with Stadium moving out to Jackson's Farm or Staplewood. Nothing is impossible for the Liebherr family. -

This really feels so so good but reminds me of a typical Saturday afternoon listening to the commentary, and when the linesman holds up the card saying " 4 minutes of extra time" "Please please don't let there be any last minutes screw ups" Nobody's gonna sleep tonight if this isn't signed and sealed. A hard days night seems to be on the agenda. PS: If this is being paid in cash, how many of you have volunteered to turn up to count it? -
Unless our potential buyers and investors have tied everything up today, the FULL MOON, and get everything signed by tomorrow morning, I dare say that we'll be keep waiting a whole long while yet again. As the Moon wains then the chances of success will be reduced and have less chance of success. Why the hell can't we be like any normal takeover and be able to look forward to a bright future. I feel as frustrated now as I did in the late 50's when we never seemed to be able to get out of the old 3rd Division. It came eventually but look where the circle ended up 50 years later.
-
Very sad indeed as all he's going to West Ham for is to play second fiddle. Even sadder is that we can't be near a takeover or something could have been done. Fry is playing blindman's bluff and unfortunately all us Saints fans are taken for idiots whilst he takes us for a ride. Sad to see you leave Kelvin, we obviously aren't anywhere near being able to say we can offer you a deal.

Decision shortly according to new Bradford Telegraph article this morning http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/news/4475974.Richard_tells_of_his_role_in_bid_for_club/

Forget about Keith Harris, tomorrow's News of the Screwed states he's not about. I quote" "Keith Harris, the man brokering the sale of the club for Mike Ashley, was in America last night and an £80million deal could be struck inside 72 hours." Link: http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/381566/Newcastle-face-huge-Michael-Owen-bill-England-striker-and-Mark-Viduka-are-due-extra-pound750000-payout.html

I shall never forget when it comes to Saint Charlie, the certainty with which you proclaimed all last week that the Pinnacle deal was the done thing. I felt the time had arrived when the Messenger should once and for all time be put to bed!!Not surprising when you are relying on such notoriously unreliable sources as Solent and the Echo. On the Mail article, I think you should remain silent and leave the predicting to ARTOVISION. LIEBHERR translated means Love Man, so not surprising that the article appears in the MAIL I suppose! If this Swiss deal was indeed LIEBHERR why oh why did Fry need to leave them waiting almost a month before bringing them in. Especially for the likes of paqnbrokers likw Pinnacle. I hope for once we shall not be disappointed but this Fry guy leaves me mistrustful of his ability to recognise a good business deal when he sees one. I only hope Saint Ted is looking down upon us all tonight having put in a draught petition before the Almighty that He will spare His Saintly children of any further suffering and disillusionment.
-
I am hoping this Gillico crowd is just another huge publicity stunt like the re-entry of Pinnacle and Jackson. Someone close to the club or Fry will have let it be known the deal is almost complete so every Tom, **** and Harry wanting some free publicity will be putting in a bid. Fry should have announced Friday something like any additional bids require a 100,000 quid unrefundable deposit to be taken into consideration. You'd then have seen no new arrivals. All this is making me sick. I'm reaching the point where I wonder how many of us will actually survive all the stress of the daily ravings to see a bid succeed.
-
Why can't we be signing someone like Alan Bennett from Reading. He's available since the 25th of June on a FREE. Has nobody told Wotte about the guy. He started badly but became a hero afterwards. Would have stayed had Lowe not refused to pay him.
-
I must say that I agree with NickG's thoughts and when Fry made his next Friday deadline statement I believe that bids by the Swiss and other mystery Consortium were nearing completion. I believe that today is when he expects to confirm the buyer who'll have been working to tie up the loose ends. Elsewhere, I was priviledge last night to a text received by HM Customs expressing great interest in AWAC reports and close up shots of Harry and Sandra Redknapp's luxury yacht "BUNG". "BUNG" has been spotted returning up the English Channel from their Mediterranean cruise off Malta, Sicily and Lampedusa!! When "BUNG" sailed out of Sandbanks 3 weeks ago, there were only 4 very pale colored catering staff and the Redknapps aboard. Yet recent AWAC aerial photos very clearly show 22 extremely dark suntanned deck staff sunbathing in the high speed outboard engined equipped life rafts. The mind boggles as to what can be behind this latest Redknapp money earning scheme. Obviously it will be football related and definitely will outshine Harry's overnight scouting trips to Europe to pick up the post. I wonder what it could all mean?

I was about to post yesterday but was unable to. I would like to express my sheer disgust at the teatment of Spencer Farmer whom I have always found to be open and up front in all his dealings with myself and with others. As "The Farmer" he keep us all informed and updated us with answers to questions submitted to Tony Lynam and the Pinnacle people. He informed us long ago that he was responsible for Pinnacles website, it's a service he provides to his clients so there is nothing sinister or crooked in him so doing. He hasn't lied or deceived the supporters, just acted as a go between between them and Tony Lynam, Pinnacle's representative and negociator for their consortium in making their bid for the Saints. I would therefore request people lay off and get their facts right before slating and accusing the man who only wished to give insights into what was going on. Without his updates, without his possible insistance on Tony Lynam himself updating the forum, we would have known "F" all about what was going on. We wouldn't have had the information or see the confusion going on behind the scenes. He, as well as the likes of Matt Le Tissier have been duped, deceived and lied to and people should look for the real culprits and not the messengers who updated us all. There are maybe some who have taken umbridge or this attitude towards the man due to his past creating ForeverSaints and his position with regards to Keith Legg. It was something I spent much time in discussing with him over the issue. Keith Legg spent the best part of ten years providing a service to Saints Supporters, the likes of which have not been seen since, and, perhaps will never again be seen. To date, I have not found another to have met such high standards, Like many, Keith too was duped in supporting people he believed had the best interests of the club in their hearts. Spencer Farmer was always open and straight in his views as he has been of late over the Pinnacle affair. Maybe some would view it as Spencer's karma for his treatment of Keith Legg, to have been taken in also. Time will tell. One thing I don't wish to see is another genuine supporter being hounded off the internet and providing others with a service and then treated so dispictable. For me, the Karma is being played out on the club supporters for a trait that has become nowadays so common, but which in days gone by, had nothing to do with the Saints supporter base. We were, until 5 years ago known as the best supporters in the country. This cannot be said today. "You reap what you sow" and indeed many have sown all that they are now reaping in the demise of our beloved Saints. The day when we once again come together, once again unite and have respect for one another, then once again this once great club will move forward. "None so blind as those who refuse to see." "The Blind leading the blind into the mire, all because none will open their eyes, none will smell the coffee. We were and can be a great club and supporter base once again, so lets start building and finish with continuous destruction. Like I said at the start, I am disgusted at the stance taken by some members of our Supporter Base.
