Nigel Pearson MLT's first choice?? where did that come from?
ART replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
What short memories people have! Do we all forget the photos, or that Nigel and Leon have one of those extremely close relationships that even the Serbian warlord has no power over. What a magnificent kick in the kick for Mandarec this would be. Then again, maybe our secret buyer is one of Mandarec's side kicks with Redknapp stamped all over his forehead. I'm sure those who have been frollocking all night at Stonehedge will have seen Tony and his Pinnacle team beating drums and crying out in loud voices as the sun came over the horizon this auspicious morn. -
One can start the season in administration, but, as in the case of Leeds in 2007, you can't start without the "golden share" from the FL. We have until the 1st of August to obtain it.

Email campaign to expose what the slithery snake Mawhinney has done
ART replied to Mole's topic in The Saints
Sincerely, what good did the 30,000 signatures on Leeds petition or the 10,000 odd on Luton's do. Everyone but the clubs and League know that it's wrong but nothing changes. We've more chance appealing to Gordon Brown and getting action that MacWhinney and his muppets. -
A friend north of the border told me that Strachan has been on holiday in Malaga and was due to return the end of this week, which would be today or tomorrow. Strange there's been no sighting from over there although the wee man doesn't relish intrusions on his privacy.
-
I honestly think that Gordon Strachan is leading contender if money isn't a hindrance. I think it was a coincidence he resigned at Celtic at the same time we went up for sale. He had planned to leave anyway, would have wanted a holiday first. Strachan has to be there as a long term candidate seeing he lives on the doorstep. Then again, maybe Gerard Houllier could be there along with Georges Prost.

If this is indeed the case, the new owner is obviously wanting an auspicious day to finalise and sign everything. Monday night/Tuesday morning sees the arrival of the NEW MOON and therefore a great time to start a new venture. Friday is still the waxing Moon and wouldn't be as promising.

People in the south of France like the English? They prefer Germans and that's saying something. Being a Scot I've got by but there's no love lost for the English. Don't know about beaches but the whole port area is a fantastic place to hang out in Marseille with great restaurants and bars and I do believe there are areas where you can dive in for a swim. As someone said, keep out of the suburbs and don't get into a state where you don't have full control of yourself. Watch the subway system for pickpockets or muggers. I myself have always enjoyed trips to Marseille and well worth a visit.

I am hoping that our new owner would want the players to be the first to know and an announcement will be forthcoming today or tomorrow at the latest. Now reading on here that Lynham is taking in the garbage sprouted by certain posters on this board makes him even worse than Michael Wilde and the PR's working for you know whom. Surely if the club is indeed separate from SLH, the sale of the club could have gone through and been announced a long time ago. I can only hope that it's a sign of them being thorough and not of them expecting to take in the advice form the likes of Hypocumdriac in order to move forward.

I can understand the excitement of the Skates situation but let's not get too carried away when we ourselves don't even know who it is that's taking over our own club. I doubt very much such a thing could happen in our own case, but, all the silence, mystery, does leave one on one's guard. Let's not forget our own purchaser will require approval before we come out of Administration. Elsewhere. I just can't believe reading this morning that Stockport have sorted out their takeover already and begin negociations to expand their business.

New regulations on Administration. Football League move the goalposts to make it more difficult for clubs in trouble. The Barstewards!!! Elsewhere 7 subs on the bench next season http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/8097770.stm

Many many thanks David, you've not let me down. I had wondered whether you might have missed my suggestion but as always you read thoroughly the threads on which you post. This is a superb report and deserves to be part of it's own thread in order that everyone can get to read the statistics. I am unable to start threads being just a rank and file registered only member. Perhaps you could repost this report with a suitable title again. It makes fantastic reading and something very much above the NORM.( )

Now watch Fergusson announce his retirement and we lose Strachan as he takes over as United manager in his place. Talk about football musical chairs, only in our case, someones coated Superglue to the seat.

They seem not to know what they are talking about. Elsewhere they say Terry Paine was known as Elvis. Maybe to one or two but to most he was either Painer or Big Head and many other uncomplimentary names. It wasn't that the supporters didn't love his playing skills, just that he tended to be c o c kier off the pitch than when we have whizzing past opponents.b Whilst on the subject, don't they have dentists in South Africa. He's still missing one of his front teeth.

ARTOVISION said that the best time was at the Full Moon on the 7th June,, We are now the 9th and the moon is waining. Would be okay but for the best outcome they're going to have to wait till after the next New Moon which is not until the 22nd of June. S-PINACLE got Matt Le Tiss on board but it seems crystal clear that they forget to consult MERLIN.:D
-
Say David C in Sweden, changing the subject on this thread as seems the NORM these daya, how about giving this younger generation some of the attendances at the Dell when Saints were in the old third Division. I think many will be very surprised at how many squeezed in and will let them see that St Mary's could do a lot better.
-
Come on you Saints. We ain't had enough, so let's do it all over again like the past 5 years.
-
The only posts that Matt Le Tissier should hold in the renewed club is that of President or Vice President. Even Ted Bates was that foolish to step into the boardroom but all his days his input was respected by those who were in the boardroom. It's when he left the scene that it all fell apart. Were Matt to fill any other position at this time it would end in failure, something I would not like to see to someone of Matt's capacity and name.
-
If Crouch is going to be on the board I am soon going to lose any enthousiasm I've recently had. A clean sweep is what's required and otherwise we're only going to go through the same scenario all over again. I'm grateful to what he's done but like the likes of Lawrie Mac, Lowe, Wilde and all the others should be kept well away.

Here is the quote.

It upsets me when this type of information starts circling and the gullible masses start to accept such stories as being true. The only thing in my own opinion that could upset this deal is the throwback on the money markets provoked by the chaotic scenario being played out in Downing Street. Tomorrow sees the European Elections and the overall results could throw the value of the pound even further downwards. Let's hope not but as I've already posted, it's not over till it's signed, sealed and delivered. Don't get carried away just yet.

Thank you Paris match Colinjb! It's FOIE GRAS NOT FOIE GROIS

Many thanks MB. This clarifies that the Echo have been sensationalising the matter by their articlwe headlines. This explanation from you therefore puts my mind, and I guess many others to9o, at rest. Only beggars an explanation as to why the Football League have never cottoned on to the alleged transfer dealings of a certain Monsieur Redknapp over the years.
-
I find your information Master Bates somewhat confusing in the light of the Echo online article. Does the Echo article really say the Football League have withheld the mone? The online article just says we've paid up from the Dyer money. We were told recently that Notts County were going to be paid anyway but if it's due to the Football League actually withholding the money to pay them, this sends out a whole different scenario. We have to establish whether SFC are still operating independantly of SLH and therefore not as yet in administration. I read several months ago the Saints had negociated paying Notts County at the end of this season which is now and when it is being paid. I haven't seen Notts County forcing the issue with the Football League. Maybe I missed something.

She was traumatised and suffering from anxiety. Going to bed when one is in such a state isn't as simple. One needs help, drugs. She's someone who normally went to bed at 9.30pm every evening, was used to being alone, led a quiet life. Her life's been bedlum, and with the constant crowds, pestering from the press, life for her must have been like trying to run up the escalators the wrong way against the rush hour masses. Even the biggest pros and stars can't cope but hope does an ordinary middle aged woman from a small mining town have?

I should like to express a huge thanks and appreciate to Master Bates for posting his daily "Today's Echo" thread first thing each morning. We are blessed to have this guy get up so early, read the local rag from cover to cover, post on this board and then spend the entire day, everyday scratching non stop for the very latest Saints news I have been so impressed that I am nominating Master Bates for this years "Britains Got Crabs". This year we are lucky to have Santa Claws, Amanda Rash and Itch More-Gan on the jury.
