  1. Someone please remind Pas Dieu that we've had 10,000 for a Reserves game at St Mary's. I believe under Strachan.
  2. Indeed! He ticks all the right boxes when it comes to signing injured legends. High time we changed the name of Staplewood to Degadowood in honour of all past groin injury signings.
  3. Let us not forget that it was Pas Dieu who paid a small fortune to sign Bobby Zamora from Brighton at a time when no one else was interested. To date he's never set the place on fire. We have a better chance of reverting a player like Ollie Lancaster to a striker as anything else. After all, Kenwyne Jones was brought into Saints as a center half but converted to center forward via experiences aka Redcrap on the wing. A decent manager could turn the current players into a winning side, something that Pas Dieu has to date failed to do despite having the world at his feet transfer wise.
  4. I have to agree with you regarding Pas Dieu's judge of talent. That goes for his team selections and substitutions too. When he arrived we were told he knew a thing or two about up and coming players through all the Leagues, yet, it's always someone else who recommends a player to him. I can't help it but I have grave doubts to whether we'll ever go anywhere under Pas Dieu.
  5. Can someone please please send Pas Dieu a video of Camara playing down the left wing, cutting in to goal. He's just the man to transform the current side. If not Camara, then we do definitely need a couple of decent wingers. I am starting to think Bradley should never have left. Just look at 'im now and Plymouth and Luggy just can't do a thing right. Maybe we should loan Woot on back to them.
  6. And ART'S words could be heard thundering from the stadium roof. And the silence was deafening! Pas Dieu mais pas mieux. Poor Jan, and even " who did Wotte with Wotte" had a better points record after 10 games. Schoolboys and they had the whole country talking a year ago. With an injection of money and some experience they would have done better than this. Yet, we have the players, and our manager doesn't have a f u c k ing clue who to play. Ah well, another 2 months and the end of November arrives. How many points behind the 4th from bottom are we now? Was minus ten and some have the cheek to saying things are improving! Shame on them.
  7. I am not judging the players wild-saint, but the man paid to get them together and performing and winning games. I know today was an improved performance, but how often so far have we seen that and then next game was p i s s poor? I honestly don't see any different in the excuses and performances under Burley. Even Jan Poortviet was doing better and supporters singing his praises one year ago on a shoe string. That man was crucified but is a top coach and would have achieved miracles with the financial backing that Pas Dieu has now. I thank you saint-lard once again for your support and for showing that I'm not alone with feeling the way things are going. I find it astonishing that alpine and I have something to agree on for once. Gut feeling comes with years of experience. I'd love to be proved wrong but as I've said so many times before now, Pas Dieu is very much for being gone by the end of November unless something dramatic happens. This Pas Dieu isn't a Nigel Pearson, this is another Burley, come Steve Wigley aka Stuart Gray.
  8. Well, a point against our fellow relegated partners and two points lost YET again. We are supposed to win games, especially when we have the players at our disposal to do so. Yet Pas Dieu can't pick a winning team, can't adjust tactics and hasn't a clue on the use of substitutes. And he's got 7 to choose from. Don't think things are all rosy, cos they ain't. We're just as likely to play p i ss poor against Yeovil next week. 12 points are now needed to get out of the bottom four, not 11! It's worsening not improving. Marcus you're being ripped off. Just look at our neighbours Bournemouth, not a cent spent yet top of League Two. And Brighton are pulling away to. Jan Poortviet had won two games and drawn 3 this time last year, and all with a bunch of academy lads, in the Championship. Come 10 games I'd like to see if Pas Dieu can even equal Poortviet's number of points. We have the players, but our manager hasn't a clue how to use them. He keeps them on the bench, uses them when they're off form. What a waste he's made of Lambert. And it'll be the same with the rest of them. A whole f u ck ing new team of players and he doesn't know who to pick. And our supporters have become so used to using the phase, but such and such a team lost today so we're alright. We draw again today. It's what we do that counts. A bird(points) in the hand are worth two in the bush. Well those points are flying out the window faster than I'd be prepared to let them. Wake up Nicolas, get that Director of Sport in double quick and put some pressure on that Mark 2 version of Burley we have inherited. If players play better with competition, then managers should perform better with the same pressure. I just hope that seeing Pas Dieu's on a 5 year contract (what a farce!!) that he's got a 3 month trial period too.
  9. We need 12 points to get out of the f u c k ing bottom four.
  10. I still haven't read about Camara signing for anyone or coming to an agreement with Skates. Now they've signed Danny Webber from Sheffield Wednesday I guess Camara is still available. This is really one signing I'd like to see. He's 32 now and a 2-3 year contract is probably what he's after so with Waigo here he'd surely find such an offer interesting. We're not filling St Mary's, and to do so we have to start consistantly winning, playing attractive football, OR signing players who excite and are an attraction in the team. I'm certain a player like Camara would add an additional 4 or 5000 to the gates.
  11. This story isn't just in the Mirror. It's in the Daily Mail, been reported on Tribalfootball. Coppell is just the right person for the post and shows real ambition from Nicolas Cortese. Now go and get Camara before he's stupid enough to sign for Pompey. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1211812/Southampton-want-tempt-Steve-Coppell-director-football.html?ITO=1490
  12. This is terrible news if he signs for the bar stewards. A one year contract to play in another relegation battle. We should be offering him a 3 yr contract to play for us with his good mate Papa Waigo. Come on Pas Dieu, make us proud and scupper the deal and sign him.
  13. FFS! After yesterday's game, the signing of a player of Camara's standing becomes an absolute necessity. Firstly in order to score goals, and therefore win matches. Secondly in finding an attractive player who will bring back the crowds to the Stadium. Failure to do so will result in a disaster all round. Just how much have we actually spent out since Marcus Lieherr took over? No one has done a count of the spending by the new owner. I don't think anything beyond what we've obtained through the sales of Dyer, McGoldick and Surnam. In fact less. I thought we were going to see investment in the team. So it's time for Cortese and Liebherr to stump some cash to bring in Camara for a start. We don't even have a board of Directors still and the last remnant of the Lowe, Crouch and Wilde era still sits twiddling his sums in the Accounts office. We must spend and spend now. Exisiting is not what the supporters awaited from the Liebherr takeover. Let us live and live now.
  14. Well said Gemmel. I note the change in tone of Pas Dieu in the after match interviews. A few weeks back he was telling the players it was time to deliver. Well, Mister Nicolas Cortese, I'd like to hear a similar statement asking Mister Pas Dieu to deliver too. His tactics and team selections are abominable. His substitutions defy logic. How many players more before we get a win? We are worse off today that the seasons start. 12 points needs to get out of the bottom four and further and further off the top clubs. It's not good enough and when you look to the likes of Bournemouth, Swindon and even Brighton winning today it's a disgrace we could beat a team with 10 men and their Central defender taken off. A full side today and Colchester would have gone home with 3 points. Stand up and deliver Pas Dieu.
  15. That is a load of bull. He was one of the players that wanted to stay, and stating at the time his time at Saints was one of the happiest in his career. Lowe wasn't prepared to sign him, at the time I think we'd have had to pay 2 million when Lowe was halving salaries, selling all the top players. He's a very sensitive guy, a devout Christian, leads a clean existance, and whenever the supporters got behind him he put everything into his game. Several clubs the supporters treated him terribly during a time when he was injured and again the refusal to return to Wolves. At that time he was a top player in the International team. He's 32 now and a decent contract offer, especially seeing his mate Papa Waigo is now at the club and I'm certain he's return here. This is the type of player with our new financial clout that we should be signing to fill the stadium and get us moving in the right direction.
  16. Jaidi's signing was announced on Tuesday to appease the masses who would have been up in arms had we not signed anyone. It was always going to take another 3 weeks to have him playing. Please recall that we didn't know anything about Papa Waigo till Wednesday, neither did the club, hence the panic of announcing the Jaidi deal. This is the Holy month of Ramadan and Jaidi's permit will surely not appear till it's all over. But what do I know in the face of such higher intelligence of the SCITK's?
  17. I'm estatic to read the news that we've signed Senegal's right wing/striker Papa Waigo N'Diaye, when his national team room mate is none other than a certain left wing/striker......Henri Camara. No wonder the wrist band. Camara is a free agent, and still to find a contract. Anything Notts County can do, Saints can do better! Woweeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!![-o
  18. Henri Camara is out of contract and a free agent. To my knowledge he hasn't signed for anyone yet. The Jaidi deal is already lined up and only waiting the work permits. For me Camara would really be the icing on the cake, and a job saver for Pas Dieu.
  19. The Germans are really into Celtic Rock music as I pointed out last year when I posted about the Irish American group "The Kelly Family". They're really big over there so I'd love to see our own "COAST" do well too. Well done trousers for posting this story but somewhat disappointed at the response for our supporters in getting COLOURS to number One. We're more interested in Skates and unimportant issues. This is a great chance and shows what a big family Marcus Liebherr's family are in Germany You can revote every 6 hours so with a big effort we can easily put COLOURS to number One. Go for it lads, and you can also rate all the Saints videos of the song at Youtube too whilst you're at it. Southampton Boys Song
  20. WISE( another hint!!!) words NORM. Just look where all the past hatred and mockery got us. What goes around, ay, comes around and time our supporter base grew WISE and let karma take it's own course where others are concerned. So much for us having a new owner, a new start, being debt free, as far as the supporter base and our forums go we're sinking to the lowest ebb we've even been. At this rate I ask myself when we will ever rise up and be Saints supporters who smile back and just like the ducks let water run off theirs back. Saint's we've been but sadly nowadays Saints we're not!
  21. I just can't get away from the profound feeling that Pas Dieu is just another Burley. I look at his mutterings, his style, team selections, dismal substitutions and his past and the resemblance is astounding. Pas Dieu took 3 years to get Reading out of this league, and then walked. Just look at how terrible Readings results were in his first full season in charge there. We don't have time, we're 5 years behind schedule as it is. Burley wanted 5 years and so does Pas Dieu. All they both want is a comfy, secure, well paid job to keep them in work. He should have been put on a rolling one year contract like Lambert has at Norwich. I hated Wotte but I'm convinced he'd be getting better results and that's what worries me.
  22. Smiled when I read the following today as it's just the thing that Saints have to learn, and learn fast. Speaking of Dennis Wise and how he had a hard time with the Leeds supporters for being a Londoner: "In the only tranquil period enjoyed by Dennis Wise at Elland Road, Leeds United perfected the art of striking late and hard. Wise's most successful squad was the collection of players who, at the start of the 2007-08 season, displayed a phobia for defeat and were none too enamoured by the price of draws either. That unique spell – played out against the backdrop of the 15-point penalty imposed on the club by the Football League – was characterised by United's habit of mustering crucial goals with no room to spare." In our case for the past 5 years or more, it's just the opposite. So perhaps Monsieur Pas Dieu could arrange for the Wise one to come along as a Consultant to show our lads just how to perfect the same mentality.
  23. This was the game Pardew told the players they had to win. Well, they didn't and we're further off the bottom four places than at any time in our history. It's not minus 10 points to zero but the need to get 12 points to get out of the bottom 4 relegation berths. 22 points off the top two places. And there are idiots on here saying that things are improving. Don't make me p i ss myself laughing! One year ago the same optimists were saying "JAN CAN COOK" and a year before "GEORGE CAN TELL NO LIES" Well I'm telling them that ALAN CAN'T BAKE and we're being roasted alive! We have the players but we have a half baked manager who's marketing himself as BURLEY MARK 2. It just ain't good enough and even WOTTE or JAN would have done better with the squad we've got. They didn't have the luxury of the big bucks owner. My heart bleeds for Jan as there were few as honourable as that guy at the clun. Alan Perrin, Alan n'est PAS DIEU. Just look at the clowns he's brought in as a backroom team. Not enough time? He's supposed to be a pro, he's got all he wants, a billionaire backer, a super club, a top academy, first class training facilities, a superb stadium, a top class supporter base, and a squad of more than capable players. It's not right, he's got it all wrong and ****ing off players rather than motivating them. Gone by the end of November. Even Wigley had more chance of survival. And where is the big surprise that Nicolas Cortese promised 3 weeks ago when he said the supporters would be over the moon with what was planned in two weeks. Even Brighton are beginning to do better, and in League the Cherries are in the top 3 without a penny to spend. Disgusted and disillusioned.
  24. Ever since our supporters began using "WOOT" the team has played crap, we've been relegated twice. I shudder with pain every time I see it posted during a game. We need to win today. We sit needing 12 points to get out of the bottom four relegation places and falling further and further behind the top 6. "COOT"
  25. Perhaps DPS, as previous pre match announcements and signings of new players has resulted in complete lack lustre performances by our players, they've finally learned the lesson. I'm sure we shall hear of new signings before Tuesday and loans thereatfer if necessary. Were this not to be the case then we're all doomed and another titantic like ending in view. Don't forget, Pardew has yet to pick a winning team which I've been convinced he could have.
