I have just received an email informing me there is huge problem facing Southampton Football Club if they attempt to play under the name. Being considered by the Football League in Administration they require permission and the licence to play as Southampton Football Club. Does this include friendlies? If they should appear as Southampton Football Club without prior permission and licence they will be under threat of a further points deduction. Can anyone enlight further on the matter and if correct what do, or have, the so called Directors of Southampton Football Club done about it? PS That is not Eric Clapton in that photo, it's Stevie's elder brother Muff Spencer.

The jist of the takeover failure and why they can't pull it off is finally out in the open. No wonder new consortiums are appearing by the hour along the south coast. Forget about your Yachts in the Solent, think about those well tanned legs of a Pussy Cat Doll, a Swiss exil Formula One Racing Driver who's second love is football who drives for McClaren and travels in a Swiss registration Land Rover. Aha! Artovision knows all about what's inside those brown paper envelopes and how they travel around Europe. Why does not one ask where Mister Redknapp is spending these early days of July. Why he's agreed to let Garth Bale go out on loan for the season, yet fools on here seem to think a loan gets a sell on payment. I am beginning to wonder if we're not selling off all the players in an exercise to pay off all the football club creditors namely Barclays Bank. This would in effct ensure that the club is solvant and a separate entity as far as the Football League and any further points deductions are concerned. Whether it would convince them is another matter. I would be interested if someone has the statistics of showing where Saints have stood in the Fair Play League the past 5 years. At one time we were near the top but don't think since Burley arrived that's been the case.

Matt Le Tissier has previously been mentioned as being linked to the Swiss bid, something I mentioned last week. However, I can't get enthusiastic about anything that's printed in the Daily Echo anymore. "Hitting the ground running" they say, but with the kind of points deductions we face, no one is going to hit the ground running. No manager is going to join us facing such adverse odds. If a greater points deduction than 10 points is the case then we would be better to request immediate relegation to League Two and a clean slate. In so doing we'd be better placed come the end of the season with a reasonable chance of being in League One than another season in hell. I'll repeat once again that we need to bring in no nonsense team of DENNIS WISE and GUS POYET to stand any chance progressing. Failing that we might as well two finger everyone and apply to join the Blue Squad League. Nice to see Norwich sympathising with our dilemma though.

I believe someone and possibly that includes Pinnacle too, is playing brinkmanship since Fry made his statement last week. I would go as far as to suggest Leon Crouch as he confirmed he is part of the Pinnacle bid. But perhaps this was his, or their game plan all along. The sticking point with Pinnacle is to get an assurance that there would be no further points deductions. I believe once this was assured their plan would swing into action with, for example, Leon Crouch. If Fry carries out his threat to wind up the club then surely we will have a Leeds type situation. This would then present a situation where the sale price or price acceptable by the creditors would spectacularly drop. In steps Leon Crouch, does a deal with Fry for small change and Pinnacle's orginal plan will have succeeded. However, at the same time, nothing is to stop others such a Comrade Lowe and the Wicked Wilde doing something similar. Somehow, I'm coming round to seeing such a scenario. Thoughts, anyone?!
-
It's not a very nice pill to swallow, especially at this time, but it was the refusal of Rupert Lowe to offload players that resulted in Barclays pulling the rug from under our feet. So, for once, even the villain Lowe wasn't up to making the decisions that Mr Fry has caved in and done.

Just appeared online 10 minutes ago. It would appear for Pinnacle it's all over now baby blue. I don't think I can feel any worse after one considers all the years we've followed Saints only to be fobbed off by con men and our good players being sold off as a result. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1196353/Southampton-accept-Wolves-1-5m-bid-Surnam-McCarthy-targets-Monacos-Leko.html

If their business is based in the UK there is no reason why some company members aren't living here and driving Swiss registration Range Rovers. Those that arrived last week may have been the kingpins who came to confirm their interest whereas those with the Range Rover may be those who are doing the negociating. Nice to hear they were at St Mary's bright and early though.
-
That is incorrect. The Swiss consortium entered into the picture after Pinnacle had been offered exclusitivity.

Pull the other leg! You should have said that inexperienced well wishers will more than likely only ensure the club falls once again into Administration and further relegation. Money doesn't necessarily buy success. Let's wait and see first if the deals go through, and then who might be the choice of manager.
-
This needs a tough, no nonsense manager and for that we need the one manager capable of putting together a strong squad, quickly wiping out the points deficit and getting in with a chance of promotion. For me the one person capable of this who is available is DENNIS WISE. If money's no hold back then pair him up with Gus Poyet.

It is very sad indeed when the club has a Trust and a number of supporters groups, who hounded our previous chairmen and board members. Yet, to date, as far as I can recall, haven't stepped up, or, made any representation or requests to the Football League about our plight, or about requesting their help in resolving the points issue, or, any other issue, that has cropped up during this period of administration. Individuals have written or emailed the League, but again I've yet to see any replies. With whom lies the problem? The League, in not replying, or the supporters for not communicating on the subject?
-
No way, you say? There is one manager, one very capable manager if offered the funds and support that is more than capable of overturning even a minus 25 point deficit. I personally believe he is the only one currently available who could do that job. His name is DENNIS WISE, a Saint who wanted the job, who's gained much experience since then and would be the man to take us forward.

Alors, who is completely quackers? Certainly not Guided_Missile or myself.. Why, the misrepresentation of Pinnacle is more than likely to be waiting on the completion of the sale of the Rust Bowl in order to get any further with purchasing St Mary's. No wonder the Football League have put their oar in due to conflict of interest. Gaymarec never wished to pay out for a new Rust Bowl but his North London cultural partnerssee an easy option in merging clubs and using St Mary's. How long did Sheiki baby say it would be to complete his takeover? Another two weeks? Mandarec Duck is indeed showing who are twooly quackers whilst Harry and he have shot Saints well and truly through the foot this time.

The Echo have done some more digging and updated their article on Michael Fialka. He and his brothers company had a turnover of 51,000 quid last year. Confirmation from sources of other info. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/4460885.More_details_emerge_of_Fialka_s_background/

Respectfully Spencer, "North London Yobbos" comes to mind and I quote a certain Harry Redknapp when he said: "Saints will be all right, a good friend of mind is about to step in and purchase them"!!! A case of "Out of the frying pan and into the fire". or perhaps "Better the devil we knew than the devil we don't and won't know." A well known psychologist wrote:" Never trust a person who wears mirror reflecting sunglasses for the eyes are the window of the soul and anyone who'd wish to conceal their soul cannot be trusted" I refer, Spencer, to a photo of your good friend, Mr Lynam in yesterdays Daily Echo, seen taliking to our Saints staff behind such sunglasses. Fellow Saints supporters, I would rather that we two finger the Football League, all those who have fed us lies and deceipt that has brought us to this sad day, and start over anew, completely anew, in the Blue Square League, but free, with a opportunity to rise out of the mire, without the burdens that the League and others would hang upon us. We shall return to the Top flight far quicker than to end up like Luton, who have continued to go in the opposite direction, whose financial stability went from bad to worse. FREEDOM! The Blue Square League but capable of rising again with pride, and as true and free men of Southampton, living in the spirit of what our city was founded upon. We shall now bow down, be beaten!

Fry has given Pinnacle until 5pm Thursday to finalise. We are no nearer than last Friday, in fact, they are complicating the matter every statement. All Pinnacle are doing is wriggling out of a deal, searching for a way to recuperate their money from the League claiming they were misled and the League have made it impossible for them. Fry will announce at 6pm that he has now given exclusivity to another group and that's the end of Pinnacle. They were and are nothing more than one big fraudster like I posted 2 days ago.
-
I would lay odds that the something not quite right is, a conflict of interest in the money or people behind the deal. He earlier stated that it is imperative that they have the right people and I believe this is the problem with the League and not the minus ten points. As pointed out, the minus ten points is a red herring.

Ben Steel and Quenton Hubbard visited St Mary's from Guernsey on the 29th April. Property Developers who claimed they would buy St Mary's and Saints. Put in an offer and didn't want diligence.
-
I'll give you a clue, dumbwits. (The Farmer excluded) Steel + Quinton + Jersey + Visit to St Mary's to see Mark Fry in first week of Administration.

6 Weeks ago Peter Reid was leading a D.I.C. consortium who were reported interested in buying Everton. I said at the time maybe this is our myster owner and then all went quite. Yesterday it was reported Peter Reid is being lined up as manager. Could it be that D.I.C. are our new owner afterall. That the reason they don't want to be known is that if the Saints deal falls through, they would still be able to have another try for Everton. Or maybe D.I.C. is just using the Saints bid to prepare for their purchase of Everton?

Oh no!?? Just how many years did Matthew le Tissier let the likes of Rupert Lowe pull the wool over his eyes and con him then? How long did he remain under contract he signed with the said Lowe?? Matt's as naive and gullible as us all and have been taken in, and sunk, hook, line, and sinker. And yes, I did notice Matt's name added to the Swiss offer in tonights Echo article. Getting involved with the likes of Crouch, Lowe, Wilde or any of those criminals who administered this club, those, who, together, brought our club into this situation in the first place, is beyond belief and will just take us down the same road over again. I love Matt as much as the next Saint but honestly, he should not have got involved in what he doesn't understand. To have the likes of Crouch advising him shows he's not up to being a Chairman. Club President fine! As I previously pointed out, even Ted Bates wasn't as naive and gullible to accept the job of Chairman. Matt has and can easily get involved with things that like us all, he wants to belief will resolve things. Sadly he's been taken in and used like we all have when Wilde arrived, when Crouch preached that Allen was coming and when this mystery unnamed entity bluffed him and us all into a merry go round in the month of May.:mad::mad:
-
The mere fact that Crouch has been involved shows that Pinnacle and Tony Lynam are deceiving us, deceiving Fry and deceiving the League. This is an identical scenario of Crouch and Co spinning us out for weeks on end that a deal was forthcoming, then handing over to Lowe and Wilde. Mark my words, this deal is one almighty FRAUD. Get on with the other offers Mark Fry and as for us supporters we are going to get no news for weeks now.:mad::mad:

Split the difference and have done with it. The Football League can save face and announce that they feel they were justified in deducting the 10 points according to Administration regulations, but that new information has come to light and they agree Southampton Football Club was in many ways separate from the holding company ". .............as a result we, the Football League, have decided to an amical agreement and 5 points will be deducted in return for Southampton's new owners agreeing not to take the case to court. AMEN"

Nigel Pearson MLT's first choice?? where did that come from?
ART replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
I think a class act and possibly one of the reason's Matty was confering with Kevin Keegan would be Denis Wise. A Saint, one who desperately wanted the managers job after Harry left. He refused to kow tow to Lowe, left and went on gained fantastic experience, not only at Swindon but at Leeds in League Oner with minus 17 points. After he has had top experience working in an executive role with the likes of Keegan. He knows a good player when he sees one. Not exactly a smooth ride but one in which he fought on against northern prejudice, and will have learned one hell of a lot. Wise, for me, is just the former Saint that we need at this time.
