  1. go on,put the mockers on it
  2. I stand by my statement. The russians or chinese would have vetoed the resolution if the americans had not been publicly seen to be reluctant about the action, and I'm convinced that Cameron and Obama realised that. There was an interview on R4 this morning when pretty much the same thing was said, I think by jeremy corbyn.
  3. Do you owe anybody money?

I cant remember the name of the pub, but as you go along the main road in woolston, before you get to obelisk road, theres a place on the bend on the right. I nipped in there for a pint a few months back, christ did I feel uncomfortable in there. That was a weekday afternoon as well. That area is getting really ropey these days, youre right.
  7. Dont they scramble the chanting with some electronic trickery? so you cant hear the swearing? A bit like the swear filter on here, but in audio form hahahaaa

Notice how many bouncers the Bridge has nowadays on a friday/saturday night? They almost seem to outnumber the punters.
  9. Agree more or less, but that lad Osbourne had a right poke with his cut-in and left foot shot, plus that through ball that Kelvin had to sprint out and head from outside his area gave me a cold sweat. Overall tho, we were well worth the three points.
  10. Nope. The yanks "stayed" out of the UN resolution because they knew full well that if they were seen to be backing it, in the light of the Iraq fiasco, it would never get through. They "came on board" at the last possible moment so that it could go through. All the apparent hesitatation and prevarication was pre-planned. Obama and Cameron played their cards very close to the chest, and pretty well imho.
  11. You can always trust the iranians.... on a side note, its sometimes worth going with your gut instinct about things. A mate of mine is in thailand on a months holiday at the moment, probably nuts deep in some ladyboy hahahaaa, he had a trip to japan booked as he hasnt been there before. Had a hotel in Tokyo arranged and flights booked, his mate said lets stay here, I cant be bothered with the trip, my mate reluctantly agreed. They were due in Tokyo the day befor the earthquake hit. I was phoning and texting him for two hours before he managed to get back to me to say theyd cancelled it.
  12. with the way the middle east is going right now phil, I'd be checking the headlines pretty carefully before booking the return flight.
  13. from caddyshack, danny the caddy talking to Ty the club rich guy on a putting green; "I got to get this scholarship, or I'll be working in the lumberyard all my life." Ty; " whats wrong with lumber? I own two lumberyards" Danny; "I notice you dont spend much time there." Ty; "well, I'm not sure where they are..."
