  1. i actually quite like it and think it is pretty good for awhile. When you put a lot of time into the levels they can be quite interesting. However i do think it is a game that has not matched the hype some people expected for it. It is more of a family game. Would seem more at home on the Wii i think. And people said i dont say nice things about the ps3
  2. Well you would think after 1 win in 10 games, 3 points from the last 21, 4 loses in a row, 1 win in 12 at home etc etc we could be facing a complete pasting to in form Reading. But it would not surprise me one bit to see Reading fail to turn up again and we flukely win once more against them. We have a few players out but Lallana might recover to play. Smith might also recover from his cramp and Pearce is not allowed to play. One thing that is certain is if we lose we will have ammased an awesome total of 1 point from 18 in the month of december. Which will beat our impressive total of 2 points from 15 in the month of october! But dont worry Wilde thinks it is encouraging! So everything is geared up for us to lose! And that is why i am going for a win because not all the games go as you would expect. A 1-0 win to us in a game where we have 1 shot on goal and they have about 300 with Davis making some of the best saves we have seen again. Then after the game Jan will come out with Lowe and say how amazing our team is once again! Even though that would still only be 6 points from the last 24...(25%). Either that or we really will get a pasting!
  3. i actually think were beat Reading. We will then go on to lose against teams like Doncaster etc.. but were have the 2 wins over Reading as the defence of the regime. I can see it now. We lose 4 in a row, win one game from 10, lose to Forest at home etc.. it is written that we will win i think then Lowe and Wilde will come out from under their rocks bigging up how great we are and were beat United etc.. Reminds me of when we drew with Arsenal in our relegation season.
  4. Right now the crowd is not helping the team avoid relegation because the manager is not helping the players or fans. What is certain is if we continue as we are we will get relegated then will go bankrupt and then go into admin. Then in league one we will have a even poorer squad with a minus 10 or even 15 start meaning just staying in league 1 becomes difficult. If Lowe leaves the attendances will go back up. It wont be a fall house, nowhere near it. But it will be at least another 4k or so a game. So boycott will help the club to remove the one person who evidentily keeps making stupid mistakes. 2 years Lowe was not here. We got to the playoffs when the club was settled and then avoided relegation on the last day. We were set to go on from there. We have now gone back into the freefall, this time it will be much harder to avoid. We have 22 games left. We have to win 8 of those to just get back on 50-50 par. Can you see us winning 8 games with this set up? That is why things have to change.

    Jans verdict

not really sure 3 points from the last 21 is ok but i take your point and agree with the slagging players off, he cant do that. But he needs to stop looking for excuses. He seems to watch a different game to the rest of us and should take the blame for his mistakes which he keeps making. If we make mistakes we hold our hand up and say my bad. He doesnt then will just make the same one over and over. That is a sign of a poor manager. Managers are supposed to look at teams and use what they have to counter-act the opposition, as far as i can tell he has lost pretty much all of the tactical duels. He simply wont change it due to his own beliefs in football, but his perception of that is wrong. He thinks we play attacking football when i would say we play ultra defensive football, negative football, nervous football, amateur football. Look in contrast to say Pearson. Take the 5-0 game against Hull. A team that where in titan style form crushing everyone in their path and we got turned over. If you read Pearsons remarks for all games you see stuff like this "I am embarrased,if we play like that again we will be relegated, that is reality. We never compeated and never got to grips with their game plan at all. I take full responsibility. It was my team so it was my fault. They reflect me and im not happy at all. There is losing and there is the way you lose, that was unaceptable. All i can do is say sorry to our fans and tell them i will try to put it right, starting with our next game". After that he went and got 9 points and we only ever lost by a goal after that and only conceeded 2 in a game. Now it is unfair of me to compare the two but Pearson's response is very honest and very true. You can sense the guy cares but cares so much that he will try something else if things dont work. Where as Jan to me just seems like a con artist, someone who thinks were all stupid. We have had 39 goals scored against us with 10 goals scored against us in just our last 4 games (with only 2 scored). But yet the guy keeps talking about how well were playing and that were unlucky. He should be coming out saying "yeah i fooked up, my bad" after all these poor results but more importantly looking for ways to change it. He is obviously not doing that. He just doesnt accept any of the blame and he is to blame for most of it. He lacks any decency in my view. Jan is a nice guy, he just doesnt know football, doesnt know how to be a manager in the pro leagues.
  6. Firstly because supposedly Lowe is choosing the team/tactics. He tells Jan what he can and cant do. If the reason we are stuck on 4-5-1 is because of Lowe then by removing him means the manager can manage. Or the next manager can manage. Dont you find it slightly wierd that we have no money but yet can afford to employ jan and his 6 coaches, a whole host of loan players and the signings we have already made this year? On top of the getting £1m for Davies and having 3/4 high wage players out on loan? Make no mistake of it we are in financial **** but there is money being used and it is being used wrongly. A good manager can get good results from **** players. That is what the majority of managers do at this level. Not every team is fortunate to spend millions on players.
  7. interesting that you and a few others have picked him for our best player. I thought he was pretty poor to be honest. Was unsure what his role was meant to be because i dont recall many if any crosses from the by line. Sometimes i felt it was BWP in disguise when he does the cut in field then lose the ball thing. Im not being too critical of the lad as he has hardly played any games at all. But i think Holmes and Smith have the same problem as lots of the others, just dont seem to have many options when on the ball, nowhere to go and no-one to pass to, need more support from the front man and from the central midfielders. If i had to rate him from 1 to 10 i would give him a 5. My choice for best player would of been Davis again.
  8. The thing with the going to the game then turning your back suggestion is i know majority of people will actually turn back about 30 seconds later. An official boycott of the game is more of a message saying "we wont pay money while Lowe is here". The banks will get twitchy and possibly put pressure on the board to remove him. At the end of the day Lowe is trying to run the club as a business for the shareholders 1st, he is not the owner of the club, puts no money into the club etc.. he is just an employee of SLH. If the fans show unity and actually do boycott a game that will show the people at the club and the people over looking the finances that if he remains they will not get paid. Will the board/bank/staff etc.. show the same level of support back to Lowe after that boycott? Would they continue to stand by him while the money drips away? I very much doubt it. If Lowe had any decency he would of resigned the moment he decided to take down the fa cup picture and replace it with a train from Doncaster...But he has no decency, none what so ever. He is a sad little man who will forever leach the lifeblood from the club.

  10. Agree with CB Fry. That is the best option thus far. Maybe something like all go to the stadium but not actually enter and all sit down near the Ted Bates statue. If we could pull that off would be very symbolic, however i doubt the Lowe SS would let that happen.

  12. Actually looking at http://www.soccerbot.com/fa/results/ukprem05x.htm?Team=Southampton SW is right that in TOTAL our first 25 games of the season our 04/05 season was actually a worse start. It is in fact our worst HOME record. Thankfully not the entire one because if we had less then 18 we would be bottom! The next few games are vital though as in the 04/05 season we actually went on to get 9 points from the next 5 games to mean 27 points at the 30 game mark.

  16. Think your find it is. When we drew 1-1 with Weds that was our worst home record since 1920 when we started league football. Since then we have gone on to lose 4 straight games to take the entire record now too. We find ourselves on 21 points from 25 games which is officially our worst run since we entered the league. You might not like it, might not agree with it but that is the facts. We have never been in as dire situation as we find ourselves in now. I went to the game today and i have been to majority of games this season. I can tell you right now this is the worst Saints side i have ever seen. Im not just saying that because of the results, im saying it because that is what they are. Football is about getting the ball into your opponents box and putting the ball in the net. While stopping the opponents getting the ball in yours. That is the aim of the game. We have failed to score in 11 of our games (out of 25). The team we have simply cannot play football. Passing the ball from one to another 35-40 yards away from the opponents goal does not mean they play good football. It means they can pass the ball, would you not expect a footballer at the very least to be able to do that? What happens after that is what matters and we have done nothing and looklike doing nothing. We do not get down the flanks and cross, we do not pile bodies in the box, we do not have anyone capable of holding the ball up, we have no-one capable of getting pass a player. Like Smith and Holmes today, everytime they get the ball they run about 2 meters then cut inside and loft the ball up which gets taken by the defender or keeper with ease. Any of us could do that. Passing does not make a good team. If football was a game based on getting the ball to halfway then a few yards into the opponents half then back to your own half again we would be world champions. Last years poor team were actually 13th this time last year.

  18. also he rested players like Euell and BWP etc.. today so the team on sunday will be different again too. I am going back on something i once said "anyone can do better then Burley". Nope i was very very wrong. There is at least one guy who could do worse.

  20. Nothing to say that has not been said for the past few months. Players not knowing how to go forward, how to defend and how to shoot. Had 1 shot on goal the whole game where as KD made loads of good saves. Im sure people will say we were unlucky but the truth is for all our possesion as always we did nothing. Plymouth were 2-0 up and did what all the teams have done at that point and simply switch off. They were crap and couldnt be arsed but we still couldnt produce anything. Add to that Jan is a gutless idiot with no balls who decided changing tactics from 1 up front to 1 different guy up front....again. The guy says we cant play any different way, well cheers for trying then Jan, we appreciate your experience and insight but lets give someone else a try hey. Do the noble thing and **** off as you are now officially the worst manager in our history and have presided over our worst result sequence in our history. Resign or things will start getting heated and i gurantee you if you came to the pubs i go to you would not be getting an easy ride. 3 points from 21 on offer is **** poor and the only reason we are not in the drop zone is because teams below us have not taken advantage of it. But that 5 points gap has turned into a 1 point gap. 4 defeats in a row and 13 defeats from 25. Anyone else did that at any other club/business/job they would be out. But you wont be fired due to Lowe not being able to accept he would be seen as making a mistake, he cant handle that. JAN OUT - WILDE OUT - LOWE OUT

  22. Congratulations to Jan/Lowe and Wilde for contributing to our worst run of games in our entire league history. The sad thing is they all believe they are actually doing good....
  23. Plymouth have Fallon and Mpenza back so would not be surprised at all if there was a rout. Plymouth has a very traditional ground where the pitch is small and the crowd seem like they are on the pitch, reminds me of the dell sort of. It will be tough and we will have to show our physical side not our tip tap then run nowhere side. I think we can get something if we go into the game with the right attitude. Go in with the attitude from our last 3 games and it will be 4th defeat in a row. For me this is the crunch game. Lose and i expect Jan to resign if he has any decency. If we draw/lose we will officially have the worst season at the 25 game mark in our entire history in league football. And will most likely drop into the bottom 3 due to Forest playing Doncaster. There is no way he nor Lowe can come out and spin it round if that happens. Anyone with a record of 13 loses in 24 games and just 5 wins cannot continue like that. He has had a full pre-season and had over 6 months. He has had the time needed. So must win game Jan or you will start getting booed even more. So i think were win 0-1 in a very poor game similar to when we played them at home a few weeks ago.
  24. Compleatly agree. Not his biggest fan but at least he is trying to do something where as 99.9% of us are doing feck all about it and wont attempt to do feck all about it.
  25. I had heard pretty much what Saint Clark has just said. Davis loves this club and loves the fans. He has gone from zero to hero in a season where heroes are few and far between for us. I have only ever spoken to Davis once but my opinion was he was a genuinely nice guy and you would never get the impression he was a modern football player. If he leaves it will be down to us having no choice. But Lowe said a few weeks ago players who dont want to leave dont have to. Lets see if Lowe stays true to his word or sells us down the river once again.
