  1. As much as i want this to be true i'm pretty sure it isn't. Crouch dislikes Lowe but he hates what Wilde did. I cannot see at all him coming back and working with the two of them. He will be the first to tell you that he is not capable of being a modern day football chairman so that would lead me to believe he is not seeking that spot. The only thing which i can see happening is either Lowe or Wilde selling up before they lose their shares for nothing if we go down. The question becomes then who? Wilde would be the obvious one. His company is in dire straights and he knows his reputation has been tarnished with the community. He is yet to see the anger of the fans directed his way, once he does he will leave. He always felt he was loved by the fans and seen as a saviour, for him to see he is hated as much as Lowe will in my view make him leave, he is a coward and this has been shown many times. So Wilde needs the money the question is then how bad? But we will see for sure tommorow if Wotte is confirmed as manager in the longterm. Because if he is then it is all untrue. Crouch has been one of the most vocal at the dutch direction, he would not see placing the understudy to the previous manager in charge as something to feel confident about. Just as everyone else does. He would want british people in charge for sure.
  2. Right now i have not made any remarks about Wotte good or bad. Reason for that is we should at least see what he does before we criticise him. He could change the formation and selection/positions to what we all want and get results. Think we would all be happy with that. Or he could as probably most likely continue with the work him and his fellow Dutchman have started. If that happens then of course we are screwed and this could possibly go down as the second fatal decision by Lowe in just one season. Either way i'm still protesting next week.
  3. How come Nick was on SkySports earlier then? Still calling himself the Saints official spokesman to get on or was it something else this time? So how many "prophecies from Nick" (as me and my mates like to call them) are we at so far this year? First one was believe in Lowe coming back, he will put us in good finance. Second was that adopting a dutch foreign approach with a dutch manager is the way forward. Third was when it had gone wrong for the fans to remain positive, it will come good Fourth was when it was going so badly and people were questioning the tactics/manager/players to all get behind the team and cheer them on because victory comes from the atmosphere the supporters create. We then go on one of the clubs worst runs with the fans cheering them on. Fifth was when the obvious turn had tide on Jan to come out saying everyone should get behind him after his "double the efforts" meeting because he can get us out of the mess he put us in. Jan then resigns (or pushed whatever way you wish to look at it). Sixth comes out again saying Lowe is the man to help us push forward. Seventh comes out saying Hoddle could come back etc.. etc... So if you guess so many times basically by the laws of averages you have to get one right eventually right?
  4. "Wottes Lowe Got To Do With It" i'll get my coat
  5. Just like to point out we don't have a top 6 away form and as far as i'm aware never did In our 14 away games we have picked up 17 points, that puts us 12th http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/away.html Our last 5 away games we have seen 1 win 1 draw and 3 loses meaning we are currently 18th best away team http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/aform.html Were **** away and even ****er at home.
  6. I agree. I think it could be simply because he has no clue about English football. Have to remember he is used to 1000-3000 attendences in Holland, he has got clubs relegated before and im unsure if in the amateur leagues people are as vocal when things go pear shaped. As mentioned if he thinks the fans should be happy to be 2nd to bottom with 1 home win all season then he does not know the league nor the supporters at all.
  7. We need to get Boothroyd in now. Wotte has just as much experience in this league as Jan has and helped with the set-up we have, nothing will change with him the hot seat. I wish him luck but he has left us in a complete mess.
  8. Well not sure what to say. Seemed a nice guy but talked so much ******** and seemed to lack any football knowledge that i wonder why he was here in the 1st place. Its like me trying to fly a plane, i haven't a clue how to do that. So all the best Jan but if we are relegated you will take a lot of the blame. 28 games, 6 wins and only 1 at home all season. Cheers.
  9. 7 of our 9 home games are against teams in the top 10 chasing promotion. I think we might beat Charlton and Derby, massive games for us. Every game is massive now really.
  10. when i bumped it only 8 people had voted relegation, i think every season that is about to start we all have that feel good factor and hope things will be better. Majority of people felt this season could be no worse then the last.
  11. So then Scooby how are things going for your lord then?
  12. If anyone is wondering what he is on about it is a song by Madness called "Embarrassment". I think your find your the embarrassment Sundance, and your not a Saints supporter, because if you were you would understand why people think the way they are currently thinking. So here is a song just for you to sing to Lowe There is freedom within, there is freedom without Try to catch the deluge in a paper cup Theres a battle ahead, many battles are lost But youll never see the end of the road While youre travelling with me Hey now, hey now Dont dream its over Hey now, hey now When the world comes in They come, they come To build a wall between us We know they wont win
  13. The point is something is happening. There are groups set up all over with something like 1500 on the facebook one. This board represents but a tiny % of the fan base. Through word of mouth it is getting around the city and surrounding area. On the actual day you won't have tens of thousands joining the march, that will come later if things get worse. But for a starting demo to get anywhere near a few hundred protesters that is pretty good going. When the march actually gets to the stadium i have no doubt that a lot of people from the street who see it going by will join in, then combine with the fans at the stadium who i'm 99% certain a vast amount will be willing to join. For just 1 day of being planned to have as many people know about it as they already do is pretty amazing. That is the instant age we live in.
  14. Can only imagine how many points adrift at the bottom we would be if Davis had not been in the form he is. Lets hope he stays because we need him more then any of the others for sure.
  15. Welcome to the forum Secondly i would rather have real Southampton people running the club like the Corbetts,Crouch or McMenemy then your obvious employer Lowe. At least under them we were not in as dire situation we are now. With Lowe at the helm we will have someone new in charge next season simply because were be relegated then into admin. Think that will be the nail in the coffin you talk of. But hey you try it your way and do the "lets wait and see" approach. Your group screwed up, no if's no buts, no maybes, they have brought this club to its knees. Time for them to go. I would rather i was in charge then Lowe. Hell i bet i could probably run it better too, even Scooby could run it better!
  16. Think the admins deserve a bit of credit for putting this up. Recently there has naturally been a lot of anger on this forum aimed at those running the club. So maintaining a non biased stance for the website is a smart view. Especially when you think of this forum in years gone by. Organising an official demonstration is the right thing to do. I think it is very clear people such as Bungle who choose to do nothing are in the small minority. If we were above the relegation zone picking up wins both away but more importantly at home then more would agree. It is not some new thing that has all of a sudden gone wrong, we have won only 6 games in 28 all season. The last home win was in september almost 5 months ago. I just fail to see how anyone can look at those stats and feel it is ok. As i said it is not a new thing, not a knee jerk thing. The true fans of this club have done it proud over this season. While suffering they have remained silent in the hope the fortunes will change, that the people running the team and the club sort it out. In the 9 months that the manager and board have been here this club has clearly gone back into the freefall we were in prior to Burley leaving. A freefall that seemed stopped once we survived on the last day of last season. So there will be a lot of people wanting something to happen and being able to all put that energy into one big demonstration rather then lots of little demonstrations is much better. So i will be there and i urge those who feel enough is enough to be there also. The club needs you now more then ever. But once were at the game please get behind the lads, they need us too.
  17. If Southampton leisure Holdings 100% owns it then yes it will be sold off. All assets that can raise money to pay off our debts will be sold off. If the farm is only partially owned by SLH then i don't think it can be.
  18. Also be interesting to see the shares tomorrow. If there is some truth in it people will be bailing out now because if we go into admin they lose everything.
  19. Indeed. The contracts have to be honoured. But looking at previous clubs going into admin the players normally mutually agree to terminate. I think when your at that point you probably don't want to be around the club anymore, especially if there is a chance you wont be paid. If we say to them "look you can walk for free, we won't give you a penny but your free to move to another club for free and on a free transfer meaning you can join anytime etc.." i think a lot would take it and be free of the club. I remember the Luton situation when they lost loads that way.
  20. Yep 100% true. People seem to think once you go into admin someone turns off the lights and thats it. The admin team will keep the club running within its means but recoup the money owed by selling off assets (players/business' etc..). All the players who have a contract will be sold off or could potentially walk for nothing if it costs to much to pay them each week (cutting loses), for example if say Euell had a year left on his contract it would make more financial sense to terminate contract mutually then keep him here. Because each week you still have to pay him. So the longer it takes to find a buyer the more you pay.
  21. I think if you go into admin before March you get the 10 points deduction this year, if you go into admin after that you get it next year. Basically meaning if we go into admin before March were relegated for sure. And if we go into admin afterwards we will probably be starting life in league 1 with minus 10 points. If we are that close to admin then it makes more sense to go into admin now and accept relegation this year rather then risk it for 2 seasons in a row. As i said in another thread it is inevitable we will be going into admin simply because we are losing more and more money. The offers for players obviously have not come in and that was what Lowe was gambling on. He probably felt he could return to our club with no money, bring in a complete numpty as a manager on the cheap but sell a few players and then will be seen as the guy who saved our club if we managed to survive. Well looks like it failed on all accounts then. I really do wonder now if that it is true Lowe returned simply to get revenge on everyone.
  22. Ah i see it's an expression!
  23. So he wasen't trying hard before then?
  24. I'm shocked 23 people have voted for Jan, i guess only relegation will change their mind! Those who voted for Jan should be named and explain why he should be kept on. Everyone knows the reasons why people want him gone so would be nice to hear from the pro JP and hear the reasons why they think he can save us?
  25. In comparison to what Lowe and Wilde have done, nothing. He made mistakes but his mistakes didn't lead to us being relegated or worse off financially. He gave Dodd and Gorman the reigns but appointing assistants happens so often. He made up for it by getting Pearson. He got in Davies,Wright,Perry and Lucketti who all saved our ass last year. Crouch is normally blamed by the Lowe/Wilde supporters as having messed up.
