  1. The thing is having watched most of our games i actually think we have in most cases been the more lucky team. So many times this season i have seen world class saves by Davis that i think hmmm how the fook did he get that? I wonder if he has been taking something! Not just once in a match sometimes 3-4 times a match. We really really could of had some right tonkings this year and if Davis was not in the form of any keepers career we would of lost by so much more. In contrast at the other end very few if any games this season can i recall us dominating a game and pepering the opponents goal. Only 1 game i can honestly hold my hand up and say we deserved to win and that was the Reading away game. In so many other games we have been fortunate. The Doncaster game where we got a own goal and a penalty. The Derby game where we were getting destroyed and we had 1 shot and it went in. The Norwich game where we got that penalty. The Preston game when we had i think 5 shots and scored 3 with our winner being prety much the last kick of the game. There has been a lot of luck in other games where we failed to take advantage to i.e the Sheff game when they went 1 player down. If we look at it and try to not be biased i have to say we deserve to be where we are not because of luck but because of ability. The team is very very poor and the results show that. Question is that simply the because the players are playing to their level or because the coach/manager isn't getting them to their level?
  2. With Pullis double act?
  3. Have to say i fully agree. I didn't think the game itself was very good, was boring to watch and very predicitve. We had shots at goal but as always they either went miles over, miles wide or tamely into the keepers hands. We hit the post twice but the Euell rebound shot i think even Redknapps wife could of scored that one! The thing is when they went 1 up (they should of been 3-4 up by half time if it wasen't for Davis, again) you never really saw us getting back into it. And for me that has been our problem all season, we just lack that bit of specialness, that one player who can do a bit of quality and change the game, we have no-one able to do that. The defence i felt also played well but Wotten again had a bit of a wierd one for me, i admire his effort but the technical side just lets us down. The midfield were awful. DMG must been half dutch or something to keep getting games. In this history of this club i think he must be up there with our worst players. The managers comments i find interesting as he is doing what he is paid to do, tell a positive spin and make people keep the faith. But as you mention the passion from the players is not there, there is no team togetherness. Someone made a comment that maybe the team finally have come together but i have to question that on the displays we have seen. The fitness is a bit worrying for me, there are a lot of people playing their first full season in any league so i can sort of let them off a bit but it seems we have gone backwards from when Pearson took over and got the fitness up. Bristol deserved their win, it could of been by a bigger margine. The players we have are simply not good enough and i now feel the coaches are not good enough to. Wotte to me is sounding more and more like a mobile speaker for Lowe to pass on his propoganda. The problem is only a few if nobody is listening.
  4. Sorry if already posted "When we played Bristol City at home everyone said they were one of the best teams in the division. "When I saw them play, I thought we must be one of the best teams too." Funny as i remember that as being one of our worst games this season. All i can remember from that game was Gobern having 1 shot that went straight at the keeper and thats it. Or was he taking the **** saying Bristol are not that good?
  5. And it's Sold Cheers
  6. I think 1-1 but will lose ground again. But a draw would be a very good result for us. The worrying thing is if we don't get anything will mean teams like Watford will have 2 games in hand on us to pull further away.
  7. Thought if you exchanged games they give you more cash i.e store credit? I was in there the other day and saw i think Resistance 1 for about £7 to buy and MGS4 for like £10. I think that is cheaper then Game or any of those places? I have not seen what HMV are like but they exchange games now too, knowing them you have to pay them to take your games
  8. Have to say i loved it. Was only a brief demo but was awesome. I really like the physics of the game which make it feel like your guns are actually deadly, a lot of games don't get that right. The grenades are quality too and the magnum side arm was good. My only gripe other then it being too short was that Ricco reminded me a lot of Cole Train, even looks like him. The bit when you complete the demo and it does like a montage of the physics i.e people getting blown up was class. The controls are a bit iffy but i felt increasing the sensitivity by about 50% on both axis and changing to controls B so the fire button is r2 and not r1 was miles better. StreetFighter 4, KillZone 2 then Star Ocean 4 and Resident Evil 5 = a good month or so of gaming
  9. Was given 2 copies of this game so will keep 1 and sell 1 Still sealed so will sell for £20 recorded post, or if your anywhere near Bishops Waltham can always collect Can also pay by paypal if you prefer.
  10. When i sell my old games i normally take them to CEX in Southampton (or can do it online now). They seem to be quite good. If your after another game in particular they will give you more money on exchanges. For example if you sold Scene It to them they would of given you £8 cash or £12 towards exchanges for it. I swapped Singstar (got it free) for a couple of Blu-Ray films which i thought was a good deal. Also Blockbuster seem to be quite good for game exchanges now too, my mate swapped i think the brand new Sonic game for Metal Gear Solid 4 and Rainbow 6 Vegas. If only they did cheap Blu-Ray's! Although i think they are selling SF4 for £25 so i will forgive them.
  11. I don't but listening to what those who have seen the books say i think it is pretty certain. Dropping down a division means you cut off a gigantic slice of your income from the tv deal and from your gate receipts. If the money coming in is less that means the debt is paid off less. We already have that in this league, dropping another league will make it worse. It is simple maths, if your income is not matching your outgoing your get more and more into debt trying to keep up with it, until it gets to the point you can't pay it back. If we go down that will be the point for us. Other clubs are lucky in the sense they have someone who can help prop up the bills by putting money in i.e Leicester, we don't.
  12. Think thats a bit harsh mate. Most of the teams who have gone into admin seem to now have stopped their rot as such. Look at Hull. They were in admin in 2001 and look what happened to them after that. Saying people are divs for wanting it is a bit wide of the mark. I understand the process very well and the thing that makes me laugh the most is that the supposed doom mongers are the ones who claim to know the best. As i mentioned in my post earlier what is actually different from what is happening to the club now to what will happen if/when we go into admin? If we surive this season we have nothing to worry about for at least another year. However if we don't and we have not gone into admin before the deadline we will go into admin once it is confirmed we are down for sure. The club with the debts it has will not be able to pay them off and still operate in division one (technical division 3). Then when we start next season not only will we have had to sell off the crap players we have but we will start the season with a minus 10 points to start with. Just look at Bournmouth to know that is not something to take lightly. The thing with the Bradford remark is you are right. Bradford are a fine example of what happens when you continue to believe you can run a club with the income you have. The thing is it took Bradford many years to bounce back. But now they are 2 points from a promotion place, it is possible they could be promoted into league 1 while we are relegated to it. On that basis would you not say that they have started to go forwards again?
  13. The difference here is that John George was the founder and sole owner of the company. He has paid half a million to remain in control of the company while also agreeing to pay the cash owed to the banks and the customers. The big difference is that the guy obviously cares about the company and is trying hard to save it and the staff. The fact he will pay off the money owed himself is a big difference to what normally happens. If he didn't do that i doubt they would have given it to him. However by doing it that way means the company can get rid of a lot of debts by moving the assets to a new company. If/when we go into admin they will take a long look at Lowes history of running the books hence that is what they are interested in. I have no doubt they will see he himself as well as his associates have not put anything into the club and the only way they got investment was to get loans from the bank. All of which now have crippled us.
  14. Think we need to put a few things into perspective here. Lowe would not be given the club if we go into admin. His record will be 2 relegations in his last 3 years at the club. No court will release a company to someone who shows that level of mis-management. Add to that he has no money and has never put any money or gained investment into the club. If we go into admin we will see many people come out of the woodwork willing to buy the club because it will have no debts. It will look a better prospect to an investor then having to negotiate with lots of different people for their shares. The last thing the courts will want is to have to re-administrate the company again in a year or two. And with no money and the local population being hostile to Lowe that is what will happen. If he came in with some rich partner then that would be different but he has not done that in the 12 years he has been at the club so i don't see that changing one bit. Going into admin is not a punishment, the points deduction is the punishment. Right now this club is in admin in every way but title. We have had to sack a lot of staff, have had to cut player costs, manager costs, stadium costs etc etc the only difference is Lowe and Wilde get paid while if we were in admin they wouldn't. Now i'm not saying we should officially go into admin but if we are 10 points adrift we have to be honest and say we will not survive. I think a lot of us are nearing that realisation. If we could only win 6 of our games how will we win 50% of our 15 games that are left? Not very likely. If at that point admin guranteed we would be rid of Wilde and Lowe for good; and would mean we can stop the slide like Leeds did and teams like Hull before them did. Then again we have to be realistic and realise that taking the points deduction this year and being relegated is better then waiting to see if we survive then if we do get relegated then starting next year with a -10 start. So my opinion is that going into admin will actually not be any different to what we are currently suffering. We owe a lot of people money. The players we have are not worth what we think. The playing side to the club is the poorest it has ever been, the management side is the poorest it has ever been, the board is the poorest it has been, the attendence is the poorest it has been, the finances are the poorest it has been and so on and so on. If we drift further away from the teams above us then i would vote for going into admin and getting the people out of this club who have brought us here once and for all. This club will never go forward while they are here so the slide will continue. So i would wait for the next 3-4 games, see how they go. If we lose them and are around 10 points adrift i think we will have to accept we are down and going into admin will be the only way to stop the slide further.
  15. "And that shot was close by Mcgoldrick"
  16. "And BWP returned my mobile phone that i dropped on my way into the stadium" (i'm just kidding ) "And Saints manager Rupert Lowe is making a change, he is bringing on Cowen for Wotten and Jones for Surman. And he seems to be bringing himself on for Davis, he has a safe pair of hands"
  17. The other thing people who have a go at Pearson never mention is that in the previous 13 games before Pearson we got a massive 7 points. There was a guy on the radio who i think was a presenter on Radio Hampshire who said Pearson was not a good manager, he said it on air etc. Then some guy rang in and pointed that out that he got an almost 60% increase points wise then the previous 13 games, a period which was both Dodd,Gorman and Burley. He also pointed out we lost lots of players to loans and had a severe injury crisis etc. The radio guy just said "we'll i still think he was rubbish". And i think at that point i realised that not only was Radio Hampshire **** but a lot of people hate for the sake of hating. We could get someone in who wins every game we play but some would still want him out.
  18. That of course requires them to be logical. The fact one of them was a look out for a stealing session i would not say logic is at least one of thems strong points.
  19. And this is the problem. If what was said was true that the guy was jokingly asking them when they would start performing and they took offence to it then they deserve whatever they get. I recall being out on the town and seeing MLT after he missed his penalty, i said to him you should of put it the other side joking about and he laughed and told me i should of told him before. That is the difference. Guys like MLT are legends not because of what they do just on the field but what they do off it. The fact is BWP and DMG are not playing well and have to share some of the blame for their poor displays which have ultimatly put us in the situation table wise. Because of that they have to be seriously stupid if they feel they can go out and not expect people to question their displays in town. This is the real world, something i doubt either of them live in.
  20. While i agree with a lot of people about not burning them until we know the story etc But what i find slightly wrong is that a lot of you are assuming the guy who was beat up was drunk and was being abusive so thus he was asking for it. From what i can tell from the little info they have put up the guy was going home after going to collect a takeaway, of which it ended up on him. Is it not possible that he could be innocent and the actual 2 footballers could be to blame? The way i see it is people have judged the guy who got beat up because he was being abusive, the way things are with footballers these days i would not be surprised one bit if they were ****ed up and tried to act all hard by ganging up on some guy. Would not surprise me one bit.

It is true. The judge over seeing the case (not the admin team) will not just sell the company/club for the highest price. When the company is up for auction all the previous debts have been written off, it is a fresh start. The one thing the court will not want to see is the company coming straight back to them in a year or two. They will look at the bidders in terms of their ability to actually manage it's resources. Lowe and Wilde will not get the club simply because they have no money, if things go pear shaped again they have already proven they can do nothing to halt the slide. A good example of how it could go is Bates at Leeds. He was not the highest bidder but he won it because he has history of putting his own cash into his clubs. He has now done that at Leeds and they are on the up again, maybe even back into the CCC next year. Their days of sliding down are over for now. With our club i think your be surprised how many people come out of the woodwork and show interest in buying the club when there are not lots of people to pay off for their shares.
  22. Plus also Ted was assistant manager when we won the cup.
  23. Ted without a doubt. Was before my time but being a supporter means more then just knowing what happened this week. The guy did so much for us, taking us from the old division 3 south to the first division (now called the premier league). He brought in legends like Channon,Paine and Davies etc.. getting the club into europe twice. LM comes a close 2nd but winning an fa cup to me would not have happened without what Bates did.
  24. I can answer this question i think When an EGM has been called i don't think people in control are allowed to make decisions like appointing a new manager etc.. I could be wrong but with other businesses if i remember right that is how it goes. Because the guy who is about to be kicked out could be spiteful and screw up the company because of being removed. On the other question i know for 100% fact that Pearson was informed by Crouch that if he kept us up he would be given the job full time. I know that because when i spoke to Pearson in the summer i asked him that. Plus Crouch has since repeated it on the radio, Mary said it on the radio the other day and even Pearson himself said it on the radio during his farewell interview. So i think we can say it is fact that if the old regime remained he would of stayed. Didn't Mary even say the other day she still keeps in contact with him?
  25. Indeed plus the club will have to justify those prices. The club will with all due respect be playing in division 3, up against the likes of Hartlepool,Yeovil,Brighton etc etc. A far cry from playing teams like Man Utd every week. Personally i would rather put my cash into some sort of project to remove Lowe and his friends once and for all then pay for a season ticket at the price we have for the past few years.
