Villa into the drop zone then. In their next 4 games they have Arsenal and Everton away and Man Citeh at home. Think they are gone if they keep Lambert.

Just saw this http://www.pompeytrust.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=507%3Aticket-prices&catid=34%3Ademo-category They ask the question "How do we fill the ‘Park’?" Surely you don't need to ask the bestest that as they will fill the park no matter the cost. Surely they meant how to make the park bigger so to fit everyone in?

Is the issue between MLT and NC a professional or a personal one?
St Marco replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
It is a personal one and thus nothing to do with us. The fact it is being talked about in the public domain is embarrassing. If both men care for the club as they claim then keep that **** to yourself as it tarnishes the club. As my mrs said it is grown men acting like kids. -
See the CoaC (cult of anti cortese) are out in force again....
-
That attendance is shocking considering they have not played at home since dec 29th. What **** support.

If we got that kind of money to spend then we will find someone else. £13m for him is way too much in my opinion. Good prospect and would of fit in with the youth policy but I think you could get better for that money. Could maybe get James Rodríguez for around that.

They are going mental on their forum http://www.avillafan.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=9945 Calling for protests and stuff Think it is getting safe to say they are gone
-
Makes you think about just how true rumours about us really are i.e transfer and club rumours
-
Of course. It takes two to argue. NC is not innocent. But like I said in the other thread personally I think we have to remain the middle. Criticise Cortese when he does wrong and praise him when he does right when they are decisions that affect our club. But personal opinions of people should not be aired. Especially if they are negative. That is just how I was brought up. Turn the other cheek and all that ********. Someone said above who would you rather go for a pint with and the answer is without a doubt MLT. But to ask another question who do you think would run the club more succesfully?
-
Am neither. I am pro Southampton. If Cortese makes what I feel are wrong decisions I will criticise him for it. The way he sacked Adkins was wrong. But if he makes good decisions I will praise him for it. Getting us back to the PL is a good thing that other clubs would love to do. If you asked every club below the PL would they trade their position for ours I think your find the majority would say yes. And for me that is the problem. People are either one side or the other when really they should be in the middle. Praise when praise be needed and criticise when criticism is needed.

You see you can have both. It does not need to be this black or white way. For example Matty is my fav Saints player ever. I look back at the memories and it will always make me happy. The period we are in now as a club is making me happy, especially after the **** we had for the three years prior to them coming in. What i'm not happy about is the way the chairman makes ruthless decisions but sometimes to be succesful you have to make them. I'm also not happy that everytime you see an article from Matt or on tv etc he is slagging the chairman off. Personally I would rather hear about his footballing views not his opinion on business or his personal opinion of someone. Because those kind of things you should keep to yourself, they have nothing to do with anyone. I would love for both of them to sort it out, but everytime Matty comes out with the stuff he does that get's further and further away. The fans do not care that they dislike each other. Our most succesful manager in years was brutally sacked and there was no protest. The fans support the club, they want the club to do well, the club is doing well. So really what is there to be unhappy about?
-
Your wasting your time Nick. If we had the nicest of nice chairman who let everyone in for free but we were in the conference they would find something about him/her to complain about. The question is as a fan what would you rather have. A legend happy because they have free tickets or whatever or a club doing well? Wether we like it or not the club is in a better place then it was last time we were in the PL. I remember back then people were *****ing saying we showed no ambition and we bought in crap journeymen players. Now look at us. Youngest squad in the league with a £12m south american international in the squad and being linked with another one. Let's be honest here no matter what happens some will never be happy. They will always find something to complain about. But to quote Turkish "They are only internet people". You don't see the fan in the stands unhappy.

I don't have a huge coat but this is the main reason why I keep mine on. In the summer yeah it is a joke but come on now it does getting fecking cold in there sometimes. Th thing that annoys me most is people on mobile phones who get cut off every few mins then keep calling back.....
-
Not against Matty. In fact I agree with him. Cortese is not very nice. Just doesn't need to mention it every chance he gets. Would rather he used that air time or paper space to highlight the good things we as a club are achieving or have achieved over the past few years. But as always nice to see the same posters try and make it into some huge thing as usual....

Le Tissier: "Cortese is not a nice human being"
St Marco replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Who is turning their backs on him? I think some people think that he will always be a football legend and thus admire and look forward to his footballing views. However they don't really care who he dislikes as really it isn't anything to do with us is it? You make it sound like we have to agree with everything he says because he scored a billion amazing goals for us. Are we not allowed our own opinions either? And if they differ from his why does it mean we must therefore be on NC side and have zero respect for Matty? I'm on neithers side, it is a personal dispute that should remain behind closed doors. I was brought up to know if you dislike someone keep it to yourself. Got nothing but respect for MLT but im not going to agree with him simply because he is a legend. -
If I was Hazard, got the red card, looked like getting the long ban, i'd go and finish the job
-
This. He thought he will get some money from this so time to do a suarez....

Le Tissier: "Cortese is not a nice human being"
St Marco replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
The thing is I believe it too. Most dictators are not nice people! But what can you do about it? Cortese is in charge of the club weather we like it or not. He is charged with making the club succesful at all costs and you have to say he has done that so far. I think Paul Merson is a dickhead (especially after saying he wants us to go down the other day) but what purpose would it serve for me to keep mentioning it? It is sort of like Dalek on here and Hoddle. He wants the guy to be our manager and has said so for like the last 5 years at every chance he get's (no offence Dalek). Some people have become tired of that and so will rip him for it. This is the same thing and MLT is starting to sound just as tedius. -

While I agree with you that if your a legend i.e win a cup you deserve a free ticket. However by constantly going to the media and saying Cortese is a **** is not really going to help is it? Someone said on the radio that by constantly criticising the chairman it will have a negative effect on the club and I think he was right. What purpose does it serve? Your find most people at the top of a company are ****s. That is just the way it is. Football is no different. What is annoying about it is Matty isn't being fair at all with it. He is quick to slag him off but is he so quick to praise him when things go well? If this decision has the same effect as it did with sacking Pardew then we will go on to do very well. If we are then say going for a top 6 spot after finishing 7th for a couple of years and MP is sacked and someone else brought in to achieve that who will be the first to slag him off? Of course Matty will be. Point being everyone knows Cortese and Matt have a problem. There are mixed opinions on why that is. Some say tickets and some say the pinnacle takeover. But when you read his news articles or listen on tv/radio it sounds no different to what it was 2 years ago, a year ago and today. In a few months time he will say the same-thing again. If we are in the relegation zone he will say Cortese ****ed up every chance he get's. But if we pull away from the relegation zone and start moving up the table and bring in better players he will stay silent. He will give the criticism but won't give the praise and for me that is why he needs to shut up. We all know where he stands and he is entitled to his opinion. But repeating it almost daily is a bit bullyish. If someone acted like that in your own daily life and constantly took pops at you I doubt you would think they were that decent a person themselves. Matty is and always will be a legend but everytime he comes out with the things he says he goes from the legend you can't wait hearing from to the legend you wish you didn't hear from. -

I admit I was wrong. I meant spot fixing. All hail Turkish! Can we now get back to talking about Saints? -

Dude you really do need to go outside find a women and get laid or something.... I am not tracking back at all. There is no shame in being wrong and I will be the first to admit when I am. In this instance you have gone all Carol Vorderman on us insisting every word used ever must be used with the correct definition of that word. That is pretty sad and petty and shows what type of person you are. In the correct English definition of match fixing it means a result. However it isn't the way I meant it and everyone else could understand the way I intended it to be said. Rather then go with the context of the word and debate the point in which it was obviously being used you decided to go on a definition crusade. So well done hope it was worth it? But regardless of what you say Turkish to me and i'm sure everyone else see's spot fixing in the same light as match fixing. They are both dishonest and are done so by people who want to gain financially by rigging (am I allowed to say that Carol?) an event in a match. -

As I said go read "Spot fixing". However you try and defend it Turkish MLT acted dishonestly with the intention to take money from a person/company by "fixing" an event in a "match". He should not be accusing anyone of bringing shame to a club -

Match fixing = Anything in a match that is pre-determined and bet on for financial gain by players or officials involved. It even has a name within match fixing. It is called "Spot fixing". Your wrong and you know it. -

St Marco replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I think you seem to miss the point Turkish. It isn't about how bad something was it is about how someone behaved. Cortese acts awful at times and the Adkins one is a prime example of it. But MLT has acted awful in the past too so shouldn't be so quick to say who are good/bad. Or who has brought shame onto the club. If you read what Claus say's he thinks it was a lot worse then what Matty say's it was. Maybe there is some truth to it or maybe it is the ramblings of a guy needing money to buy alcohol, who knows. But if you honestly believe he only did it once and is not telling the whole story I think your probably being a bit naive.
