Great game and great win. Probably the best team performance this season. Would have to be a mega **** up to get relegated from here. Think today's results see Reading and QPR gone. If we win 2 of the 8 left we will stay up. Great day for the fans. Sad day for our resident negative trolls but watch them try and suck any positivity out of it. COYRs

Can't be many clubs in the pl making profit these days?

Pretty sure Keane was going for the troll aproach right there. Either that or he has finally gone insane. Felt sorry for Southgate and Dixon as they were trying hard not to shoot him down. That was never a red card and by using Keane's logic every tackle from behind should be a red card, every foot up should be a red card, every clash of heads should be a red card etc etc. As someone else on another forum pointed out in the first half Madrid's keeper came for a corner, missed the ball completly and punched Vidic in the face with both hands. That was exactly the same thing as what Nani did. He had his eye on the ball, did not see the player, had no intention of going for the player and whilst in flight could not pull out. If players get red cards for stuff like that then there would be a red card every game. As for his other comment about Spain and Germany having better quality leagues is probably the biggest trolling there is. He is talking like Man Utd were rolled over and were second best in every area. In the 1st leg they were equal and up until just after half time Man Utd were clearly the better team. Even after the red card they had some great chances that made Madrid's keeper pull off good saves. English teams have won 3 of the last 7 champions leagues. The same as Spain. In the last 8 years 8 English teams have got to the final. In that time only 3 Spanish teams got to the final and 2 German. It does crack me up how people try and round on English football when we don't win it. You can't win it every year!

I saw Hulk Hogan got more scores right then him. Say's it all. Also in his table he has QPR with the best goal difference ratio of any teams. In fact they have the best goal difference by 11 goals! Where as in reality they are 57 goals away from the best GD team. That is a pretty huge mess up.

Sorry but if they have a bad performance or consistently bad performances then criticism is normal. To praise people for the sake of praising them is wrong. Fox in my opinion should of been more aware of the players around him before just hoofing it in any direction. If he knew Jos was there then there would of been no mistake. He was not under pressure from any players and how often do you see own goals like that? They never happen because the players have awareness of their own team mates. The penalty was a harsh decision but you can't jump with your hands above your head in the modern game. You have to be in control at all times and I think you can say Fox is not in control. In this instance I think it is safe to say Fox has had a shocker of a game and if you or I performed like that at work we would get criticised. See no reason why it should not be the same with football players.

That just about sums up our defensive display today. Other then clyne the rest have been gash. Fox and Jos are not good enough for this level.

Lallana has turned up now thankfully!

Thought we were quite poor first half to be honest. Never really got the ball down and in control. A lot of rushing around and closing people down but no quality or control. Need to get a hold of the ball and keep it. Don't think Newcastle look that good either.

There was a guy from The News who was obsessed with counting the fews Everyone else could see there were ten But Mr Allen would multiply them When teams came to Fratton he would say This is their cup final, this is their special day Behold the bestest in all the land But no he won't donate his own grand If you try and explain he is wrong He will block you on twitter and call you a mong He doesn't like us in his live chats Dirty scummer you can't ask that The average skate does not need to know Where the money comes from or where it will go All that matters is we are the best By the way do you have Kanu's address

So 11pm tonight the conference is on. Should be able to get streams from many places i.e Sony

So this is what the big feud is about....a broken hob, a swimming pool needing to be re-filled and a garden needing its grass cut...seriously? I wonder if Benali has been using the fews accountant to come up with those numbers. I thought people were saying he took down a wall, ripped up carpets and tiles?! What will he find next? Someone didn't empty the sink after washing up? That's another £10k...

Man that thing looks hideous

If people want to drink then fine. The only thing that would annoy me would be if people keep going back to get more beer while the game is in progress, meaning you have to keep standing up to let them pass every few mins. If your absorbed in the game that would become very iritating if some **** head keeps doing that.

There is no point trying to argue with those kind of people as they will never get it. The thing is though if it is the PFA that have got the delay due to wanting to be paid quicker, surely it doesn't matter as the FA/FL have said that they are not interested in other bids now? Anyone other then the PST won't get the golden share? All Trev has to tell them is that there is nothing he can do. If he sells to Harris the club is expelled. They won't get paid if there are no games being played. Shouldn't need a delay to tell them the offer was rejected and as they have a CVA they have already agreed they can't do anything about it.

I doubt any company (console makers) would do that as it would make their product less appealing. The only way they would do something like that is if they followed the Steam format where if you buy a game it is locked to your account and you can re-download it anytime. I would be interested in that. But the second hand game market is huge so to cut it out would cause massive anger amongst customers. Not to mention all the places like Game and CEX which rely on it. I have heard the rumours though that you mention and am pretty sure it is one of the many false ones. When we get to a few months out of the new gen you get a ton of people coming out with rumours. Some just by fan boys trying to create negativity. I still remember the one about before the Wii U came out that it would require you to look into the sensor bar so it reads your Iris and will then login for you. Yeah didn't quite happen! The Kinect one would not surprise me as it is something Microsoft have invested a lot in. But they also have been developing a thing called Illumiroom, here is a tech demo The controllers one I agree with though as most new consoles do that.

I bet Hartlepool fans are looking forward to their 2nd cup final game within a month tonight!

UKIP candidate says Romanians are associated with crime....

Went to Romania three years ago on a business trip. Had my laptop stolen (from my hotel room). But you can't blame an entire nation for something like that. Just as likely to get stolen here. That said however I am against them coming here. Thats nothing to do with them being thieves or gypo's. It is because as an Island nation with the current infrastructure we have we are already struggling. We can't deal with our own problems let alone another countries. We need to become a lot stricter with imigration Oz style. -
Sorry if already mentioned and if it is please delete this thread mods. Not sure if people knew but today was the day the clubs voted on whether they should impliment our own FFP rules like other countries i.e Germany. Result just in is that they agreed to it (had to get at least 14 of the 20 clubs votes) David Gold said the vast majority voted in favour. Think it is pretty safe to assume Citeh and Chelsea were against it. I imagine we probably voted in favour of it. Sure more details will come out soon http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2013/02/07/3733876/premier-league-clubs-vote-in-favour-of-new-financial-fair?source=breakingnews&ICID=HP_BN_1 Top-flight clubs also approved a salary cap as the league supported the most far-reaching spending reforms since the boom that led to influx of billionaire owners By Wayne Veysey | Chief Correspondent Premier League clubs have voted in favour of introducing a domestic financial fair play model from next season. West Ham co-owner David Gold has confirmed that proposals to limit a club's losses were approved "overwhelmingly" at a showdown meeting in London on Thursday afternoon. The top-flight clubs also approved a cap on wage increases as the league supported the most far-reaching spending reforms since the boom that led to an influx of billionaire owners led by Roman Abramovich and Sheikh Mansour. It is not yet known which clubs supported the new measures but 14 of the 20 votes are required to push through reforms. At the last full shareholders' meeting in November, Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Norwich City, QPR, Reading, Southampton, Stoke City, Sunderland, Swansea City, Tottenham, West Ham and Wigan had all indicated that they were in favour of stricter financial regulation. This came after four breakaway clubs – Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham – attempted a coup in a bid to push through a strict break-even rule. The four clubs most likely to oppose the introduction of cost-control measures at the meeting in a London hotel were Aston Villa, Fulham, Manchester City and West Brom. Insiders say that the Premier League FFP system will be a more "sophisticated" version of Uefa's, which comes into force next season and limits owners to covering losses £38.9 million losses over the first three years.''

Sorry I had not seen many photos of when he was younger. I didn't make it my lifes purpose to hunt down and look at every photo taken of him.....

Hey your entitled to your opinion mate but based on what we have both said I do not see nor agree with yours. If that means in your eyes that my argument/opinion is not that great then so be it. But it is clear my opinion is everyone should be judged equally and yours is some should not be judged at all. Mine is that sadly as time goes by people in our generation who we consider important are not as seen as important to the next. They have their own favourites and create new legends. Yours is that everyone has to know everyone who played for the club and think of them all as legends and if you don't know who they are then your disrespectful. Everyone is remembered for all time. Like I said your entitled to your opinion

As I said then you really don't have a clue how the real world works. You think football is immune to this thing called time. I bet you think everyone today knows who Vera Lynn is too right? As for the just another guy remark...sorry but I don't see Ted Bates like that. I was not born when he played, not alive when he managed, not alive when he was assistant manager when we won the cup. I only really knew who he was when he was given his MBE. That made me notice all the things he did before I was born and made me see not only what a great guy he was but what a unique life he has. One that demands respect. I maybe wrong about this so sure Duncan can correct me but it was shortly after his sad passing that a statue was talked about. Why is it we only seem to build statues after people die? If all these people are important to everyone at everytime then why are they not made now? Why don't we have a Mick Channon statue? @ JM In all honesty I don't know who the first two are on the banner. If that makes me less of a fan then so be it. But I bet if you took that banner to St Mary's and asked people under 20 who the first 6 were the majority would not know.
-
If you believe that then you really are deluded. I bet if I said to you who was Derek Reeves you would only know by looking on the internet. If I said Tommy Traynor. Bert Shelly or Arthur Dominy. And if you did know I doubt they would mean as much to you as those who saw them play in their era's. As for the statue...what a stupid comment. Anyone who was at the club for over 50 years deserves a statute and deserves to be remembered. But isn't that why they make statues so they will be remembered?
-
Find me the court case then as they are all in the public domain. "Currently" can mean a lot of things i.e Currently in the process of doing so.

The thing about time is people forget. For example my 12 year old nephew is a die hard Saints fan and goes with his dad to the games with us at home. You ask him who scored our fa cup goal and he won't have a clue. Ask him who is our all time greatest scorer and he won't have a clue. Each of these people had huge importance on our history but as each new generation comes around they are pushed further and further away. To our generation Matty is a god on the pitch. But to the generation below who never saw him play he is just another guy. When I was a young kid everyone talked about how amazing Channon was. My dad will tell you he was better then MLT or at least more important. Now it is Rickie Lambert. Time moves on and legends of one era are forgotten by the next.
