Don't clubs have to agree a fee and sort that out before they are allowed to speak to a player? I mean you can't say we will pay £12m and then after speaking to the player say £12m spread over 10 years.... Pretty sure the two clubs would have worked on the payment details before it was agreed he could talk to us. And by his own admission he has said he has agreed terms on a four year deal. Looks done and dusted to me tbh.

That liverpool thing looks like a rehash of the info awhile back. Didn't they already have a £12m bid accepted but couldn't agree personal terms? Why would they then go back with an £18m offer when the £12m offer was already accepted? Looks like fourth official reading last weeks papers again....

Interesting read. Most seem more positive about our chances then some of our own fans on here!

Well it is that time of year again! Thought I would show a deal for you guys as obviously most of you will get it. Can get the ultimate edition for £35.99 http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/fifa-13-xbox360-ps3-31-49-normal-35-99-ultimate-sainsbury-s-entertainment-1286731?page=1 Also I thought this thread was quite interesting as talks about the features/changes to the game http://forum.ea.com/uk/posts/list/1859489.page Some stand out things • Whilst playing your Career Mode matches you’ll now receive audio updates from other games being played in your league voiced by Alan Mcinally and Geoff Shreeves. The live updates cover goal, red card and penalty incidents. Example – Shreeves: “Goal at Anfield, Fulham’s Clint Dempsey scores a brilliant freekick to make it 2-1, 73 minutes played” Tyler “Thanks Geoff • If you are unhappy you now have the option to request a transfer, or request a loan to gain more match experience (career mode) • If you choose to play for a top club with a low rated VP you will not be a first team starter to begin with, you’ll be loaned to gain experience first. • Once your playing days are over can can opt to retire and take up management. • The transfer system has been completely re-written for Career Mode in FIFA 13. (good because it sucked in 12) • Both the Youth System and player growth are being upgraded (awesome and hopefully being at Saints will mean we have a good youth set up) • You can manager both national and another team at the same time. • Is the world cup in the game? We will have a World Championship that will follow the same format (Meaning the World Cup won't be licensed). • If you play as player mode you can hand in a transfer request/leave the club at any point. So far three new stadiums have been spotted in the trailer • White Hart Lane • King Fahd Stadium • One new nameless generic stadium Looks as though they have decided to change career mode a lot then and make it more realistic. You can view all available jobs now (both league and national) and view all leagues which they have added Saudia Arabaia, Czech league and some others that nobody will ever play....

Im excited for sure. Don't see why we can't do what Swansea, Norwich and QPR did by staying up. We won't be vying for Europe and to expect it is mental. On our day we can play really good football and are no different to a lot of the teams in the bottom 10. Naturally it would of been nice to get in a few more signings but traditionally non free signings are done during August. Nobody has really made many signings yet. I think we are a winger and CB away from a decent side. So I'm not worried at all. The moaners moaning before the season has even started shows some mentalities will never change regardless. I'm looking forward to being back in the best league in the world and am proud we are there. I don't expect anything other then survival. There will be good day's and there will be bad day's. Football is unpredictable! COYS

Why didn't they play their experienced side then?

Got to love this new development. Didn't Birch say this only a few days ago.... "‘I understand why nobody wants to lose money – whether they are players or other creditors. Tal Ben Haim is not alone here.’ The likes of Greg Halford, David Norris, Erik Huseklepp and Dave Kitson have sacrificed money owed to them by leaving Pompey in recent weeks. And Birch also pointed to the local businesses and non-football creditors who have effectively written off the debts to try to keep Pompey afloat. He said: ‘Many of his (Ben Haim’s) former team-mates were in the same situation, yet made big sacrifices and showed the club is more important than any individual. ‘Many non-football creditors, some small local businesses, have also told me that they’d be willing to take a personal financial hit in order to keep the club going. ‘And then there’s the pain felt by the club’s employees who lost their jobs or took pay cuts earlier in the year. ‘If we all keep that in mind over the next couple of days then there is hope that the club may survive.’ So everyone should keep that in mind except you Trev?

One of my friends dad hung himself about 4 months ago. Long story short he had a longtime wife and two kids (both older then 21) but started seeing a young women on the side. As the months went by he would spend lot's of money on this women to try and impress her. Eventually all the family savings were spent without the wife knowing. Then one day some debt collector people came to the house and said they owed xyz amount of money on a ring or something like that. She spoke to him about it and he came clean but as you can imagine it pretty much messed things up for the family. A few days later my friend went round to see her family and found he had hung himself. The sad thing about it is that she was to get married in a month or so later but had a massive breakdown. I think that is the thing that angers me about people who do those kind of things. Something that starts off as a bit of fun can have huge consequences for people around you. And to then kill yourself makes it even worse for them. Naturally I can't past judgement as not been in that situation but people should think more about who they will hurt by doing it.

Pathetic behaviour by the bestest and the local media. If BBC Solent had to make cut backs and if Adam left meant they could keep two others in a job would he leave? Of course not. Easy for people like him and Neil to slag off the players. WHy not have a go at Chinny and ask him to drop the debt he is owed? Just shows how far they have fallen that they are blamming the players now. They just brought in some new staff and took a bunch of people not connected to the club to Spain in the hope they will woo them into signing. How about using that money to pay the charities instead? As far as i'm concerned I hope they go under as at no point have they ever put the blame on the people who deserved it i.e the management and the owners. Rather then hounding out the players they should be having a go at the owners. No doubt this will be the excuse they use to pull out of the deal when in reality the FL statement recently was probably the real reason why Chinny wants to pull out.

Looking forward to Neil Allen's version of these events. Imagine it will be something like "10 point deduction but we negotiated it down from a deduction of 2 million points" The thing that stands out to me is the whole football league control their wage budgets and expenditure for 5 years. That is a fecking long time. Think what we have been through in the past 5 years. Because of that rule I think we can assume that the budget will be small and because they can't borrow money they can only spend what they earn. Or what is left after the carried over debt is paid. So if you think about it logically they are ****ed. Next year they will have a depleted squad which will be full of youngsters and players nobody wanted. We all know how tough league one was. A deduction and a very tight budget which says to me that if they go over it they will get more points deducted. They have little chance of staying up next year. But don't worry. Sure Neil Allen will make relegation to the fourth division be a good thing and the bestest will lap it up....

Is it me or is this Neil guy looking a bit more like a mini Goebbels as this whole thing plays out? It's like he is spinning every story possible into some positive propoganda rather then actually be a journalist and report the real news. Like this Kanu thing. He talks about possibly terminating his contract because he is in Nigeria. For the past few weeks he has pretty much been running a hate campaign against the guy so can you blame him? He has been making it look like Kanu wants to kill the club as all he wants is his cash. All the good positive things he did now mean nothing. He is enemy number one. I bet he was really hoping Tal didn't show up so he could include him in his hate campaign too. Then to come out with that piece trying to play the morals card talking about things like breach of contract is just mind blowing. It's like it doesn't matter if Pompey screw over local companies, local charities and break every contract they have signed but the minute you do that to them then it becomes a big deal! If Kanu and Tal had not done the deferal thing on their wages would Pompey still be going now? Probably not. By going down the route Neil Allen and the club have they make themselves look hypocritical. If they go down the legal route then they won't have a leg to stand on because in the real world the company would of been put out of it's misery ages ago. The moment they stopped paying him he didn't need to be there anymore. Doing this won't make Kanu leave it will make him more determined then ever before to get his money, all of it. It seems to me that this Neil Allen guy really knows the club is screwed and is now painting the picture that Kanu is to blame. When they don't come out with the CVA it won't be about how Pompey lied and cheated people it will be about how Kanu killed the club.

What a douche... I don't understand why he would mention it for any other reason then needing the money. The sad thing is he obviously waited until we were back in the pl to do it as obviously nobody would of cared when we were in league one.
