I actually thought the delivery was good today esp 1st half. Had Lambert played I'm convinced we would have scored from one of them at least.

rubbish. cant handle pressure. second haf was woeful. -
According to this website a kid called Lloyd Foot is the next big star to come out of our Academy. http://www.footballfancast.com/2010/08/football-blogs/a-star-in-the-making-lloyd-foot Never heard of him so couldn't comment on his ability.

Unless they get a buyer I dont think they will last much longer without going back into Administration. Not exactly an attractive purchase for anybody. No decent players, shed of a stadium and of course the blue few "best fans in the world". They will average no more than 12k at home this season imo.

Saints Lookielikies - time to lighten up...

This is the best one so far. -
Lambert will either start or wont be involved at all imo. You don't have Rickie Lambert on the bench. If he is fit he plays if not then he wont be involved.
-
my bro feels a bit ripped off paying £15 to watch a bunch of youth players plus Pulis come on. all for giving youth a chance but its important we have confidence ahead of plymouth game. before subs were made it was even game and saints were well in the game. shame AP made so many changes. typically goes flat once that happens.
-
Spot on. Reading were one of the form teams in the last few months of last season so they are a strong out fit. I am sure with best players back to fitness with a couple of additions to squad we will be fine. I am curious to know what is happening with seabourne. something not right there. Injury prehaps?
-
what is happening with dan seabourne? he has barely featured in pre season. not on bench today.
-
maybe preston pay him inflated wages, which seems to be common in football nowadays hence why they nearly folded earlier in the year. He needs to get realistic and realise clubs wil be a lot more prudent with fees and wages. Though having said that I would be surprised if saints couldn't meet his demands.

The Official Summer Transfers and HCDAJFU Thread

No he was that bad. Truly truly awful. Can't decide who is worse Pulis or JW lol probaly go for JW as I have seen more of him in a saints shirt. -
You only had to have seen their open bus parade after gaining promotion to see that their fan base is an embarrassment and what a tiny club they really are. It was a truly pathetic turn out. We would fill the streets of Soton to the rafters should we gain promotion.
-
i noticed seabourne hasnt been involved in pre season games that much. is he nursing an injury like lallana?
-
Antonio didn't have staminamake impact for 90 minutes. He was definately better coming off the bench same as Papa was. A good pre season and a year older may mean he can make bigger impact when in the starting line up.
-
First choice back four imo is Richardson, Fonte, Seabourne and Harding/Dickson which is hardly lacking pace. Actually I would say on paper probably best defence in the division. Then first choice midfield of Puncheon, Hammond, Sneiderlein and Lallana is definately strongest in division. Then forward line of Lambert and Barnard on paper is a goal fest. Little BFC fans need a reality check.
-
He is rubbish. Hasnt got a proven track record in english football. Our current crop of strikers are better than him.
-
It's weird that most managers have been quoted talking about transfers, pre season, hopes for the new season etc etc but nothing from AP at all for weeks now. I'm not really bothered as long as he is still here which is evident by the photo's and that he has the support of NC but just feel it is strange we have not heard from it. If I was being cynical it would cross my mind that NC has told him to get on with the job and stay clear of the media. I think a couple things last season put NC's nose out of joint for example AP saying how important local media was for a one team city like southampton which could have upset NC considering he was/is having a dispute with the echo. Funny how our players look as it they are enjoying their time away from home and bonding with their team mates, shame our national players couldn't be bothered!
-
I replied to the tweet asking for a photo or quote from AP jsut so to reassure us he is there with the team lol
-
His pace will get him out of trouble more often that not. Not great positionally so relies on his pace to make amends. Ok going forward.
-
I think Stock signing is still the most likely out of all the rumours.
-
JT is quoted in the local exeter paper as saying he is "quite quick, likes to cross the ball, enjoys running with the ball and will create opportunies for others" hmmm must have missed that jake. he is garbage and is out of his depth at league two level let alone league one imo.
-
Where are all these signings then ?

maybe danny butterfield from palace who could not match offer from another club? -
They have made significant contribution to a boring and unispiring World Cup so far. They drown out that proper football atmosphere. That's what happens when you choose a country to host the world cup that rates other sports in higher regard then football. Only a country that has football as there number 1 national sport should be allowed to host a world cup IMO.
