Instead of the team bus we can park this in front of the goal.

To a certain extend but I do not see why he should voluntarily take less wages or demote himself to a pay-as-you-play deal. If he can similar contracts at us and an other club I think he owes it to the club to stay but in the end these are professional football players and eventhough 8 grand a week is a ****load of money many players need to live this for the rest of their lives.
-
I don't get why he would "owe us" anything? Because he was injured and we paid his salary last year? He got injured doing his work for Southampton so why should he owe us something for that? Its not like he's been sitting on his ass last year. Rehab can be more demanding then actually training and playing, if not physically then mentally. He's worked his ass of just not on the pitch which can hardly be blamed on him. Its not his fault that we're not insured against injuries.
-
He's one of three Roda JC players that hasn't been assigned a squadnumber which is a clear hint he is not wanted there. Not very surprising since none of their defenders have left and they still have the same manager as last year.
-
Both Molyneux and Smith are on trial at NAC Breda in the Netherlands. Smith started last week and impressed but will not be offered a contract until NAC can first sign a leftback.
-
That's not really the image I have of British people on holiday.

Great counter attack for the 2-0 though. I can't believe Davies (he gave the assist) plays in the Swedish league. 2-1 now, good goal from Luis Fabiano.
-
Shouldn't be? Its a judgement by the ref call that generally leads to a booking. If you jump up with raised arms to block your opponent then you know you run the risk of being booked. I do disagree about the English performance yesterday. They weren't good at all in the first half, they scored form three corners and had two chances from Swedish players stupidly giving the ball away but apart from that they didn't create anything. If they play anything like this in the final they will lose it.
-
Unsporting behaviour. That was for walking towards the Swedish penalty taker and thus delaying play. Harsh from the ref and rather stupid from Hart. Gotta laugh at Agbonlahor though: Bjärsmyr had to leave the field to get a wound patched up because he had is elbow planted in his face, even if it isn't on purpose it is always a yellow.
-
Hart didn't do much (apart from taking a very very good penalty). Berg took an awful penalty and Molins hit the post, they were more misses then saves.
-
On that showing he is, I was hoping for him to take a penalty. He was so **** poor I was very confident of him missing. Its a shame I was wrong.
-
Harsh on Sweden they were the better team through the whole match but forgot how to defend setpieces (very strange for a Swedish team).

Why is the mother (I'm assuming she is the mom) laughing like some kid of psycho? Even when she looks at the girl she doesn't get concerned. The best man one is indeed the most funny one.
-
It was just a better team effort against a team that believed they were already in the final. No reason to become scared of the US, just look at the names on the teamsheet and you know that it will be a long long time before they can produce these kind of results at a regular basis.

Pinnacle plans conditional on promotion in first season
Saint Martini replied to modern matron's topic in The Saints
But that doesn't mean that pinnacle's support for the club going forward depends on us getting promotion next year. The tone of the article is such that we are supposed to believe pinnacle is going to pull out after one year if we don't get promoted (which would mean at least a years delay in their 5-year plan). I don't believe that for one second, besides that I think getting us out of this division ASAP is in the interest of the long-term future of the club. If we stay in the lower leagues to long then more young kids in the area will grow up to be Manu/Arsenal/Chelski/etc. supporters. The only thing the writer of that article has gotten right is that pinnacle are indeed making a fuss of the 10 point penalty because they want promotion next year. The rest of the article is conjecture based on absolutely nothing. -
And since City offered around 45.000 a week that sum could be quite big.
-
I think the big issue is that if we start with -10 then this season could become a failure just because of that. If Pinnacle are serious with their 5-year plan then that alone could make a 6-year one which would cost them a lot more money then waiting a few more days. For us supporters its easy, of course we would prefer not having the penalty but when push comes to shove we want a club more then anything else, with or without penalty. As a business decision this is not as obvious.

Swedish football season update..

Try to go to one of the Stockholm derbies, they are by far the most fun (not football wise, but supporter wise). -
N.Ireland/S.Ireland Saints

I moved to the Netherlands and then to Sweden. Sorry. -
Branfoot was a **** and behaved like one. Wotte is a decent bloke that behaved professionally in a very difficult situation. Very comparable....

I don't think anyone has said 'well done'. That doesn't mean he is a crap manager and it doesn't mean he is a bad guy. Should we wish for anyone that wasn't good for us to burn in hell?
-
I started a thread on him negotiating/ being in the running for the job a few days ago but I thought it was worth starting a new thread now that he has signed for them. I never really liked the guy to be honest but he has always presented himself and the club well. His team did put in a few questionable performances but with all the turmoil surrounding the club at that time there were quite some mitigating circumstances. Good luck to him in his new job.

http://www.sportwereld.nl/voetbal/buitenlandsvoetbal/3302836/Wotte_troeft_Van_Stee_af.html As it says in the title. He signed a contract there according to Dutch media.
