  1. I share your concern, we had nobody running off the shoulder of he last defender looking for the through ball. Too often the ball went wide and instead of running down the line, the ball was passed back giving Rangers all the time in the world to get organised. I wasn't that bothered when Lallana went off and I though J-Rod would give us somebdy who would run at their defence.
  2. Not really - when St.Marys gets going we do a pretty good job ourselves.
  3. He is part of our history and therefore a legitimate topic of conversation. Also once a thread gets beyond 2 pages long it gets difficult to read so much prefer it when someone starts a new one !
  4. Worst: Sunderland at home - lacked any drive and looked very weak in the final third Best: QPR away - we bossed that game!
  5. but look at his QPR predictions: 44 points, + 4 GD at 7th position vs reality 17 points, - 22 GD at 20th position.
  6. But not as weird as kowing that it's a WAG. Cheryl Cole i know about but all the others............... life's too short to figure them out (ohh I forgot Rooney's missus and Frank Lampard's girfriend - I would recognise them as well, but that's it!)
  7. As was sung at Villa, "Down with the Redknapp, going down with the Redknapp". Happy to change Redknapp to Redcrap - but agree we really need to be sure of winning before rolling this one out!
  8. But specifically mentions uncleaned window, dirty swimming pool, unkempt garden and damaged hob - if that's the main basis of the claim then tens of thousands of pounds to put it rght sounds extreme.
  9. Well now we know the details of the claims from Fancis Benali. As the club state they are rigorously contesting these claims we now need to see their side of the story. It is claimed that uncleaned windows, a dirty swimming pool, garden not maintained and damage to a hob needed £33,000+ to make right - that's a lot of money......
  10. What's important is that we are playing good football and creating chances away from home (not just at home). I'm not so confident about Newcastle away, they have brought in some good players and they'll have home advantage, but a draw looks more of a possibility than when this thread was first started.
  11. How can you assure us ? Do you know something we don'T?
  12. It sounded great on TV as well. Glad to hear that this wasn't just because the microphones were placed in a certain part of the stadium.
  13. No, I'm not over Nigel Adkins. He was treated in a shoody way and that remains no matter how well Saints do.
  14. It made my week-end!!!
  15. This is a good point but the Manager is also part of the communication vehicle for the club to the media, the fans and maybe more beyond. Why was I so disappointed about Nigel leaving? It was becuase when he spoke after games and otherwise he was, in part, speaking to me a fan. I was able to relate to him because he represented something I care about. I've nothing against MP, but we miss that communication and it's something I am disappointed about. I'll take for granted that he talks to the team in English, but does anybody have confirmation that this actualy does happen?

    Redknapp

If it unsettles him and he reflects that onto the QPR team then fantastic. We need a win. If we can wind him up and that impairs his decision making on the day then it's worth every piece of energy we put into it. I'm looking forward to shouting abuse for at heart he is a skate.
  17. Not sure what compells you to make a statement like this, but I assume you have the facts to back up your statement so please share them with us.
  18. I must have been in the dead zone - at the very bottom corner of the away stand - as all i could hear was the bl**dy Wigan drum....
  19. Just out of interest - why weren't you sat in with the Saints fans - there were plenty of seats and and a cash entrance??
  20. Just read through the comments and would like to add mine. We were poor if the first half and Wigan were well worth their lead. As another poster said they almost went in 2-0, Di Santo should have scored.. Saints played much, much better in the second half but Wigan put a lot of bodies in the way to frustrate our shots and although our build up and passing was exciting, we dithered a bit in the box - giving them time to get in the way, to adjust to our attack. Second goal was amazing, even more so when Morgan ran over to the touchline right in front of my son and I - we had a real close up of the team celebrating and you could see what it meant to them.. After that Wigan pushed at us and we gave way - it was disappointing to give away the goal but just as Martinez said that Wigan wanted the game to end after their first goal, we looked the same after we scored our second. Very impressed with Morgan, Ricky, J-Rod, Luke, Boruc in particular and then Davis and Adam when they came on. Wigan fans were very complimentary about us after the game, also very friendly but boy did Scharner look like a hero arriving to their rescue - a good loan...
  21. How many Saints fans turned up yesterday - does anybody have a figure?
  22. I didn't see the start but got to the foot of the bridge within 1 minute of the shouting starting. There was a very upset female Wigan fan berating the Saints fans as there were lots of kids and older folks on the steps up to the bridge. On the bridge were Wigan lads getting very excited - lots of shouting, pushing etc but I didn't see any Wigan fans try to get down off the bridge to have a go at the Saints fans. The net result was that lots of by-standers got caught up in the event, the kids were very frightened, old folks were getting knocked around as people were moving quickly and pushing - it was very sad to be part of this event. Not quite Green Street...............
  23. Would love to see it but it's been removed!
  24. That's a very good point. I've not been that impressed with Ramirez so far, but I hadn't considered his age in my evauation. I think also his price tag heavily influences the way people think about him.
