  1. I thought Pilkington played well last night, so i would add him as a player I'd take from Norwich.
  2. I don't think we played that well last night as a team - some individuals played well, e.g. Shaw, but we kept making errors. i lost count of the number of flick-ons from rickie that went to no-one or to a Norwich player as no-one was looking for them. A draw was a fair result, but overall i though saints looked a bit tired and uniterested.
  3. He did mess up a couple of times but then again Saints were not really firing on all cylinders last night, so he wasn't the only one not firing!. Out of the back 4 Jose had a good game and so did Shaw - in fact Shaw was MOTM for me.
  4. I am on the same page as Johnny Boy. I lived in the midlands so supporting Saints was always away games - you wore no colours, no scarf, no badges and kept your mouth shut unless you were looking for trouble. So being able to express yourself at today's games is fantastic - and if some want to dress up so be it. I wear a replica shirt and love it!
  5. Coventry win please ............
  6. What was interesting on this site was not the stuff about the chanting but the short-cut to Keira Knightly's topless shoot - not sure who did the make-up and the photos but boy she looks hot - thanks !
  7. He had a good game yesterday and certainly gave us plenty of options up front. My only concern is that he's 30.............. With that in mind I can see why we bought J-Rod, but at £7 million he has a long way to go to be as good as Rickie and to earn his price tag.
  8. I admire your planning! I'm not booking the train until I know I can get a ticket for the game, this may make it more expensive but that's my choice.
  9. Not decided yet but heading straight to Shepberd's Bush via Clapham
  10. What do you mean ? I'm puzzled.
  11. just had the same happen to me - I think it's locked down until tomorrow morning, when tickets go on general sale.
  12. Watched them both again and don't think he dived for the first; it was a collision and no way a yellow - but not a penalty. The second was, imo, a penalty but the ref was not in the mood.
  13. Maybe it's all of the JCLs leaving early ? they don't realise that the game last for 90 mins plus stoppage?
  14. I always get mad when I see fans leaving after 35 mins to get their pie and pint - but on a previous thread some wise person said that they've paid their money so they are free to do what they like, and if that includes missing 10 mins of the first half then so be it!
  15. I'll be in the Northam, enjoying watching football. Enjoying watching the Saints and doing my best to be the 12th man. It would be good to hear some rousing stuff from the Chapel end - looking forward to it. One final thought, which I keep in my mind as the poor results have rolled in this season. If you think we are bad this season just cast your minds back to the season we were relegated from the Championship; boy were we really rubbish that season !
  16. You Skate B*ast*rd! That will do nicely....................................
  17. Total praise to the fans who went last night, I only caught a bit of the mtch on R5L, but heard the "who the f*ck islaughung now" very nicely. I sang along in the car and the commentary was all about how good WBA were. Robbie Savage was quite bleak about us - just not good enough in defence, not closing down quickly enough and almost inviting WNBA to shoot and score.....
  18. Maxine Nightgale - Right Back Where We Started From - heard it at the Dell while on the Archers Road Terrace and it's stuck in my mind................
  19. Good article but a bit depressing as the only thing I take away from this is that we are not very good at selecting managers! Maybe that's the skill set we should be trying to develop to avoid making the same mistakes over and over again.....
  20. Thanks David, Those who never learn from the past are destined to repeat it, that could be us this season. For me the club I look at is Stoke - they were pretty rubbish but have survived in the PL - survivied with many ex-Saints players! I think, and it's just my opinion, that the manager is as important as the players - Pullis for example, Sam at WHU as another prove my point and I would like to give NA at least until end of November before drawing any conclusion.
  21. Remember last season at Leeds - besides the goal we were under the cosh for the whole game - we robbed them.............. So are we actualy any worse on this visit................?
  22. Including some very poor Leeds Teams ???
  23. Current form suggests not. After spending £30 million in the summer what's left to finance a new defense in January??? I'd rather go down than do a Pompey - I love having the moral high ground on the Skates and would protect that above PL status.
  24. Very disappointing - listened to it on R5Lx - we sound like a club that has lost the plot - we supposed to play to win, not to play to let the other team win..........
  25. On the stream I watched I heard Spurs sing it and I heard Saints sing it. Overall I think we just edged them. Best song of the afternoon; after Spurs had sung "we are Spurs, we score when we want", Saints (Puncheon I think) had a shot - probably their first of the afternoon - Saints sang "we are Southampton, we shoot when we want!". Loved it !
