Match stats on BBC says derby 51% possesion - are they at the game or making it up?

He must be very disappointed. I don't think that's fair for what's he delivered.

West Ham 1 - 1 Saints - Post Match Reaction

Great result for Saints ! -
At £4.0 milion a year I'm willing to offer my name up. I think I have almost as much experience in managing a football team as Alan Shearer, and he's 66/1, but I've more years of man management than he has ! Must make me more like 50/1. I am English and I'll take the job for only £2.0 million a year - must cut my odds dramatically - please vote for me!
-
Not sure if this cheers me up - in the end "good footballing teams", like Saints, will rise to the top over the full season. or depresses me - were Forest fans talking about the "turn around" which would see them hang onto 2nd, like Saints fans??

Let's focus on the league ! -
Itchen Rob - I also live near Gatwick (south of Crawley, just of the A25). I got in at 05.30 so tell your missus that you weren't alone ! For me it was a painful trip home but I had a few good beers in Brum and saw Saints play well - so all in all it was worth it!
-
Got home to Sussex at 05.30 am, after connecting train at Watford (to Clapham) left us stranded at Wembley Central for 2.5 hours. Was worth it though. Saints fans in good voice and the team played admirably - was expecting us to get hammered but in the end we dominated large parts of the game
-
I'm going ! Saints will win and we'll be glad it wasn't called off!
-
He may have been poor last night but he had a good game at Nottingham - that, however, may be a reflection of how poor Forest are than how good DC was.
-
Where's everyone going for a drink? 3 of us going - we're heading for the Wellington and the Anchor. http://www.thewellingtonrealale.co.uk/ http://www.anchorinndigbeth.co.uk/

This is the time we need to get behind the team - if the fans can influence team performance then let's do our best over these next two games to do exactly that.
-
If you think we're bad now just thank yourself you're not back in the 70's / 80s - I went to many away game and there wasn't more than a few hundred (if that) Saints fans present and there was no singing because if you did sing, you got wacked by the local loonies who were also in the away end with you. I still think if we have a home end - not shared with the visiting fans (they can go in a corner) - we might be more creative and better with our sinhing and choice of songs - this will then translate to the away games as well. Despte this I enjoy away games much more - usually there are more fans willing to sing than not - am looking forward to Brum away !
-
I like it - you start it off and I'll join in !

I decided to go to this game rather than the FA cup last week-end as i want to see how the team perform in the second half of the season and a good result here could set us up for a good push in the second half, as you say Saint Fan CaM, this could be a defining game.........................
-
To be consistent, imo, then a goal every third game (so 1 goal scored for every 3 starts, coming on as sub is considered a start)
-
Gamble !
-
He (imo) deserves a second chance if he recognises what caused the break-apart in the first place and acknowledge his role in the break-apart.

What would really annoy the skates is if we start being nice to them - we applaud their players when they do somethig good, we only sing about our team and we don't respond to their provocation (songs, gestures or verbals). That would confuse the hell out of them and show them up as a bunch of nasty, vicious mongs that they really are....
-
I was at Plymouth and was, unfortunately, sat in the home end (perhaps a bit like watching yesterday's game on the tele?). There was only set of fans making noise and it was the Saints fans. However, as our goals meant we were vurtually promoted and Plymouth were definitely relegated, it's a bit hard to compare the two games.

And I've seen a couple of others which I thought were offside and another where there was a clear foul in the build up. If you think about it, really, fatty hasn't scored yet this season. Southampton Goal Machine my arse I'd sooner have Huselklepp any day of the week. Well they can keep faith in Huselklepp and we will keep faith in Rickie - I know which team has a better chance of promotion !!!!!!

Iowsaintsfan; This really does show that many of the travelling fans DID sing and make an real effort to keep it going! Well done to all those Saints fans singing at Fratton, wish i could have been with you!
