I'm also on the train and plan to start in the Brewery Tap, looking at it's web-site it looks OK, not a rough-house, and it has several real ales.

I have to own up, but i was so disappointed at half time that i went to watch the tele............... Only to sneak a look at the results to see that we had won, looking forward to Saturday - first time on a terrace for a long time. COYS !

Have my eye on the Brewery Tap (apparently the home pub of Oakhome Ales, who brew in P'boro) or the Palmerston Arms (10 different beers on offer). However, I'm not sure of opening times as I'm not normally looking for a few beers at 3 o'clock in the afternoon!

Just looked and there's no picture nor any mention of Saints - total media specualtion! -
I'm not sure I would include McGoldrick in the "golden generation".........

Saints vs Manchester Utd - 4th Round FA Cup Draw
red&white56 replied to saint_bert's topic in The Saints
At home - we must have an outside chance - remember Leeds turned them over at Old Trafford last season so there is always the chance we could win at SMS -
Excellent fans site - really enjoyed the format. Wish we had something similar!

I never thought he was as bad as many made him out to be. Good luck tohim for th e future

I thought he had a good game, despite the misses. As others have said, he brings skill and unpredictability to our play which unsettles the opposition's back 4.

And Sheff Wed ?

Lallana - because he shows a real desire to get into the penalty area to support attacks, his dribbling skill and his passion. But this doesn't mean that I don't like Drew...............

Saints 3 Notts County 1 - Post Match Reaction
red&white56 replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Poor start to the game by Saints - we were second to every ball and didn't look like we were ready for the game to start. Fonte was excellent at the back and made several crucial tackles to keep us in the game. Up front Barnard was palying well and loked like he wanted to win, but was getting hacked by the County defense and getting no support from the officials. Rickie was double marked for most of the match and didn't really do too much except the free-kick which hit the post. It was no surprise when they scored. A lot of our attacking went through the Punch, who always seemed to run into dead-ends orplayed a far too ambitious ball. I don't remember seeing much of MS or Lallana much in the first half - Hammond was putting himself about but we were losing it in midfield. Second half didn't really start much better and to be frank, until the penalty and red card, I was expecting us to lose. Even playing with 10 men we managed to let them threaten us far too much, and even with the second goal (couldn't see too much from where I was stood) we didn't look very comfortable. Lallana's goal was pure class, what a player! MOM - Barnard - for keeping their defense nervous and occupied all game. -
PM'd you back
